I've used a few flat top stoves before and always ended up preferring gas stoves because I can actually see how much heat is touching the pan. While the stainless steel Kenmore 30" Electric Cooktop is better than many I've tried before, I still really prefer gas to electric. Overall it's a very good appliance, but I wish I had more control over the heat. Temperature Control The temper control on this is not very good. I can't really tell how high the heat is and a lot of times I end up burning things or they take forever to cook. It's frustrating and I just can' seem to get the hang of it. Ease of Cleaning This is by far the best thing about this stove. The flat surface makes it really easy to clean since you don't have to worry about removing burners or those little trap thing that you have to clean out in a standard stove. Speaking as someone who is super lazy and hates cleaning, this is definitely the product for you if you want an easy cleanup after cooking.
