This curling iron works great. The barrel is super smooth and doesn't snag your hair at all, so it makes it so easy to start curling your hair towards the middle then do the ends as you would using a Marcel. You could actually use it to straighten your hair if you wanted to. The clamp has just the right amount of pressure allowing you to easily pull your hair through with out too much force but still remain taught. It heats up quickly and the temperature stays constant, up to 430 degrees. The tip of it does get pretty hot it you have it on the highest setting so you gotta be careful not to burn yourself. There are no temperature settings on it, just hair types, the courser and thicker, the higher. The only bad thing is its easy to change the setting on it without knowing it. Also, I like to actually see what temperature I'm at, but thats only a minor issue.
