The Hemnes eight drawer dresser we purchased from the Las Vegas IKEA had at least one design flaw. The drawer rails did not line up with the pre-drilled holes the way they should. After visiting the store and being told they couldn't fix it and we should return it, we brought all the parts back and were then told they had made a modification and fixed it after all. Our response was that we had already wasted too much time on a sub-par product, and we received a refund on our credit card. If this is a typical example of their furniture quality IKEA is in serious trouble.

We bought the IKEA Hemnes 8-Drawer Dresser in the white finish for my daughter's nursery and it is exactly what we were looking for. It is affordable but also a great quality product. It has a ton of storage room and an excellent contemporary style that compliments the modern style of her room. The different sizes of drawers make this a versatile dresser. We store smaller items in the top drawers and use some of the large drawers at the bottom for stuffed animal storage. The dresser comes with a safety kit to secure it to the wall - perfect for a little kid's room. The only drawback, as with most IKEA furniture, this dresser takes a while to assemble since it is so large and has so many drawers, but it is worth the time and effort and as always the assembly instructions are easy to follow. Overall, the IKEA Hemnes 8-Drawer Dresser is a great buy for the money and is a well-crafted, stylish addition to any bedroom.

This is a very nice drawer for someone with simple yet complicated taste. I say it is simple because at the heart of it this ikea hemnes drawer is nothing confusing and overall has a very simple layout. It has a separate chambers and you put items in them is nothing confusing about it. I say that it is complicated in that the presentation and the look of the drawer is designed for someone with some sophisticated taste. So It looks sophisticated but it functions in a very simple way that is what I am trying to say. What is also a neat about this drawer is that the bottom two rows have large containers while the top row has smaller individual boxes. This allows you to really sort out your goods and your clothes depending on size. For example you can place your socks in the top row since the sizes fit for that type of space.
