I purchased this sewing machine in 2008 after much research. i wasn't willing to spend a lot since my main goal was to have a machine around for repairs but mainly to sew a quilt for the little girl waiting for me in the People's Republic of China. I gathered squares from other friends - real life and internet - and was just dying to put together my daughter's quilt. When I was i high school many years ago I did take a semester of sewing so I'm not a complete novice but I hadn't sewn in many years partly due to cheep machines frustrating me. After receiving this machine I read through the manual and set out to sew my squares together. Yay finally I could sew without having the bobbin knot up a hundred times and therefore wanting to throw the machine through the window! I did finish my daughter's quilt and went on not only to bring home another daughter from China - but to sew a second quilt for her!
