Love this product!

I've always been impressed by John Frieda products, and they won me over yet again with this awesome product. John Frieda Root Awakening Nourishing Moisture Conditioner was super effective and one of my favorites so far. I tend to struggle with dry and itchy scalp, and used in combination with the shampoo, I got really great results from this product. The conditioner is thick and rich, easy to apply, and overall just feels great on my hair from root to tip. The smell is revitalizing and for me, was actually kind of a mood lifter! The product was both moisturizing and also felt as if it was providing relief for my dry scalp. The scent is gender neutral and it doesn't appear to be a "girly" shampoo, so it is husband-approved as well. The price is really not all that bad, especially if you are able to snag some coupons and buy it while it's on sale. I would definitely recommend this product.

John Frieda's Root Awakening Conditioner Saves Damaged Hair

My hair gets really dry and frizzy during the winter. This is why I decided to give John Frieda Root Awakening Nourishing Moisture Conditioner a try. Overall I was really pleased with this product. One thing that I really liked about John Frieda's Root Awakening Nourishing Moisture Conditioner was its nice, fresh scent. I also liked the fact that it didn't leave a heavy film on my hair like some other conditioners I've tried in the past. In addition, I liked the fact that this product is reasonably priced and easy to find at my local drug store. The best thing about John Frieda's Root Awakening Nourishing Moisture Conditioner is that it does a great job returning moisture to your hair. After using this product for just a week I noticed a huge difference in my hair and it was way less frizzy. I would highly recommend this product for people looking for a great moisturizer for their hair.

Super Smooth Hair!

I have used a lot of John Frieda products in the past. Some I loved, some I wasn't thrilled with. Root Awakening Conditioner definitely goes in the love category for me. I had originally just bought the complimentary shampoo, and really liked it, so I decided to get the conditioner as well. My hair felt wonderful from the first time I used it, and t only got better from there. The shampoo and conditioner smell really nice without being overpowering and the scent lasts, which is nice. I really couldn't believe how shiny this made my hair, even my husband noticed! And unlike other products that I have used that seem to start out great and then work less well over time the Root Awakening conditioner seems to continually improve my hair. Even the ends, which have always been dry and prone to splitting, feel smooth and silky. My hair has always tended to be frizzy and "puffy" and even after straightening it just never looked or felt as smooth as I would like. The Root Awakening conditioner leaves my hair as smooth as straightening used to...before I straighten it!

pleased with results in conjunction with shampoo

This winter I was dealing with a serious dry, flaky, and itchy scalp. I would see white flakes dropping with just the tiniest brush of my hair and it left me quite self conscious. I was in the market for a new option for flaky scalp and when I saw that John Frieda was now offering this shampoo and conditioner I was pleasantly surprised. Surprisingly there are not many options to this problem. I used this conditioner in conjunction with the shampoo and after just a week to 2 weeks I began to see results. After a month of use my flakes are cleared up, my scalp is moisturized and it no longer itches. I can speak highly about the effectiveness for the scalp treatment, however, I do not find there to be a difference one way or another my actual hair. I did not have a problem as far as breakage to begin with, so I can not speak to whether this is effective for hair repair. Effectiveness Pleasantly surprised. Noticeable difference in a short period of time. Scent The scent is subtle and almost spa like. It is not overwhelming. A hint of mint is the best way I can describe it.

Works Great! Love This Conditioner!

I have to say that I love the John Frieda Collection. The Root Awakening Nourishing Moisture Conditioner worked great on my hair. My hair is very thick and curly, and can be frizzy, dry, and hard to manage. With this conditioner, I was able to easily comb through my hair, and it was so soft. Using it with the matching shampoo was great. My scalp and hair felt clean and the smell is great; not too strong or overpowering. The conditioner is not greasy and rinses easily. Whether I use heat to dry and straighten my hair or leave it curly, my hair is soft and manageable. In my opinion this is a great product and is not too expensive which is another plus. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. Effectiveness Product is great. This conditioner rinses clean and easily and my hair is soft and much more manageable after using it. There is nothing bad I can say about this product! Scent This conditioner has a nice, clean, fresh smell. It is not too overpowering. Absolutely great!

Livens roots

This conditioner should be used on more of oily types of hair or hair with no volume or life. If it is used on dry hair it is only, in my opinion, going to make it more brittle and dry than it may already be. The conditioner does do wonders for oily hair, as it lifts it and gives it volume and life, while nourishing it and replenishing the the ends. It does what it should in all the right places, for example, volume up top but sleek and shine down at the bottom. When i used this hair, i was really pleased with the height and volume that this conditioner gave my hair. It helped to eliminate the oil in my hair, but still keeping it smooth. It also helped to make my hair look much fuller. I would say it is effective for only certain types of hair, and i would not recommend it to those with dry hair just because it did dry out my roots. I am also not a big fan of the scent of this conditioner.

Root Awakening conditioner worked great.

I really loved this Root Awakening Nourishing Moisture Conditioner by John Frieda. I think it did everything it claimed it would do - it gave my hair MUCH needed moisture, and I feel did a number to my roots as well. My hair is dry by everything that has been done to it throughout the years, and I love that this conditioner worked as well as it did. It went on super easily and when I rinsed my hair, it was unbelievably smooth. After I combed my hair through and added more product, I could still tell the difference. This conditioner even left my hair smooth and silky AFTER I blew it dry! I now love all products by John Frieda and use them when I feel I've been damaging my hair a little too much. I have even gotten my sister hooked on this conditioner. Effectiveness It worked for me on my first go round with it. Left my hair ridiculously smooth and moisturized. Better than any other conditioner I've tried before. Scent Smelled great!

The scent is the best part.

I really like this conditioner. The best part for me is the scent. It has a very clean, eucalyptus scent to it that is very refreshing.y have complimented me on it's scent. People have actually asked me what I have in my hair when I've used this conditioner. The I do like the conditioner, in that it makes my hair feel very soft and smooth. I have very course, kinky, thick, curly hair that is very unmanageable. This product lessens that unmanageability and helps to keep my hair under control. It also leaves my hair very shiny. I think for anyone with difficult hair, they should give this product a try. I really like all of John Frieda's hair products and would recommend them to everyone. The price for this is decent too. Not cheap, but not TOO expensive either. I've bought much more expensive hair products that didn't work nearly as well as this one did, which is always funny to me. You would think the more expensive a product is, the better it will work. That old saying "You get what you pay for" isn't necessarily the case for everything.

really smooths your hair

I used to have beautiful , thick , wavy hair which I took for granted . When I hit menopause , my hair took a big hit . It started thinning out like crazy ( lack of estrogen , I guess ) and became dry and coarse .I was devastated . I have tried SO many products to try to restore some of the former lift and beauty to my hair and this is on the winner's list . Since my hair has dried out , due to coloring and aging and hormones outy of whack, I really need soemthing to moisturize my hair without weighing it down and making it look even thinner . John Frieda's Root awakening did all that and more . The conditioner is very thick and has a nice scent - kind of minty or plantlike s,omething herbal anyway . It glided through my hair and my hair felt instantly smoother ,less frizzy and coarse . I usually see quite a few hairs that have fallen out when I get out of the shower , but there were none so this is gentle too . It made my hair look so much fuller and smoother and YOUNGER . People noticed and asked what did you to do your hair ? I was only to glad to share what made my hair look so much better . This is close to the conditioners you get in the little packets that come with Colorsilk that actually make your hair feel smooth and healthy and not oily .I have been looking for a full sized product like that and I think Root Awakening is a winner !

Not really my kind of conditioner.

While I normally adore John Frieda hair care this conditioner was a bit of a disappointment. I'm not terribly fond of the smell- it reminds me a bit of other John Frieda Conditioners mixed with bug repellant- but I could have over looked that if it weren't for it's lack of... doing anything special. It's not necessarily a bad conditioner it just lacks the usual quality I expected from John Frieda. It doesn't seem aimed to any particular hair type and doesn't seem to do much, at least not for my hair. After using it for two weeks I've found it to be rather lack luster. It didn't particularly nourish or moisturize. it wasn't a bad conditioner but I think there are better ones out there for a similar price. Effectiveness I'd say the effectiveness was so-so. While it didn't do anything great for my hair it also didn't leave residue or completely neglect to moisturize it. I just wasn't outstanding, for regular, non-damaged hair I'd say it was okay but even then i don't think it'd be worth the typical price of John Frieda products. Scent I really did not like the scent of this one. It smelled like other John Frieda conditioners do but with a minty bug spray/toothpaste scent mixed in. I imagine that's the eucalyptus and peppermint. While some may like that ,it's just not my favorite smell in the world. Some say energizing, I say irritating.
