I love Jack Black's Beard Lube. It is sensitive on my acne-prone face and allows me to get a clean and close shave without drying out my skin. It is a little pricey but it is definitely worth the price. The only negative thing I have to say is that since it is a "lube," it doesn't foam up like a gel or a cream does. I wish it foamed, only because I am used to creams and it helps me see where I have already shaved, but it is just a personal preference.

I have been buying this shaving cream for a long part of my adulthood, to the point that now I get Jack Black products as presents, including Christmas. And I have to say, if you are a good boy, this is what you would find in your stocking. Jack Black shaving cream will not dry your face, will not leave behind knicks on your skin, and will help you get rid of all those tiny facial hairs that are hard to get. I prefer it to other brands that, contrary to Jack Black's, leave your face dry and do not lubricate appropriately. Effectiveness Will help razor glide perfectly and will reduce cuts and redness. Scent Almost neutral, very subtle. It is what you want to avoid irritation.

I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas last year as he wanted to upgrade all his shaving stuff.  He currently uses a double-edge with a badger brush when using this Jack Black product for the best results.   I have to say, he really liked it.  For the closest shave here's what he does:  he takes an extremely hot towel and pats it on his face for a couple seconds; this prevents him from needing any type of pre-shave oil.  Then he applies the cream; though the cream gets a good lather by itself, he mixes it with a bit of water (in a separate bowl) to thin it out a bit.  Apply with the brush, and shave.  He usually does this for two to three more times.  Then add an after-shave. This is fairly time consuming process, but his face is so smooth afterwards and always gets the best results! Though there is not necessarily anything negative about this product, he does prefer The Art of Shaving products over the Jack Black.  I think its because the formula for AOS is even thicker, and slight more luxurious.  I find the scents of AOS to smell better too.

I am usually not one to pay a lot of money for things like shaving cream.  However, my husband has very sensitive skin and shaving was not ever fun for him because he would always get irritated skin causing razor bumps.  So, I got this Jack Black Beard Lube Conditioning Shave for him to try it out.  Let me tell you, shaving is now fun for him!  He really enjoys it because this cream does not leave his skin irritated and itchy after shaving.  This cream, along with a good razor, provides smooth skin and a close shave.  He now shaves consistently, making me happy.. so I don't mind paying for this shaving cream because it is a quality product.  It is very comparable to The Art of Shaving shaving cream for my husband's skin.  But, I think that this product is a bit cheaper than The Art of Shaving shaving cream.  If you do some searching on the internet, you can really find some good deals on Jack Black shaving cream.  I give it 5 stars!

I have tried numerous shaving creams from shelf products to high end products. I have found Jack Black shave cream this best so for. It gives me a smooth shave everytime. There is no need for a pre shave oil in my book even though i have tried it with the oil. I believe it is not necessay to do that.
