I purchased this John Frieda Weather Works Proofing daily shampoo when I saw it in the store! I love John Frieda hair care products and I had never seen a shampoo made specifically for weather proofing so my interest was definitely peaked. I purchased and used this shampoo daily along with the John Frieda Weather Works proofing conditioner. I have very thick and frizzy half Hispanic hair that is easily affected by the weather conditions. I like in a climate with very varied weather conditions even within the same season. There's a good mix of rain, heat, cold, and humidity and it wreaks havoc on my hair! But when I use this shampoo I can wear my hair down even when it's raining or humid outside whereas before I could never do that because my hair would be ruined within the minute that I walked out to my car. This shampoo is gentle enough to use every day and it doesn't dry out my hair. It leaves my hair very clean and it effectively prevents the weather or other external factors from messing up my hair after styling. It has a pleasant scent that makes my hair smell very good. Overall, I would definitely recommend John Frieda Weather Works Proofing Daily shampoo for a variety of hair types and weather conditions!

I'm always on the look out for products that work in various and inclement weather since New England is notorious for throwing you different temperatures and conditions day by day. When I saw the name John Frieda Weather Works Weather Proofing Daily Shampoo, I just had to try it. I've got naturally curly hair so I've tried a lot of John Frieda products over the years with various levels of success. Unfortunately, it didn't work better than what I was previously using. I assumed that this product would help with dry hair during the winter but I did not feel like my hair became softer or more manageable after using it. In fact, my hair was comparatively tangled and lifeless, which is not a good combination! It was harder to get my hair straight and shiny. I could see more naps, split ends, and fly-aways than normal so I had to use more styling product and apply more heat. I'm not trying to damage my hair more than I have to and i don't have the extra time it took to style my hair in the morning. I will give this another try when the weather warms up and see if it helps with frizziness from humid conditions. I think that might be what it is better suited for though it says for it will help in any weather.

The John Frieda Weather Works by Frizz Ease Weather Proofing Daily Shampoo is a very nice drugstore shampoo. It definitely does make my hair sleeker and softer, which is a bit of a miracle since my hair is normally somewhat poofy and dry. It also manages to keep hair looking sleek even in humidity! The Frizz Ease brand by John Frieda has always been decent for my hair, and I think the Weather Works collection is another nice product! I have recommended it to friends and they've liked it too. One of my friends even went to Florida and used it and said it was the best thing in the humidity there. The shampoo is nice and pearly and lathers up well. I do feel that you should use the matching conditioner afterwards or your hair will feel rather dry, but I think you should always use conditioner after shampooing. One of the best things about this shampoo is how glossy it leaves your hair. My hair is always shiny when I use this! And of course it smells and feels lovely.

At first, I had tried a sample of this and I absolutely loved it.  Right after I had used it, my hair was definitely loving it.  You could really tell that my hair was much more softer.  For the most part, my hair is normally frizzy and dry. So you could imagine my relief of the results.  Even in the humidity, it kept my hair looking so silky! The Frizz Ease brand by John Frieda is defnitely in my top of products.  So of course, the Weather Works collection is another of my favorite products! I recommended it to several of my friends and they also loved it. This shampoo makes your hair feel so nice.   I like that it lathers up well. Naturally, you should use the weather works conditioner afterwards, but who wouldn't buy the set anyway?  My hair was always so shiny when I used this! The smell of the shampoo was also an added bonus this wonderful product.  My hair thanks John Frieda for this product.

The John Frieda Weather Works shampoo is really good to soften and care for your hair. I have been using it for a while. My hair is thin and tends to dry up at the bottom but is oily on the top. This shampoo is like a moisturizer that does not get my hair oily. I love it. I apply it everyday. It is creamy and soft and does not dry up my hair. I use another brand of conditioner afterwards, but the Frieda Weather Works shampoo allows the conditioner to work better. My hair is more manageable and I can apply products for keeping it shaped. The hair remains soft and nice to the touch. Other shampoos dry it up. But that doesn't happen with John Frieda Weather Works. I highly recommend this shampoo.  I have to still try their conditioner. But I have been also using the John Frieda serum for anti frizz hair. I LOVE it. Just ONE drop and my hair is back to life. So their shampoo makes the same effect really. It softens and leaves the hair healthy and ready for everything else. No complains.

I have been using the John Frieda weather proofing shampoo for a couple of weeks and it seems that it works okay. I still have some frizz to my hair.The more I use it the less I like it.I love other products by John Frieda but this isn't one of them.This product may work for others but not me.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! I LIVE IN FLORIDA WHERE IT IS HUMID ALMOST ALL SUMMER LONG. MY HAIR GETS THICKER AND FRIZZIER WITH THE HUMIDITY HERE NO MATTER WHAT I USE. ITHEN FOUND WEATHERWORKS. I COULDNT WAIT TO TRY IT. THE FIRST TIME I USED IT I COULDNT BELIEVE IT WORKED LIKE IT DID. USUALLY SHAMPOOS AND CONDITIONERS TAKE A FEW DAYS TO SEE RESULTS. ATLEAST WITH MY HAIR ANYWAY. Hi! I have recently bought and used the John Frieda weatherproof shampoo and thought it would work well due to the brand. Wrong! I have used a number of John Frieda products in the past and this is by far the worst. I did not like it at all. It claims to keep your hair managable in any weather. I am sure excluded high wind and such but it still doesn't work. I had more fly-aways then I had with any other shampoo I have used and also my hair seemed or at least felt unhealthy and looked very flat. I am very disappointed in this shampoo. I also used the John Frieda weather proofing conditioner and it as well fell flat for me. I will never buy this particular shampoo and conditioner again. I believe I used it for approximately 2-3 weeks thinking maybe you had to use it to get the effects but I was wrong. I don't believe it did anything to help my hair in the weather. Fly-aways are a big problem and something I look to solve with a shampoo and conditioner and thought the whole weather proofing thing would be best. if that is what you are looking for in a shampoo I would not by it.

I will admit I was skepitical about this line working as well as promoted. I have tried some other John Frieda products and not been impressed however this line really does work wonders. I live in Mississippi where the Spring and Summer humidity will suffocate you and make you think you are going to look in the mirror and see gills on the side of your neck! So I had been waiting to try this until the weather got cooking and it has, which equals a frizzfest on my poor head. My husband and I had a special date planned for all day and into the evening but sadly the forecast was for rain and high humidity. I decided this was the perfect time to testdrive the sample I had recieved. I was truly amazed with the results! I did use 4 products from this line for the day. Shampoo, Conditioner, Styling Cream  & Hairspray. We spent the day out in the oppresive humidity, My hair did not change, the style stayed put even after sweating and the underside of my hair being damp and then redrying after we went into the air conditioning. I was shocked at how well this product worked. I was even more impressed after we got caught in a downpoar upon retuning home and my hair getting soaked because when I got up this morning to do my hair for work, after brushing it out still NO FRIZZ! It really does work astoundingly well and I will buying all 4 products this week to get me through the rest summer! Bonus: My hair was soft and silky! AND had great body! No flatiron was involved! Natural hair type is lightly wavey and is fairly long (past shoulder blades) Went light on hairspray as it does feel rather stiff.

I have naturally curly often times un-managable hair and live in a climate where the weather is always changing. You never know what the weather will be like. I had seen many commercials for the shampoo and conditioner and how it somehow works with the different weather to help manage the frizz associated with dry conditions and the poofing associated with humidity problems. I thought that the shampoo would help me to reduce the amount of time I had to spend on controlling my hair for weather situations and allow me to use less products on my hair to achieve a desirable outcome. I used both the shampoo and conditioner and the outcome wasn't nearly what I had expected. Yes, it allowed me a little more time to fix my hair and didn't have to rush to it right away and throw gel on it. As long as my hair was wet, it was silky smooth, but as soon as it started to dry, it began to frizz and applying other products on dry hair, only managed to dry my hair out. Even if I began to dry my hair after using the John Frieda Weather Works Shampoo and Conditioner, the frizz was out of control and I had to add serum and spray down with hair spray to manage the fly aways. Then I felt my hair wasn't very flowing and weighed down again from product. After about four hours, I had to reapply hair spray to control it. By the end of the day, I felt like my scalp was loaded with hair. It didn't work for me, but maybe it will work for you.
