The sleek design drew me to this toaster initially. The feel of it is substantial and solid. It looks great, which was an important consideration for me. It holds many odd shapes of bread, and fits two larges slices easily, as well as thicker slices and bagels. Both the defrost and bagel settings work as expected. It toasts evenly, and the settings are clear and easily adjustable. For those very fussy about your toast, being able to watch it toast is a bonus. No more burnt toast! I have had it about 2 months now and toast almost every day. It is easy to keep clean, both inside and out, and does not show finger prints and smudges the way most stainless toasters do. The only reason I did not give it a rating of 10 is that it is a little slower than my last toaster, but not enough that it should bother anyone. Toasting Evenness Even using different shapes and sizes of bread, the toasting evenness is great. No burnt spot or completely untoasted spots. Ease of Cleaning A slide out crumb tray takes care of crumbs easily, and it is simple to open it up to clean the glass panel. Durability It feels quite solid, but I have only had it for about two months. Design It dresses up my kitchen counter. The sleek, functional look gets compliments from everyone that has seen it.

This toaster exceeded my expectations in design and functionality. I loved the look and performance. Toasting Evenness The toaster toasts both of sides of toast, English muffins, waffles with the same evenness and consistency. I love the Bagel feature where only one side of the toaster coil illuminates. The interior side of the bagel is placed so that it faces forward. You can watch the item being toasted and stop toasting when desired colored is achieved. Ease of Cleaning The Kalorik has a removable crumb tray for super easy cleaning. There's no turning the appliance upside down and shaking it to dislodge crumbs from the applicance. The crumb tray slides out easily for quick cleaning. Durability The Kalorik is sturdy and well-built. I've found that with toasters, when you move them, the insides make a lot of noise. That was not the case with the Kalorik. Design I love the sleek design and brushed stainless steel exterior. It fits right in whether you have stainless steel appliances or another color. There is one dial to adjust for the light/dark toast with 7 settings. I loved that this toaster has a defrost option. Many toasters do not although toaster ovens do.
