This SSD sets the benchmark for all others.  If you're still wondering about getting one of these I highly recommend it.  Prices are dropping making them more accessible to the masses.  Have you ever opened a program like Skpe and it takes a while to open?  It opens instantly with this, no seek time, the same is true for a lot of programs like Photoshop or loading screens on games.  I had the chance to do my own comparison against a HDD in HD tune.  It showed some interesting results.  Over a longer period of time the SSD improved its average read speed where the HDD slowly decreased its average.  Its certainly faster in short burst (about twice as fast) and it wins in long distance.  This would be a great way to give an aging system new life, it seems like HDD's only get worse after time.  I have owned my X-25m for about 9 months now and its every bit as fast as the first day I got it.  One final perk is its no longer necessary to defrag my hard drive anymore.
