Finally a pain relieving product that does not make you smell all day long! I have really bad neck and upper back pain and try pretty much everything pain relieving that comes out. So far I really like this Icy Hot. When I first start applying on my neck I still get that same icy feeling followed by the heat. At first this product has the strong scent that I associated with Icy Hot. The best thing about this one though is that the smell goes away! It starts to dissipate after a half hour or so and goes completely away within two hours. I also love that this is a gel, it does not stain my clothes. I also noticed that this product fully absorbs into my skin and does not leave greasy residue all over that ruins my clothes. I usually just use a small amount and my pain does subside and stays manageable for quite a few hours. I would definitely keep buying this and I hope they do not stop making it.

Rub it in where you need it and it goes to work. It heats up and makes your pain go away or at least feel better. We have used it at our house for years and it is our first action against muscle pain. We are always hurting somewhere since we are restoring an old house one room at a time not to mention all the work on the three acres we have along with the house. It is a huge project and it helps that we have icey hot to help us along the way. I don't know really what to say about the product other than it works. You rub it on and it helps the pain go away. It gets hot to rub the pain away I guess. Not sure how it works but I guess it is like a massage when it gets hot. It works and that is all I know to say. I use it after I spend a day outside cutting branches and cutting down dead trees and bushes. I use it after a day of painting. I use it after a day of scrubbing floors and restainging the same floors.

I have always been a huge fan of the Icy Hot brand of products and this version is no exception. Since I have been using this product, I have experienced immediate relief of achy joints, particularly after working out and running for long distances. This product worked very well for me when I picked up a strenuous workout routine, and my body wasn't ready for it. It helps, and it helps for long periods of time throughout the day or night. I have found that using this in conjunction with a heating pad of cold pack works wonders for sore muscles, and gets you ready for the next day. I also found that using this product before a workout is a good solution to experiencing any pain or soreness during your workouts also. It helps in that the soreness is not so pronounced after the workout and into the next day. I would recommend this product for anyone with joint or muscles pain.

I have used the Icy Hot Pain Relieving Cream in the past and was so happy with it's effectiveness and results. The only thing I did not like about that cream was how hard it was to get it off the hands after application. It was when I ran out of this cream and went to purchase the same from the nearby pharmacy store, I came across this Icy Hot Pain Relieving Gel which said "No mess sponge applicator". What else could I have asked for? It had all the goodness of Icy Hot Pain Relieving Cream plus the mess free applicator. It is super easy to use. Squeeze the desired amount of gel on the area in pain and massage throughout with the sponge-top applicator, till it gets all absorbed. No more messy and smelly hands. And yes, one more thing, it comes with vanishing scent. It makes me so comfortable to use it any time of the day, I even re-apply it at times without the fear of smelling like a bottle of balm. This product deserves all the praise.

Icy Hot is something I keep in our bathroom medicine cabinet at all times. I do find the Pain Relieving Gel to be less messy than the creams. When you have a sore muscle, an achy back, or minor arthritis pain, you can reach for many different things. I personally would rather reach for Icy Hot than reach for a bottle of pills. While Oral Pain Medication does have it's place, nothing is faster than Icy Hot Gel. It glides on just where you need it and right away starts easing away any of your aches and pain. It is safe to use on almost any part of your body, avoiding your eyes and mucous membranes of course, and it will start to work immediately. Sure the smell can turn some people off, but personally I enjoy that wintergreen scent and find comfort in it. I have even used Icy Hot Gel on my back during cold season when my breathing is compromised. I do recommend applying it with a clean sock or a rag to avoid accidentally rubbing it in your eyes.

As a person who suffers from various aches and pains that tend to occur in your 60's , I have been using this Icy Hot gel for more than a decade . I have some on hand in my medicine cabinet right now as a matter of fact . I suffer from arthritis and this is not what I primarily use this for , but it is great for a stiff neck , muscles aches from hand trimming thick bushes , raking , etc . This is when I run for the Icy Hot when my muscles ache from simple tasks that never bothered me when I was younger but make my muscles scream at this age . IcyHot goes on as a gel and feels very icy cold at first , bringing a bit of a chock to pain receptors and cooling down the aches in just minutes , After about ten minutes , the cold sensation begins to penetrate the muscle and you will feel a pleasant warming sensation that shows the gel is reaching the deep muscle , bringing deep pain relief for at least a half an hour before you may need to reapply . As with many of these gel pain relievers, there is a strong menthol odor which I personally like but people will be aware of the smell if that is a concern to you . For me , it is worth smelling like menthol to be pain free .

The Spanish version of the Icy Hot commercial basically says "get well with the icy-warm feeling. I do not know what this cream is made of but it is worth every penny. The thing is that you DO feel an immediate icy sensation that (I think) triggers your brain to focus on it so that your actual pain shifts in favor of the immediate sensation. Then, (again, I THINK) that as your body acclimatizes to it, the sensation changes and it does feel warm and cozy. Hey, it is all fine and well as long as I do not have cream showing through my clothes, nor do I smell like any kind of medicine. This is why the gel option is by far better than the paster option. If you choose to go with the patches keep in mind that they too have a limit, so you need to re-apply as you go. Overall, for eternal stiff back and shoulders like mine, Icy Hot is part of my personal "army".

I so very much wanted to love this topical gel; alas it falls well short of expectations. I thought it would be an improved version of my grandma's old camphor poultices. It is not! I agree that it does equally warm and chill...if that's possible? The thing is while it may provide relief one would have to be totally anosmic to withstand the horrendous smell! Not to mention the overpowering scent transfers to hair, clothes and bedding. A definite no for me!

I have terrible back pain. I was in a car accident and broke my L5's. I knew there was nothing that could be done. Surgery was not an option. I knew I was going to have to live with pain for the rest of my life. When I got pregnant with my son, my back pain got even worse. I have a very short torso so there was very limited space for my baby to grow. This resulted in severe back pain. I had to get several massage because of the growing knots in my back. I could not afford to be massaged everyday so I needed to look for a cheaper alternative. I began using icy hot. It instantly gave me relief. Don't get me wrong, I still had pain, but I was able to feel relief. It really helped me. The only downfall is it needs to be reapplied quite often. The roll on applicator makes it so easy and it's not messy at all. The odor is strong, but I have bad sinus's so I actually enjoyed the scent because it would help clear up my sinus's. This is a great product, and even though you may not become pain free, you will get relief.

Such an amazing product. I love to use Icy Hot all all my sore muscles, aches and pains. It works great after a long day of yard work. Effectiveness The burning tingle of the icy hot is a great way to end my day. It feels great as I fall asleep at night. Ease of Use The deodorant type applicator makes application so easy. Plus it is convenient that it won't get your hands messy .
