We live in an apartment with two dogs and this air purifier is without a doubt a lifesaver. The Honeywell helps keep the pet odor under control, requires almost no maintenance, and isn't so loud that it drives you nuts. I no longer feel like I'm entering the Pound when I come home from work.

This inepensive air purifier does a nice job. I bought this to use in my guest room, because I have cats and some of my overnight guests have mild cat allergies. I found that the air purifier worked to keep the room (12x10 feet) clear of cat dander. I like the small size and look of the unit and the controls are easy to use. The filter is easy to change/clean and it has a filter light to remind you to check it. You can hear it when it is running, especially on the higher settings. If you are trying to watch TV or listen to music at the same time that's an issue. But for just sleeping the noise is almost like a white noise that you stop noticing. I plan to buy another for our basement room.

The Honeywell HHT-011 HepaClean with permanent filter air purifier works great. It is very simple to set up and use, just remove the plastic from the unit and the filter, plug it in, and turn it on. There are three levels to choose from based on your needs, 1 and 2 are pretty quiet, 3 is a bit more noticeable but not enough to be annoying. This unit comes with 3 stages of cleaning, the permanent washable pre-filter to catch larger particles and extend the life of the HEPA filter, the permanent HEPA filter that you can either clean with a vacuum (I recommend doing this outside) or replace with a disposable filter (takes the same ones as the 16200 Desktop model), and the optional ionizer. I am not a big fan of the ionizer idea, seems a bit iffy to me, plus the fact that it has been linked to asthma symptoms means I will not be taking advantage of this function - but then it is optional, so all I have to do it leave that switch off. Ease of Maintenance The unit is easy to keep clean, when you want to clean the pre-filter just shut the unit off, remove the face plate pull out the pre-filter and rinse it off in the sink, once its dry you are ready to put it back in and turn it back on. The Permanent Hepa filter has not needed to be cleaned since I bought the unit in June, and I have had it on level 3 almost non-stop for nearly 3 months (with a long hair cat in a dusty old building) But if you choose to replace and not clean the filter you can buy the one that fits the Honeywell 16200 model since they are the same size. Dust/Allergen Removal In my one bedroom apartment I have had the unit on level 2-3 for 3 days now and there is a noticeable difference in the air quality, but it is more obvious in the room with the unit. Also, my cat who has a chronic upper respiratory infection and seasonal allergies is breathing much better now, I wish I had purchased this sooner and I am considering buying another for the other room! Filter Availability I found both the permanent and disposable filters at my local walmart - or you can buy them on amazon. Durability NO complaints here! Effectiveness Great! This little guy has a huge impact on the air quality in my apartment, very noticeable when you walk in. Design Again, no complaints! Looks nice enough, fits where I need it and doesn't take up too much space.

I live in the Pacific Northwest and so mold is pretty much always around (even if you can't see it, it's in the air) and lots of people have respiratory issues because of it. I also have a dog, so there is pet dander in the air, too. I wanted a small air filter for my bedroom and I got this one for a good price. I wanted one that was relatively small and had a permanent filter (I wouldn't want to pay regularly for new filters--I can't afford that). This one is easy to use and pretty self-explanatory. It's pretty easy to clean, as well (you will need a vacuum). It's nice that it has both a HEPA filter and a foam pre-filter, so if you clean the pre-filter pretty regularly, you don't need to clean the HEPA filter as often. The only thing I don't like about it is after a few months the filter change reminder light came on (even though I cleaned it regularly), and I can't figure out how to get it to turn off--I have searched online with no luck, and I don't have the owner's manual anymore. I like that it makes noise because I sleep better with "white noise."

I purchased the Honeywell HHT-0011 Compact Air Purifier with Permanent HEPA Filter over a year ago and I LOVE it! It was strongly encouraged for us to purchase due to my kids environmental allergies which are hard to handle at times. Our pediatrician specifically told us to look into the Honeywell brand since that is what most his patients use for allergies.We have noticed that it did help my kids allergies tremendously. I like that it has different speed levels at which the air pushes out and and it's not terribly loud. I like that it has a soothing sound for my 2 year old son to be able to fall asleep at night with it being on. The price was very good for the amount of space it can purify the air. I totally recommend it and hope this review was helpful to anyone looking into a good air purifier without the expensive price tag.

The Honeywell compact air purifier has really changed the way I breathe since I put it in my house. The air purifier is small but it really does a good job at filtering air. I having main running all day usually and it's never gave me a problem. It has a HEPA filter which helps to catch the really small particles in the air. It has multiple speeds that you can pick from and it's relatively quiet on each one. I have it in my bed room and it doesn't bother me while I'm sleeping. The filters are reusable and only take a minute a clean it and put it back in the machine. It's hard to forget to clean the filter because it has a button that will light up so you remember it needs cleaned which I like because I'm always forgetting to clean it. I honestly love this little air purifier because it's done wonders for me.

I got this air purifier because I had a cough due to mold and other allergens I was unable to completely eradicate in my very old home. It works wonderfully. I no longer cough much at all and I find my breathing, particularly at night, to be much easier. The set up on this product is quite easy. All you do is remove the front cover and install the filter. Plug it in, and you're set. The only "drawback" I've found to this product is that the fan is quite powerful, so it's a little noisy. I often have to leave my bedroom if I want to properly hear someone talking to me on the telephone and I have to turn the volume of the TV up a little louder to be heard over the fan. But it's worth it to breathe easier. This product does the work of other much more expensive products at a reasonable price. I'd definitely buy one again if needed.

One thing I can not stand is dust. Yes, I realize that dust is everywhere and is never completely gone but when you CAN see the accumulation of dust- I get itchy and have a hard time breathing comfortably- probably more of a mental thing. I was worse when I was pregnant- constantly cleaning and dusting. So of course, I researched like a obsessed germaphobe as to what is the ideal air puriifier in terms of filters, ease of use, and of course effectiveness! I ended up purchasing two air purifiers. The Honeywell Compact w Permanent HEPA filter for the baby's room and one large one for the remainder of the house. I recieved a really expensive Japanese air purifier as a gift for our bedroom and I have to say the Honeywell Compact unit works JUST AS WELL. There is overall less dust accumulation and the air just feels "fresher". The great thing about this unit is that you don't have to purchase replacement filters. You just clean and re-use the permanent HEPA filter which the indicator light shows when it needs to be cleaned. The japanese air purifier I have in our bedroom is really quiet compared to this unit- but the filters are extremely expensive and must be replaced. The only negative thing I have to say about this unit, is that it's a little more noisy than I expected- but in terms of function and effectiveness it is a GREAT BUY and I have had no problems with it whatsoever.

The Honeywell HHT-011 Compact Air Purifier with Permanent HEPA Filter works well. I bought this product because of dusty problems and having trouble with a runny nose all winter long. I didn't have a cold but it was because of the dust I believe. I liked the design of the Honeywell air purifier and the price was great too. I set it up in the bedroom because I wanted it to purify the air when sleeping. I think this product works well. It is not great but then I didn't pay that much for it. I am sure the pricier ones work better. This is just what I needed though and I didn't want to spend a whole lot of money. I like the fact that it has a permanent HEPA filter that you just vacuum off. This will also come in handy for when my sons allergies start in the spring. It has three speeds and cleans up well. Although it is a little loud it is not overbearing. This product filled my need and I am happy with the purchase.

Honeywell Compact Air Purifier works pretty good. The product is very compact, but still moves quite a bit of air on the higher fan speeds.Cleans well. Great for allergy sufferers. Compact. Filers are re-usable. It has a filter change reminder so you know when to change the filter--that is nice so your not just guessing when you last change the filter. One downside is the noise. When on the highest speed, tends to be loud. has hepa filtration, and it is a permanent filter also. No need for replacement. It is small so would be good for a dorm room, child's small room, sewing/office room. I will be looking at getting a honeywell for our living room. Will need a bigger one for that room. I do like the honewell brand from what i've reviewed. Also has an ionizing option. You need to remember to clean the filters regularly also for the best performance. The Honeywell is very small and compact. This allows for easy storeage and placement within the home. The Honeywell sits horizontally rather than vertically. This is a disadvantage because it sits to low to the ground to cover the upper half of the room. To clean the lower and upper half of the room the Honeywell must be sit on a chair in the middle of the room.
