I have never stayed in a hotel this bad before. Dirty, dirty, and dirty. the sheets, towels were thread bare and dingy. All the towel racks, tp holder,etc. had been torn off the walls and throne in the corner of the bathroom. It made me wonder if someone had tried to hang themselves. It looked like the room door had been kicked in at one point. Other guests looked like they were long term residents with furniture moved out on the walkways, cats, dogs staying in the rooms. A sign on the highway advertised rooms for $10 less than was offered on the internet. I didn't see any red carpets just Crumbling concrete, weeds, and mold growing on ceiling in the bathroom. Hey, but on the bright side the roof didn't leak. The Owner is obviously not putting money back in the business, unless you count the security cameras mounted haphazzardly in all the common areas.

UPDATE (again): After having such a great experience the last time I used this site, I opted to use it again. It was another last minute flight and they once again had the cheapest price of anyone. Same as before, the whole booking procedure was very easy to do. I was sent confirmation immediately and was able to print out my tickets ahead of time. I wasn't able to pick my seats, but I think it was based on the class I booked in. The seats were selected for me and were actually ones I would have picked anyway. Overall, another great experience and I will definitely be using them again if the price is right. UPDATE: After writing this review I went ahead and books a flight through Kayak. The airlines website quoted me $2000 for a last minute flight and Kayak came in at $600. I obviously couldn't pass it up and since I was going to use it in less than 2 weeks I went ahead and booked it. After booking I immediately received a confirmation from Kayak with a booking number, I was then able to go onto the airlines website and and check into the flight and reserve my seats. Super easy and the whole transaction was extremely quick with no problems. Would definitely use again fro last minute bookings of air fare. When Kayak was first introduced many years ago it was simply a flight comparison site. I used it all the time and recommended it to several people who I know travel a bunch. Now it's much more than just a comparison site, but rather a travel site where you can actually book flights, hotels, cars, etc. What's nice about Kayak is that it will search most major airlines and most major travel websites and then show you the results all in one place. This is great, but often times not very accurate. Aside from sometimes not being accurate, it only searches SOME airlines, not all. I often find cheaper flights by either going directly to the airlines website or searching an airline that is not even listed on Kayak. I would definitely suggest shopping around before committing. I am left feeling a bit uncomfortable actually booking a flight through them though. I am in need of a last minute flight and on Kayak it comes to roughly $611 one way. When I check the actual airline, that same flight is $3,500. This is an insane difference of almost $2,900. How in the world is Kayak able to sell that same flight for so cheap? That reason alone leaves me very skeptical and a bit uncertain if I want to chance it. The only reason I might do it is because the flight is only weeks away and Kayak HAS been around for awhile.

Ease of Use Prices are shown easy and no hidden fees. Options for filtering your preference in accommodations works great! Mobile site never crashed like most travel sites and had lots of pictures and ratings readily available for each hotel. Features Mobile app, filtering accommodations and star preference ratings. Location finder is top I'm the industry for sure. Trendy site with great prices and deals to save money on your vacation. Coupon codes for mobile site when booked. I liked on the site how it shows the original price and then the new discounted price. Plus there's a countdown for now long the hotel will be on sale or when it's going to be cheaper. Customer Service Fast response and you can talk to a live person on the phone which was nice because most company's don't have that option.

I have to admit I have only used Kayak to compare prices on flights. The website itself is actually very easy to use, and navigate through. The layout is easy to understand and it's nice that it compares against other sites like Expedia, Priceline, Hotwire etc. It just makes it easier to only have to check the one website and then with a click of a button if will check all the other sites. I do not however feel like Kayak is always the cheapest option. They are usually in the middle when it comes to prices, but I do like to always check just to be sure. Like I mentioned in one of my previous posts, when I just google flights from (one city) to (other city) usually Google gives me the best price options for whats out there, and they I check out the airlines website to confirm. That's been my best option so far, and I will continue to just use Google but I like to check all of my options on travel websites just to be sure.

I like that everything is categorized depending upon what you want to do and where, I also like the variety of different travel arrangements you can make based on the season and the way in which you want to travel. I love the time they took to organize everything so that you don't have to hunt down any available deals they may have. A truly wonderful experience when using this site. Customer Service This site offer their customers an exceptional customer service every time time I use them. When I am planning a trip, I usually have a ton of questions to ask about this or that. I can honestly say this site is wonderful with last minute details and plans. They think of everything, including everything you forgot about.

Kayak helps compare hundreds of travel websites at once that enables you to choose the best option and make a booking. Though I have never witnessed it comparing more than ten travel websites at once, I might be doing something wrong. You can trust this website when you are short of time or looking to book some last minute deals and trying to find the best deal out there. I used it to book a car on my domestic trip to some state. It came up with the best possible rated in the area and had like three to four websites to compare. I chose the best deal for me and went ahead and got the booking done. I had no issues whatsoever in picking and dropping my car from and to the location I mentioned. My booking was honored and I was satisfied with one time experience of using Kayak. I might use this website some time soon when I am in search of a good car rental deal, for hotels and airlines, I have better websites to choose from.

Kayak is a really great travel comparison site overall. It complies the cheapest options from all of the major airlines and travel sites. My only gripe is that instead of all of the different options showing up on one webpage, Kayak has them each appear in a separate pop-up which could lead to a very cluttered computer screen. No one likes pop-ups! Ease of Use Kayak.com is pretty easy to use. One of the simplest sites to use in my opinion. Again, my only complaint is that search results show up in different pop-up windows instead of on one page. Features Kayak has a ton of filtering options! You can weed your options down so that you can only see the specific things you want in a vacation or trip. You can search as broad or as specific as you'd like. Customer Service I have never had to use Kayak's customer service, fortunately. I would assume they are kind, polite, and professional. Because the site is so simple to use, I cannot imagine anyone having any issues with the site.

I love love love the fact that I can put in one search query and choose all the different travel sites that I want to get flight and hotel info from. What I HATE is that it then opens a million different windows and clutters up my screen like crazy! How am I supposed to keep all that organized on my screen?! Why can't it just open up new tabs, no matter what I've done to my settings it just won't ever change. It would be even more awesome if it just returned all the results on one page, so that I could then rank the flights by price and see which site it's from right there. Ease of Use when on Kayak it's super easy to put in my travel information and pick who I wanted rates from. Their website is super clean and organized and simple to view. I love that it's pleasant to look at. Features I actually really like the features of kayak. They will show you related flights, related travel options, a calendar with different pricing for different days, making it super easy to know if you should adjust your travel plans to make it more affordable. Customer Service Kayak is better than some of the other travel sites when it comes to customer service. BUT they are still just the middle man, and it takes some perseverance to get what you need from them. On the up side it's like they care about you at least a little more than the other travel sites do.

Kayak.com is a really cool website for travel. You enter in where you are going or what airline you need, the dates of travel, and how many people and it searches every website out there for the best deal. It is sort of every travel website in one. I used this last year for a family vacation and was surprised at how easy it was to use. I entered in the information and within a minute I had more choices than I knew what to do with! One thing I loved with the hotel search was how I could narrow it down to what we needed. Like we had to have wi-fi in the room and a pool was a must, I clicked on those and only hotels with those amenities popped up. You can also select by rating which is nice. Ease of Use I used it for the first time last year and was surprised at how easy it was to use. This is a very user friendly website. Features You can book flights, car rental, and hotels all off this one website. It shows reviews and all amenities.

Kayak does allow you to compare hundreds of travel sites at once (literally), however, it does not compare everything for you. It only compares hotels, and more often than not, I can't find the ones I want to stay at. It does allow you to compare airline tickets as well, but you have to do individual searches, making it more time consuming than they promote it to be. Ease of Use The site is quite navigable. The main issue I have is that you must search everything individually, in comparison to sites like hotwire or priceline, which allow you to find all inclusive deals. You have to search hotel, airfare, airlines, and other deals individually. Features Again, search criteria and features are limited. You can find everything, but you must run each as an individual search. This makes searches more time consuming, and if you are looking for all inclusive package deals, I suggest searching elsewhere. Customer Service Agents are friendly and knowledgeable. They respond to emails quickly, and offer online chat assistance, if you want to find answers to questions directly as you are searching and booking deals.
