My kitchen is rather small for such a larger home space and it is where we usually congregate. My boyfriend and both enjoy eating meals at the table and enjoying our kitchen when reading, doing homework, or enjoying internet. The kitchen is the hot spot in the house because all three walls have a large window that allows light inside. We originally had planned on buying a kitchen table but after seeing this on sale, we knew we had to get it. I am in love with it. The island has shelves all the way around it as well as drawers and cabinets underneath it for ultimate storage. We can store our books, kindles, laptops, and other items on the island along with our favorite kitchen items. The island didn't come with chairs so we purchased ours separately. It was only a minor inconvenience buying chairs separately. The white color looked nice but I actually painted ours a sky blue color so that it fit in with the decor of our kitchen. It looks nice and we use it daily for eating and a small work space. The island is big enough that we can eat and work comfortably but small enough so that it still seems quaint and keeps us close.

I just love the design and look of this product from Home Styles. I must applaud them for making this product giving it a beautiful finish and the corners as well are rounded so that they do not hurt and the compartments are spacious and classy. The product has been given a vintage look which makes it look trendy and fashionable. It is a treat for me to clean the table and place the glass and bottles inside these compartments. However, it is really tough to clean the drawers and the shelves as dust collects easily inside the knobs and since the material is wooden, I fear that the termites might harm the product as it happened with the earlier product as well. Besides this fact, I love the stools as well that come with it and I had purchased 2 more along with this product for a family of 4 people. Although it is small, I feel that it is the best and the price as well is less than other products.

Since the addition of our Home Styles Kitchen Island with Two Stools, we have had countless friends ask us who we hired to redesign our kitchen. They are always surprised to find out that all we did was pick up a mass produced island from Home Styles and add it to our current kitchen redesign. I love how Home Styles has created a kitchen island with a breakfast bar where I am able to feed the kids an afternoon snack in the kitchen while I am working on dinner. The stools that come as a part of the Home Styles Kitchen Island are sturdy and built out of quality materials. Assembly was extremely easy and all the pieces were there and instructions were not complicated. The cabinets below the island are extremely large and spacious. The addition of the oversized cabinets of the Home Styles island has allowed me to add a ton of cabinet space in the kitchen making it feel less crowded.

A fix it upper house turned out to be more of a challenge than we bargained for and it soon became evident that it was going to take longer than we anticipated. The kitchen got put on hold and we soon decided that standing up to eat just wasn't going to work. We decided to buy a kitchen island that would serve as a work table and ideally would have a couple of stools to go with it. We wanted it to be something that we could use in the family room or the new 'man cave." A search on the net found Home Styles 5002-948 Kitchen Island. This island just what we were looking for. It has a drop leaf that raises that can used as a eating or serving space. It was available in three different finishes and the hardwood oak top makes it easy to clean up. The open shelves will be perfect for storage later but for now it makes fining things like the salt and pepper easier. Two drawer will be perfect to store wine openers etc . The cabinet has two doors covering the shelves and will work for glasses and such in the "man cave" We did have to put it together and to our surprise wasn't all that difficult. This kitchen island would serve well in a small kitchen or can do double duty in other rooms.

This looks so good in the kitchen. Even if the top of this Home Styles Kitchen Island with Two Stools is not the same as the rest of your counter tops, it will still be able to stand out as a statement piece. And a functional statement piece at that, so you really can't lose. And if you happen to have the same counter tops as this, then it all blends in and looks like it belongs there. So it's a win/win as far as I'm concerned. I love that this comes with the bar stools, so you don't have to worry about finding matching seats. All the shelves in this are adjustable, both inside the cupboard part and on the ends. The only thing I wish could be changed on this is the ends are open, with no little doors or sliding pieces, which means for now I can't have anything on those shelves because I have young children that will take everything off of them faster than you can blink. Other than that I really like this.
