I only used Hoovers Competitor for my carpet cleaning needs until I decided to make a change. Hoover versus other brands, Hoover is my top pick! I assumed all carpet shampooers worked the same but quickly found out that Hoover performs better than expected. First off I really like the set up of how there's a place to put clean water, and the dirty water is in a completely separate container. Very simple to fill and empty. There's a wash and rinse option, the rinsing options reassures me that I've cleaned my carpets well leaving very few chemicals behind. The brushes on this shampooer gets down pretty deep in the carpet, releasing stains, even tough old stains. I love the attachments for this Hoover, I'm able to clean furniture, inside my vehicle, even the carpet on the stairs. I highly recommend making the Dutch I'm sure glad I did.

This is truly an excellent option for carpet cleaning versus paying to have the service performed. I have 2 dogs and my dining room carpet had some pet stains that I just could not get out. Well, this Hoover SteamVac removed the stains!!!!! As other reviewers said, it doesn't actually steam the carpet, but just be sure to put super hot water in the tank and it works great!! I used Hoover carpet cleaner, the one for pet stains and odors and it was fantastic. Very nice light scent and the carpeting dried quickly (it was a nice 65 degree day so I opened my 1st floor windows.) I cleaned my living and dining room and will do my upstairs hallway and 3 bedrooms next. I would highly recommend this carpet cleaner. Also, when using, it's not too heavy. It is a bit cumbersome to carry up and down stairs.

This cleaner is easy to use, cleans hard floors very well, and drys floor quickly. Works well on wood, linoleum and /or tile floors. I bought it because it picks up the dirty water quite easily rather than just spreading it around when you use a mop. It also has a long cord.

This item is great for shampooing your carpets. It has a brush underside that really brings the dirt up from the fibers, as you can see when you empty the container. Once you've cleaned your carpet, it sucks all the water out of it and leaves a fresh scent when the carpet is fully dry. It doesn't steam, so get your water as hot as your carpet fibers will stand. I've bought and used Hoover products for years and is very pleased with this Steam cleaner. Maneuverability Very easy to maneuver across the carpet. No hard or heavy pushing required. Ease of Maintenance Kind of hard to remove the carpet fibers from the bottom of the clear cover. Of course, it comes with a slender, flexible tool that you use to help get to the fibers at the top. Suction Performance Great suction performance. Carpet is 98% dry after you've finished shampooing. Versatility This product is very versatile. I've used it to suction water from my bedroom carpet after the drain tube from my heat pump clogged and water leaked under the baseboards. I've also used it on my kitchen tile to suction up water from a broken elbow pipe under the sink.

Maneuverability The Hoover SteamVac Deluxe Carpet Cleaner is okay going forwards and backwards, but it does not swivel or move side to side very well. Ease of Maintenance All of the parts are easy to take apart and are all easily rinsed in the kitchen sink. Suction Performance My Hoover SteamVac Deluxe Carpet Cleaner sucks the dirt from deep down in the carpet. Amazed at how well it works. Design The Hoover is designed like most carpet shampooers. It has a container for the cleaner and one for the dirty water. A very nice simply designed carpet cleaner. Durability The Hoover SteamVac Deluxe Carpet Cleaner is very durable. Many of my friends have borrowed it and use it. It has never broken or let me or them down. I personally think this shampooer is the best.

This is a three in one cleaner-vacumn that washes and cleans hard floors. It does a super job on my ceramic tile floor. and does not scratch or damage the tiles. The counter rotating brushes are gentle and scrub from all angles. Does a great job on larger areas and the floors are completely dry when you finish. The machine is a little challenging when working in a smaller area. It works as a vacumn first then dries the floor so you don't have puddles and you can really deep clean those tile and hardwood floors. It does such a awesome job that I overlook some of the inconveniences. You have to switch to different pads depending on what you are doing and It took me some time to figure out how to put the machine together. The pads are easily cleaned just by dropping them in the washing machine however I let them air dry. The machine is just one more thing to store but with all that said, I still recommend it especially if you have hardwood floors. Any inconvenience is overlooked with the quality of this product.

I had the pleasure of trying this beauty of a cleaning machine. This is a multiple functional machine with three different settings. First you can use a vacuum to suction up the dirt on your floors. You next can use the wash setting to clean your floors. Lastly, there is a dry setting to help speed up the drying process. I do not use the third setting because there is no need to waste electricity since everything dries up so much quickly. It's very amazing to see the amount of dirt that is present on your floors. The water that you clean with turns completely black after wards, so it's pretty amazing how powerful this machine is for cleaning. The only issue that I have with this machine is that it is quite expensive. But it does work great and you do not have to purchase additional refills for your cleaning, unlike swiffer based products. This machine works pretty well and it does not leave any film or streaking after use. I highly recommend this product.

We have approximately 1300 sq. ft. of ceramic tile so using the old mop and bucket is pretty hard on my back at my age. I rarely use the vacuum or dry function but I use the wash function (which also suctions) all the time. I also like the fact that I can use my own lemon, pine, etc. detergent-it doesn't have to be Hoover brand cleaner.

This is one of the greatest investments a person can make. Professional steamcleaning can be costly. For anyone with kids or pets this SteamVac will get used more than you would think. Recently, my son was sick and threw up ALL OVER the carpet. It was pretty horrible. After doing some initial cleaning we busted out our Hoover SteamVac and the carpet was like new! We have also used it to clean cat and dog nastiness. It does a good job of removing stains as well as odors. The only drawback is that it takes up a lot of space. Not really ideal if you live in a small place or apartment. It will not take the place of your regular vacuum.

I purchased this Hoover to clean our tile floors. So far, I am duely impressed. Its so nice to have the two tanks--one cleaning solution and the other for the dirty water, so the dirty water does NOT get back on the floor. I have tried several other options to clean the tile, but this Hoover does the job!! I have only used it a couple of times, so there will be more to follow. I am anxious to try vinegar and water in the cleaning solution tank to see how that fares. The cleaning solution that came with it leaves our home smelling so clean and fresh! I would definately purchase this again, and highly recommend this to anyone that has tile and any other hard surface floor to clean!
