Didn't feel right, hit in all the wrong places

It was difficult to get baby situated comfy, difficult to get set up comfortably for my husband. Our baby wasn't able to turn her head easily. For a women it's not figure friendly at all, it definatly makes your flaws stand out, lol. Over all it just wasn't comfy to wear nor did we feel it truly secure, we still had an arm under the babies bum.

Surprisingly comfortable

I picked this primarily because it would be large enough for my big husband. I was surprised at how well it worked, though, on my tall frame. It seemed like most carriers would end up with the baby's head right under my chin. The Jeep carrier keeps my baby at a reasonable level without adding pressure or strain on my back. I've walked a 5k using the carrier and my back and shoulders didn't hurt from it.

Jeep baby carrier is convenient and easy to use!

I registered for this particular baby carrier when I was pregnant with my first child. There were other similar styles that cost a lot more, and since they looked about the same, I went with this one. For the amount of time I used it, it did the job just fine. I like that the child can be facing you or facing out. Both my boys preferred to see their surroundings rather than just looking at me :) All the straps were completely adjustable, and it was easy to use. I LOVED that the directions were printed right on the inside of the carrier. I have another wrap-style baby carrier, and I needed to reference the instruction manual for a while when getting used to it. It's true that there wasn't a lot of back support or shoulder support, but I never wore this for an extended period of time. If you have big babies, you probably won't be able to use this for too long because it's just not comfortable to have all that weight in front of you.

Jeep is great

After using the baby bajorn I was looking for another baby carrie. After seeing a friend of mine walking around with the Jeep 2 in 1 baby carrier I knew that was the one for me. Alfter buying it and using it right away I knew I made the right choice. The shoulder straps have pad so regardless of the weight of the baby. The great part is that it can be used for a newborn to and infant. You can place the baby towards your chest when they are a newborn and then switch them around when they get big enough or can hold their head up by themselves. One of my favorite feature is the pocket in the front. My baby had some issues with reflux and would just cry. But we both needed to go out for walks, so I did not have to keep everything in my pocket, I could put the pacifer and the burpcloth in the pocket. This was a great feature s the baby bajorn did not have that. I also foune this carrier super comfy!

Jeep Carrier hasn't been that helpful, but is OK.

We bought this product before our now 2.5 year old son was born, hoping that we would be using it quite a bit to carry him around in, rather than having to use his infant carrier. We found that it was not quite the product that we thought it was, and he was not as comfortable in it as we thought he would be. We like the carrier overall, but we did not find that we used it much, since he didn't seem to enjoy it, and we therefore didn't use it as much. Now that we have a new baby in our home, our daughter, we have tried to use it again, and we have used it more in the past month that she has been here than we did the entire time that our son was young. She seems to enjoy it. We do find that it is a little cumbersome to get her out of the carrier, in order to use this product, but it seems worth it once she is in the carrier. Overall, I would recommend the carrier, and we will continue to use it till our daughter grows out of it.

Jeep isn't the best.

I had the Jeep 2-in-1 Carrier on my baby registry because it was cheaper than the Baby Bjorn and seemed to get decent reviews.  I ended up not being crazy about it and barely ever used it.  I love the idea of babywearing, but this wasn't comfortable for me to wear, and didn't seem to be comfortable for my daughter either.  Maybe this is better for a bigger baby -- my daughter was very tiny and she just didn't fit well in it.  Even when she was about 9-12 months the carrier seemed to be crowding her face and I felt like it almost looked like I was being mean putting her in there.  I am now pregnant with my second, and I bought a Moby Wrap to use instead.  I haven't used a Moby Wrap with a newborn yet, but it seems to be a more natural way of wearing the baby and I anticipate liking it more.  The Jeep Carrier just felt very stiff and mechanical with the straps and buckles.  One thing I will say about it is it was fairly easy to put on and take off.

Bad bad carrier stay away

I really love babywearing.  It's a great way to take care of other kids while also caring for a small baby.  However I'm sad to say that I really really dislike this carrier.  It's by far one of the worst designed carriers out there.  This was the first carrier that I purchased, before I knew much about baby wearing.  I found the Jeep 2 in 1 to be very bad on teh back and shoulders.  All the pressure from carrying the baby is put right over your shoulders and square on the upper back.  It actually gave me migraines to use.  My babies never liked it much either.  They would fuss and cry if they were in there for longer then 10 minutes.  I think this is probably because the carrier is what's known as a 'crotch' dangler.  All of the childs weight is put onto their crotch and that is just unnatural and can't be comfortable.  I later learned that this is no good for a baby's hip development.  That certainly seemed to be the case with my kids they were constantly trying to lift their legs up to relieve the pressure on their little private areas.  Stay far far away from this type of carrier.

Great carrier at a great price

While I wanted a wrap to carry my baby in, my husband wanted a baby carrier to carry out daughter in.  We picked this carrier because it was really affordable and from a name that we knew.  We like this carrier a lot as it allows our baby to move around a lot while she is in it.  Also, it is sturdy and provides great support when carrying our baby.  Our daughter loves facing outward so it was so nice to have a carrier that allows her to be carried this way and supports her to be carried this way.  I also like that it adjusts so that different people at different heights (like my husband and I) can both use this carrier and it work well for us.  It is also super easy to wear and put the baby into the carrier.  The only downfall I have is that it makes my shoulders and back hurt after wearing it for a long amount of time.  Also, I often feel I have to keep my hand in front to support my child when I am leaning forward.  Overall, this is great!

the Jeep 2-in-1 Baby Carrier is just average...

this looked like a really cool item when we were registering for things for our son's baby shower.  Plus my husband is really into jeep things, and it made him excited to be able to register for something he might be able to use with the baby! It was kind of pricey, but we decided to register for it anyway.  It's really not that nice, and there are much better products on the market today.  It seemed like our son was never in there very securely.  It almost seemed like he was top heavy and could tumble out at any minute (though I doubt that would really happen, he was in there securely).  It just didn't look very comfortable for him. I also heard after the fact that these kinds of carriers can cause leg problems in children, and that you should really use a sling if you want to carry them around with you.  I don't know how true that is or not, but it's something else to think about before you buy this item.

Durable, Long Lasting Carrier

5

I first bought my Jeep 2 in 1 Carrier with my first daughter and used it like crazy to carry her around. She loved being toted about and typically would fall asleep as I walked her around the lock. I kept it around and when my second daughter was born began to use it with her once she outgrew her Moby Wrap. I love the Jeep 2 in 1 Carrier because it's so durable. I've put it through so much and it lasts and lasts. The clips are a great piece of mind because they are made of great, hard plastic that won't unwrap or unbuckle. The fabric fold over for forward facing babies is great because it gives my teething 6 month old baby something soft to chew on. It's also washable and can hold up really well over time. I like how its not too difficult to put on and you can roll it up and stuff it back in its bag when you are done with it. No muss, no fuss.  A great gift to give any Mom who wants to baby-wear.
