Our previous home was a cabin on several acres of land high in the mountains. Consequently, keeping a proper fire-clearance on the property was always a very high priority. Our John Deere 42" Riding Lawn Mower BG20444 made what would've been an imagonably huge chore into a surprisingly enjoyable task. I don't know a lot about mowers so don't ask me about the engine or and mechanical specifics, but I can tell you that it has a surprisingly comfortable seat and is extremely easy to drive, control and maneuver. Our land was on a hill and scattered with large boulders. I never felt our mower struggle on the hills (in forward or reverse) and I could easily maneuver it around the giant rocks and fence posts. It cut well too, keeping the long grass in check throughout fire season each year. I really don't have anything negative to say about it. The John Deere 42" Riding Lawn Mower BG20444 gets the job done.

I bought the John Deere tractor this past summer as a gift for myself. I had previous experience with this tractor prior to purchasing one of my own so I knew before purchasing it was an item I really wanted. I really love the way it has proven to be extremely durable and strong. The forty two inch cutting deck makes quick work of most any area you could want to cut. The tractor also drives well and is easily maneuvered even into the tightest spots in most yards. In time you can learn to do the entire yard without backing up even once. Maintenance on this mower is fairly easy and straight forward, easily accessing the engine oil dip stick and spark plug, makes for simple tune ups. The belt driven deck gives you a much quieter and vibration free operation. The tractor is easily cleaned and stored for the winter. The John Deere is a little more expensive than some of the others but you do get a lot for your money, I would recommend this tractor to anyone seeking a yard tractor.

I have used John Deere mowers my whole life since my family owns a John Deere franchise and this mower is one of many that my family has purchased. I love it! It rides easy, works great, is easy to work on, and was very affordable. I live in Florida, so the grass can be hard to mow, but this John Deere takes it on like a pro. I have had it for two years and I think it might be the best yet. This mower has never had any problems with the blades getting clogged or dull and it has only had one mechanical issue, which I fixed easily. The motor is very easy to work if you are familiar with other John Deere motors. The seat on this mower is also very comfortable and since I do most of the mowing, I am definitely the expert on that! We have about two and a half acres of yard and I am able to do the whole yard in one shot without getting uncomfortable. I don't have to go very slowly either, even though our grass is kind of thick; I can go at a comfortable pace through the yard and get it done fairly quickly, which I really like. Handling This riding mower takes turns very easily, which is something I have noticed that other mowers do not do as well. Durability I think that this John Deere model is more durable than other models that I have owned.

I have had experience with allot of lawn tractors and in my opinion John Deere is one of the best. It is very Reliable, very sturdy, easy to handle, easy to work on and is useful for most any yard work. I have seen many old John Deere Tractors still running strong after years of use and abuse. I would defiantly recommendbuying one if your looking for affordable quality and want a lawn tractor that is going to last for years with little or no repairs, whenever I think of lawn tractors John Deere is the first one that comes to my mind I don't think I would ever want another brand. why not stick with a fantastic machine that you know is going to be there when you need it most?

 I do not have a John Deer but my neighbor does and he lets me use it when mine is in the shop. I like the smooth mowing that it does and the uick turning and the fact that when i have to back up I do not have to disengage the mower like i do with my MTD.

I am disabled and cannot work, so  it's nice to have friends and somone to hang out with. I have just started an evening Texas Holdem poker game night at my house and I am looking forward to that, As far as being messy, that goes back to being a kid. My mother was always yelling at me to clean up my room. I guess I'm just lazy when it comes to cleaning up after myself. Ialways have other things to do and cleaning up is not a priority. My stepson lives with me now and he is just as messy as I am. Somehow, we do manage to get around to doing laundry and the dishes, but the pile up before we get to them

I just recently purchased a John Deere 300X Series 42" Lawn Tractor and am on cloud nine!  I thoroughly love the comfortable ride, the great cut, and and that hydrostatic transmission!  It turns on a dime, too! My John Deere 42" cut, mulching mower is the best.  I was so in love with my first one that unfortunately burned up when my house caught fire, that I insisted my husband get me another.  The dealer really had to look around for what I wanted but he came through.  My lawn looks so gorgeous-no clumps of grass all over and it is healthy because the mulched grass "feeds" it.  Even though it is now 7 years old, it runs like it did the first day.  This is one great mower!

I have had a John Deere L107 42" riding lawnmower for the last 4 years. I have never had any problems with it mechanically since the day my husband brought it home. I ride the mower while he weed eats and blows everything off! It's easy to start and runs very well. My husband changes the oil in it regularly and sharpens/replaces the blades. Here in Florida, the weather is hot and the lawn grass is thick bladed St. Augustine which can clog many mowers up because the grass grows so fast and thick during the summer months. I don't have to creep along to prevent the thick grass from clumping up. This is our first John Deere - it won't be the last!

The thing I like most about the John Deere is that I have never had to buy a blade for it and I have had it for several years.  I have hit numerous rocks, since I live in a very rocky area.  With all of my old mowers, I was forever having to buy blades.  Even when I lived where there weren't many rocks, I was always having to buy blades.  But, not with my John Deere! This lawnmower runs smoothly and I like it. The only things I don't like about it is that the tires spin if I try to go up an incline, so I can't mow around the small ditch that is in front of my yard.  Also, the hood doesn't close properly and it  shakes loose.
