I don't know if I just have a different taste than other people, but I think that these donuts are gross. I like an actual donut taste and not a waxy and bland one. I will say that they are a good size and kids seem to eat them up. My husband loves these. I know that he had them as a kid and they bring back childhood memories. He likes to dip them in coffee and could eat a whole bag if I let him. The bags can be resealed, which is nice. I just can't get into the taste of them. The chocolate coating on the outside does not taste like chocolate frosting to me. It has a weird waxy texture and leaves an after taste in your mouth. I don't care for the donut part inside either. There really isn't anything special about it. If I'm going to use my calories for the day on a treat it would definitely not be these! Plus they are just full of ingredients that aren't good for you. They aren't easy ingredients to understand. I am for being able to understand what is actually in my food. I won't be buying these again. At least not for myself.

Hostess Frosted Donettes was always my favorite "on-the-road" breakfast when I was a kid. I tried the chocolate frosted variety recently, and I can't say that they are a current favorite for me anymore. The good is that they still have a fun bite size, so kids will like them and think they are "cute". The biggest downsides were that the frosting was very waxy and made my teeth feel gross. Also, the inside of the donettes was fairly dry, and I kept cough after they went down the wrong pipe. I may have just had a bad bag, but I'm hesitant to give them another shot.

They have a good chocolate coating that mixes well with the doughy center, but there are many more snack options that have these beat. This is a great craving reliever, but probably not worth as a staple crop in your snacking regime.

Hostess Frosted Donettes are so delicious! We don't buy them often but when do everyone gets excited. They're great for a quick breakfast or treat when camping or traveling. The firm yet creamy "frosting" (which is really more like a chocolate coating or shell) combines nicely with the spongy mini cake doughnut inside. A real treat!

I buy these donuts all the time. Sometimes I eat them for breakfast or sometimes for a snack. My daughters love them too! I prefer these over other brands because they are the cheapest and they taste better then the more expensive ones. These only last about 2 days in my house, if that.

My family LOVES Hostess donettes. They are yellow cake donuts that are completely covered in savory chocolate frosting. Even though the donut is somewhat dry, it melts in your mouth, thanks to the soft & delicious frosting. They are very addicting so you may want to buy a couple of bags!
