Clairol Professional Shimmer Lights shampoo cost so much money, so I was delighted to buy Jhirmack Silver Brightening Shampoo for gray, blonde, bleached or highlighted hair, for a third of the price. The bottle is a big 20 fluid ounce (591 ml), rather than the 13.5 fluid ounce Pantene product, or 8 fluid ounce Clairol shampoo, so even better value than I had first thought. The bottle is white with a dark pink label. I have my hair highlighted often, and like to keep the blonde looking good, and not brassy so prefer to purchase a product that will keep it looking good.I normally wash my hair every 5 days, because it is shoulder length and I wash it, dry it, use a curling iron on it, and then back comb it like crazy. That is the only way I can get height in it, and then do my French curl at the back. Jhirmack Silver Brightening Shampoo, is a very thick purple colored shampoo, the same as Pantene Pro V Silver Expressions, and Clairol Professional Shimmer Lights, which I sometimes use. It has a very pleasant floral smell that isn't too overpowering. So in the shower, I got my hair wet, then put the shampoo into my hands, and into my hair.  I massaged it in and got a great lather.  Reading the instructions it is to be left on for 2 minutes.  By the time I have showered it runs around 5 minutes.  I rinsed my hair and it was soft with no tangles. I didn't need a second application, which was great, saving time and money. After drying my hair the color looked vibrant.  There was no yellow or brassy color.  The brown, blonde, and gray all looked good.  I styled my hair as usual and was very pleased with the outcome. I went back to the store and purchased 4 more bottles. I am still using them, and loving it. Effectiveness Works every time. My blonde, and silver really stand out. Scent A very feminine floral fragrance.

I got this shampoo for my daughter, who was desperately trying to find a way to get her blonde highlights to be more platinum than yellow. She wanted to dye some strands of hair silver and needed to get the bleached parts more "blonde" first. She had about given up hope when she read about this shampoo, and we decided to give it a try. She decided she was going to dye her hair strands bright blue instead, so used this shampoo for about a week first to brighten up the bleached parts, which were orange/yellowy. It really worked! I was surprised at how effective it was in perking up the bleached parts, but still gave her shiny pretty hair. So...we went ahead with the blue dye and it worked great. After dying her hair though, she continued to use the Jhirmack shampoo, and it lightened the blue up so much that we will need to redo they dye. After about 4 shampoos with this, the blue was about gone, but now she is back to more blonde on the strands. If you have an actual dye color, I wouldn't use this product, but it did what it was supposed to do. So I can tell it would be great for perking up bleached hair, and when I get more gray hairs I am going straight for this shampoo!

Jhirmack Silver Brightening Shampoo for gray, blonde, bleached, or highlighted hair. - I am totally loving this product. It works in a way that no other product has and it is a very good value.  I have been *ahem* bleaching my dark blonde hair to a light blonde for a long time. It tends to go very orange and brassy and I needed a solution. I used to do an expensive toning treatment that deposits a small amount of purple dye to neutralize the orange.  Well Jhirmack Silver Brightening Shampoo does the same thing for a fraction of the price! I wash my hair with it 4-5 times a week. When I use the product, I put it in my hair and leave it in for about five minutes. It deposits a very small amount of purple pigment which neutralizes any brassiness or orange or yellow in your hair. It is a BIG bottle and lasts me about two and a half months. I only do one application and it leaves my hair very clean and soft.  It totally manages my brassiness and is cheap!
