We live in an apartment with an infant and two huskies, and if you know anything about huskies, they shed a lot! But with this vacuum, we have no issue. The hair is up instantly on the carpet and hardwood. I love that I don't have to use bags and I can empty the container as needed, which always looks like I could make a doggy rug when I'm finished. Ease of Maintenance We haven't had any issues so far. We've had ours about 6 months. Design Not very bulky for as much power as this vacuum has. Also pretty light weight.

When I broke my Shark vacuum that I had for about 5 years (I never read the directions and when cleaning out the cylinder, I was always hitting it to get it to fit in correctly, not Shark's fault, mine...I broke the front of where the dirt was held...the vacuum still worked, but decided I should buy a new one...I then looked at the directions and saw I was replacing the cylinder wrong...lesson learned) I decided to get a new one. I actually wanted one similar, but my husband had been out and saw the "rewind" on this Hoover WindTunnel Plus Cyclonic Bagless Vacuum and thought how great it would be not to trip over a cord I did not wrap around the cord holder. I let my husband choose which vacuum as he seemed to really want an input in it, well he chose the Hoover WindTunnel Plus Cyclonic Rewind Bag-less Vacuum. I ordered it online and it was delivered to the house free of charge. When the delivery man brought it to the front door he told me he had NEVER lifted anything so heavy. I would soon find out what he meant. It weighed a ton and as some rooms go from carpet to hard wood flooring, it had to be lifted and carried as it scratched the hard wood, it also hurt my back. It was very heavy, cumbersome and not easy to navigate on the floor. On the plus side, the Hoover WindTunnel Plus Cyclonic Rewind Bag-less Vacuum did a very good job of picking up dirt. But in a similar problem it was hard to get the dirt cylinder back in place when emptying it, which was often as it only needed a little dirt to not work as good. Another problem I had with it is that if it picked up anything too large, it would get lodged in it and I would have to take the bottom off to remove whatever small item was lodged there, this was frequent...and when I say large, I am really talking something pretty small. I was constantly removing the bottom as it always has small particles built up in an area that could not be reached. About the only good thing I can say about the Hoover WindTunnel Plus Cyclonic Rewind Bag-less Vacuum is that the attachments work well when using them on furniture...but it was not worth all the trouble. It finally got a broken hose where the upper part meets the bottom, not just broken, but split completely off. This time around I went to the store and felt each vacuum for how easy it would be to pick up, etc. I am much happier with my new Eureka that I will review soon. I just wanted to get my review in on this vacuum, as it was expensive and is a piece of junk! Maneuverability Heavy Ease of Maintenance Small items such as an M & M will clog up the whole vacuum. Suction Performance Depending on if using on floor...that would get poor to satisfactory. As for using on furniture I would say very good. Versatility Cannot be used on hard floors without scratching...even to roll into the next room, it must be picked up and moved. Design The cord rewind is nice, but does not always work the first time. Durability I did not have it long till the hose broke completely.

We got this vacuum because we needed a nice quality vacuum, at an affordable price, that would pick up the dirt found in everyday household use. From the beginning, we have found that this vacuum has done a wonderful job, even beyond what we hoped for. It has not only great suction for picking things up, but after it does it's job, it also leaves the room smelling fresh, so that it not only looks like it is clean, but also smells and feels clean. It comes woth a few extra attachments to be able to use for getting into tight corners, and also an extra attachment for vacuuming up your furniture or stairs, which means that it is convenient to use for every floor or surface you need to vacuum. It also comes with an automatic retractable cord. This is nice because, unlike most vacuums where after you are finished vacuuming, you have to take the cord and wind it up manually, this one does it on its own just by you pressing the button. I definitely recommend this vacuum.

I had this vacuum for about it year. Worked wonders the first couple of months, but then started going bad. Broke a few belts, then at one point it just stopped sucking up the dirt. This vacuum was a big mistake.

I got a new vacuum. It's a Hoover Remanufactured U57809RM WindTunnel Cyclonic Upright Vacuum, Bagless in silver. I got it from Santa who got it at Ocean State Job Lots for a very good price. Like everything I have is old and is starting to break my Kenmore Vacuum was on it's way out. I had it a very long time. I have a very small apartment and the canister did not do well. It would catch on everything. The vacuum was litterly falling apart. Wheels and all. So santa found me a new one. Well remanufactured new one. I love the cool color of silver. The cord return works great. The suction is awesome. I have a dog and a cat. I had just vacuumed the floor and then went over it with my new vacuum. The Hoover Wind Tunnel Cyclonic 12 Amp Vacuum makes cleaning a breeze.  This model has a convenient cord rewind.  This model has 3 positions, upright, and 2 lower positions for getting under tables and other furniture.  I have an Australian Shepherd, and they have alot of hair.   That hair is no match for the Hoover Wind Tunnel.  The dirt cup really fills up rather quickly, but it is easy enough to remove and empty.  There are several attachments which make reaching higher places or small spaces easier.  The brush roll can be turned on and off by using your foot on the convenient button on the front of the vacuum.  This is a definite plus for anyone with hard wood floor surfaces.    There is a small brush roll which attaches to the hoses.  This small brush roll makes cleaning furniture simple.  In addition to pet hair, my children can make some messes on the furniture as well.  The small brush roll takes care of it.

This vacuum is great! It picks up dog hair so easily. i have two dogs who shed like crazy and no matter how many times a week i vacuum, the canister is always full. the stair tool is great too especially with the hose and extention tools. the canister part is great so it saves the money on bags. There is no messy cleanup like other canisters, just press the tab and the bottom opens. I like that the canister part can also be taken apart so it could be washed. the only problem that i have with it, is that it is a little heavy. I only have 1 set of stairs so it isn't a really big deal for as well as it works. The power cord is stored within the vacuum and when i am finished, i just press a button and the cord retracts on its own.

The Hoover Windtunnel  plus Cyclonic vaccum belt broke the first time I used it.  I don't like the clean it does, I have to go back over spots.  I am not at all satisfied with this vaccum.  They replaced the belt for me without problem, but I can't believe I had to worry about the belt braking already.

I have a boxer puppy and short haired cat. This vacuum is so convenient for me and my boyfriend. My mom bought it for us because it was advertised at a low price. It is very durable and has surprised me time after time when I've had to complete household chores. My boyfriend is a bit of a neat freak and my pets make messes numerous times a day all over the house.

We finally had gotten to the point where we had enough money to buy a new vacuum.  I was so excited!  Having babies crawling around on the floor makes me extra aware of all the yuck that needs to be sucked up. I looked around for a several weeks keeping an eye on prices and researching good vacuums at a good price.  A Dyson is what I would have loved to get, but it's just too much of an investment at this point.  So, I wanted a vacuum that I could trust to do a good job, but wouldn't cost as much.  One day this vacuum was on sale at Target.   I had read that it was a pretty good machine and at the time it was a great price and so I went for it. In the beginning it was such a great vacuum!  I used it everywhere from the van to the baseboards to the kitchen floor to regular old vacuuming the house.  It worked wonderfully and I couldn't have been more happy with my purchase. However, about 6 months into our journey the vacuum started to lose it's powerful suction.  It was still vacuuming, but just not as well.  A few months after that the brush stopped rotating.  Currently, I have to put the setting on high pile carpet just so the brush will rotate in order to vacuum my berber.  A few weeks ago the automatic cord recoil stopped working, so now when I vacuum the cord keeps retracting and I have to keep pulling is out as I go along. The attachments are wonderful and when I use the tube attachment it still works great.  I use it almost daily to vacuum in the corners of the kitchen and it does it's job well.  But, overall, this vacuum just won't make it for the long haul.  I'm going to have to buy a new one soon because it's just not cleaning the living room and bedrooms sufficiently.  Now, I wish that I had just taken the plunge on a Dyson.  At this point having to buy two Hoovers, I will have paid the price for one Dyson.
