So useful

5

I've been using Peroxide for so long. It can be used for a multitude of different things. I mainly use it to brush my teeth sometimes and pour it on open cuts. It always gets most of the infection out. It's very easy to use, and I've never experienced side effects. I also believe that it is very safe.

Works as an acne remedy

5

I began using this product as an acne treatment as an adult. I had never struggled with acne until my mid-30's and tried various remedies including head-and-shoulders scalp treatment, ice, and tea tree oil. I used this as a spot-treatment only, as using it all over caused irritation and over-drying. Can't beat the price and it seems to be very effective thus far.

It's a perfect teeth whitening ingredient like carbamideperoxide

5

does everyone really want to know the enamel safe in teeth whitening ingredient dentist use that they overcharge for? Watered down 6% hydrogen peroxide (Carbamide Peroxide).Which in most containers in a store is about 3% hydrogen peroxide so just as safe.Hyrdrogen is stronger and faster working than Carbamide Peroxide. If you mix it with baking soda(a constant ingredient in whitening products) you'll have an ideal tooth paste. Also helps with white tongue prombem.

My old-time Canadian friend said 'Whiten teeth THIS way!'

4

*Buggheart*'s try with an ineffective teeth whitening system reminded me of my old-timey, backwoods Canadian neighbor.  Alice drank her tea and coffee then whitened her pearlies the folk-remedy way. With a paste of **3% Hydrogen Peroxide** and ***Baking Soda***.  Yes, it's the same Baking Soda you put in your chocolate chip cookies last week (or whenever). And yes, it's the same **Hydrogen Peroxide Topical Solution U.S.P. ** you may apply to nicks and cuts and other minor owies.*   And, right on the label, you'll notice its use as an "oral rinse".  You just mix it with an equal amount of water, swish it around in the mouth for one minute (longer than *I* can stand) and SPIT IT OUT!  HP dilution can be used up to four times daily. *Not for folks under the age of two!* Alice, however, mixed her **3% Hydrogen Peroxide Solution** *straight* with the ***Baking Soda*** and gently brushed for a minute or so.  Ick!  Gritty and totally ***not*** minty or lemony or cherry-flavored.  *But it worked*.  This homely paste removed those coffee and tea stains and who-knows-what-else shadows on the teeth. If you try this quick whitening formula, be sure and spit it out at any point where your mouth feels sensitive or you have the same kind of burning sensation you might have with an alchohol-based mouthwash. **Three Per Cent Hydrogen Peroxide** is recommended for lots of other stuff, too.  For info on its relief for "drought-stricken plants" and "prevention of root rot" and the recommended formulas, look it up on *www.ehow.com*. And as a final thought, my ex-husband put it in one ear at a time and left it until it felt bubbly.  He was brought up with *this* folk remedy by his Dad.  It's messy, but it does clean ears out if you're desperate. And with that happy thought, you've had my all on the versatile **Hydrogen Peroxide 3%**! # # # # # *Medicos advise other things for small wounds now since HP is said to destroy tissue.    That doesn't stop my dental hygienist from rinsing full strength once a week to keep her teeth clean.  Nor does it stop expensive teeth-whitening products from including it in their ingredients! Best general advice is to never go stronger (it can definitely *burn* tissue at 6% or more) and to consider not using **Hydrogen Peroxide 3%** on a daily basis. Keep **Hydrogen Peroxide 3%** away from kids, just as you would other meds and chemicals.

a miracle in a bottle

5

Hydrogen peroxide is a miracle in a bottle when used correctly. My mother used to put it on her hair in the summer to lighten it. I also randomly use it to highlight certain areas of my hair. After shampooing I rub it in damp hair. And after my hair dries, it becomes a little lighter. The more sunlight i am exposed to the lighter my hair. It turns from dark brown to a medium brown or russett color. I also use hydrogen peroxide for cleaning cuts and on bug stings or spider bites. It also worked wonders for me when my toe nails were discolored. I poured a few cap fulls in a plastic foot pan of soapy water and let me feet doak for about 30 minutes. On the third day my nails were back to normal color. I often use it after washing my face. I dab a little on and it works like an astrigent. Hydrogen Peroxide is good for cleaning teeth and dentures. I swish a little in my mouth after brushing and then rinse it out. And I soak my partial plate overnight in Hydrogen peroxide. And I can see a noticeable difference. I aslo use it on my laundry, whites only as it can caue colors to fade or bleed. As with any chemical product you must use caution.

Hydrogen Peroxide is an Old-Timey Product for Modern Use

5

No matter what brand you buy, you can count on Hydrogen Peroxide. generally available as a 3% solution, it can be used full strength on your skin;the foaming action works to clean cuts and remove bacteria, preventing infection. Combine it with baking soda, and pack it on gums for a few minutes to clean pockets around the teeth.Diluted with water it works as an oral health product. Minor oral sores benefit by treatment with diluted Hydrogen peroxide. It'll whiten your teeth also if used as a rinse diluted 50/50 with water. thre label suggests to use this product orally for only seven days unless advised differently by your doctor or dentist. Do not swallow this product even when diluted with water. Hubby uses it full strength to clean wax build-up from his ears. He used it as a touch-up when he played Santa at the Mall. No-one wants a picture with a Santa with yellow-ey hair and beard. It'll help remove stubborn stains from your laundry, and whiten the whites that have become dingy. Folks have used hydrogen peroxide since before I was born to help with family health, and we still use it today. It has to work to have been on the market as long as it has!

Multi-task with Hydrogen Peroxide

5

Hydrogen peroxide is great for so many reasons. It has so many uses. I read a long time ago that you can mix hydrogen peroxide with baking soda for a teeth whitener. I did try it but it is a bit messy and guess what? It's unnecessary. You can just swish some hydrogen peroxide instead. Read the label first (maybe you are supposed to mix with water) but I just swish it straight and it really works. It only takes a second and removes stains (better than Crest Whitestrips - sorry Crest, still love ya). And the best part - hydrogen peroxide is cheap! Of course it has its uses that everyone already knows about too. It is great to have on hand for cuts and such. I also like to use it for cleaning. And in this case, I do add baking soda. Just make a paste-like cosnistency with the two ingredients and wash away. It works great on garbage pals, or what I like to use it on - my cat litter box and cat mat outside of the box. I am not worried about it being toxic for my cats and it works amazing. No smells after! Recently a coworker told me she sometimes gargles with water/hydrogen peroxide combo when she is sick (sore throat). I guess it works!?

Hydrogen Peroxide is a fantastic multipurpose product!

5

I have always Hydrogen Peroxide to clean cuts and minor wounds. I still use Hydrogen Peroxide for that purpose. However, this product can be used in many ways. When you want to freshen your breath, just use one capful and hold in your mouth for several minutes. Do this while in the shower. Do not swallow. Spit it out when finished. I use a mixture of 50% water to 50% Hydrogen Peroxide to clean my eyeglasses. It doesn't streak and works as well as any other product. I also use that same mixture to clean kitchen counters. It removes all the germs and leaves the counter shining. It's wonderful. Hydrogen Peroxide has endless possibilities. I highly recommend using Hydrogen Peroxide.
