I bought this clock for my husband as a gift and because I sleep in the same room as him it was pretty much for me as well. It sounded great on the package. I soon found out that it wasn't as great as I had thought. I like my room dark at night. I can't sleep very well if there is a night light, book light or anything. The clock time that projected on the ceiling was too bright for me. It ended up being brighter than a night light would have been and that was even on the lowest setting. I tried it for a week and it annoyed me so much and kept me from getting a good night's rest. The nature sounds on the clock were relaxing. I liked that there were a variety to choose from, but I didn't find that the sounds helped me in any way. I need a loud alarm to wake me up. I felt like I was paying extra for a setting that I didn't need. There is an alarm and radio on it though. All in all it wasn't worth the extra money to buy this clock. I wasn't a fan of this product!

My alarm clock has been acting up and I've been in need of a new one, so when I was shopping a few weeks ago and happened upon the **SoundSpa Clock Radio with Time Projection, **I had to buy it.  It looked good, I liked the idea of it projecting the time on my ceiling or wall, and I really like the idea of having six nature sounds to listen to or wake up by. In general I really like this clock.  It's nice and flat so it doesn't fall over or get knocked over easily or at all.  It takes up kind of a large footprint but it's not horrible.  I also really like the six nature sounds that I can wake up to or just listen to constantly or for a set amount of time. Every night I fall asleep to Summer night which is crickets and light night sounds and every morning I wake up to the same soothing sound. I thought I'd really like the projection feature but I honestly don't use it much as it kind of lights up the room. Which leads me to the reason I'm giving this clock only 4 out of 5 stars.  The light display.  It is super bright. Like the brightest clock display I've ever seen.  If I didn't like the nature sounds so much I'd totally take it back as the lights are so bright you could use them to land an F/A-18 on the deck of an aircraft carrier in the middle of the ocean using only the light from this clock.  It's seriously bright.  So using the projection just adds more light to an already too bright room.  I like to sleep in total darkness like a vampire so the light from this clock is a big disappointment. Other than that, I really like the design and features and recommend it.

I bought this clock originally for my husband.  He cannot seem to fall asleep without some kind of white noise going.  When the ceiling fan and huge fan in our room finally froze me and kept me from sleeping, I knew something needed to change!  So I began my search for some kind of white noise so we could both be happy.  I stumbled upon this clock at Bed Bath and Beyond.  I loved the fact that it had Nature settings so my husband could fall asleep and hopefully stay asleep.  From Ocean, Summer Night, Rain, Rain Forrest, Thunder and Waterful, I felt he would have a wide range to choose from and we could finally give all the fans a rest.  The added plus for me was the projection time that really helps enlarge the time and can be viewed on the wall or the ceiling!  Finally, I could wake up at night and be able to see what time it was!  The clock was so easy to set up, I did it myself!!!  That in itself is an amazing feat!  I thought I would surprise my husband so I remeoved the fan from the room and proudly displayed the clock on his side of the bed.  Unfortunately, he was not as happy with the spa sounds as I was and the fan returned back to our room the next day.   I am happy to report that the clock stayed!  It is now on my side of the bed and I really enjoy the spa sounds, even if my better half does not!  I am very pleased with everything about this clock!  I just wish it had a really loud fan noise for my husband!  Ha Ha!

I bought thie HoMedics SoundSpa Clock Radio alarm clock a few years ago. Not because I necessarily needed a new clock, but because I wanted something that offered nautre sounds. I wanted the sounds to lul me to sleep, but did not want to use them as my wake up alarm. This clock did the trick, and it did it for a great price! An added bonus of the clock, is that you have the ability to select your alarm, and the noise you want to wake up to, and also set the volume and how loud you want it to be. It is a great added feature! Another added bonus-if you have a baby sleeping in your room, you do not need to buy the HoMedics Soothing Sound Machine (although I also recommend that!), because all the sounds are in this machine! Great clock, great price!

First off the price of this clock radio is awesome. As a person who needs something cheap and reliable, this is the way to go! IT also has alarm nature sounds or the radio to wake you up because I don't like rude awakenings in the morning. I like the backup battery feature because it ensures that you will be woken up if something wrong happens. It is really cool how the time is displayed and it makes it really easy to read. On another good note, the radio gets pretty good reception. I can dial in on all the channels and get good quality. The radio might be a bit bulky for some people. Sometime it is too bright for a dark room. I suggest that you try looking at it in the store before you buy it. Especially if you need a small one and something that fits your style, you need to take a look at it before you get it. Another annoying thing is that there is no radio tuning display, you just have to go by feel.

The first HoMedics SoundSpa Clock Radio that I purchased did not work, so I had to drive back to the store and exchange it for another one. This is the only reason why I gave it four stars rather than five. Other than that, I have been extremely pleased with the HoMedics SoundSpa Clock Radio. I am a very heavy sleeper, and this clock radio is just loud enough to wake me up everytime, but not too loud to the point where I want to smash it. The display is very easy to read in the dark, yet not too bright. The footprint is small enough to where it won't take up a large part of your nightstand. The speaker quality is better than I expected, although it won't be replacing my bookshelf speakers anytime soon. I have a friend who has a slightly different model and his has been working flawlessly for about 4 years now, so I have high hopes that the HoMedics SoundSpa Clock Radio will be just as durable and reliable, especially considering it is a newer model. All in all, a fantastic radio for a fantastic price. This would be a great gift for any occasion or a great addition to any bedroom and office.

I purchased the Homedics SoundSpa clock for the nature sounds that it had. I listened to the sounds on the display model before purchasing and do find that the nature sounds are soothing; however, I hated this clock and have already switched back to my old one. The light display is incredibly bright even on the lowest setting. I used kleenex to cover it while I slept and even then the blueish hue still leaked through. The buzzer for the alarm is also incredibly low and steadily increases the longer it is left on. I was never able to figure out the sleep setting. On every other clock I've owned you press sleep and in 9 min the alarm goes off again. Not this clock. I never was able to figure it out precisely but it seems that the sleep setting would increase each time you pressed the sleep button and sometimes it would shut the clock off completely so the alarm would never go off again! This feature made me late several times.

I have had this HoMedics clock for about 2 years now, and we love it!  I could not live without the time on our bedrooom ceiling!  It is so great, if you are use to having a clock on a nightstand and have to strain to see the time in the morning (or middle of the night) this is a most have.  The time shines directly above our bed on the ceiling in a nice blue tone, and large enough to see and read.  I honestly can not imagine living without this now!  The soundspa is also used by us every night.  There are six choices to choose from, but we keep it on thunderstorm every night - it really somewhat sounds like a thunderstorm and drowns out all the noises from outside (another thing I couldn't live without).  This is a must have, and I am telling you that once you have the time where it is visible without having to move in the middle of the night to see it, you too will understand.  I will never purchase a regular clock again.  Also, the alarm is loud and you can certainly hear it over the "thunderstorm".  If you are thinking about purchasing this, please do it!!  You will love the time being reflected on the ceiling above your head!

I used to live in an apartment that was about 3 feet from the street at a five-way stop.  "Quiet" was not a familiar concept, so my best friend gave me the **HoMedics SoundSpa Clock Radio with Time Projection **for Christmas to help block out the noise...making me less cranky!  This clock/sound machine/time projector has a ton of features! **About the product:  **Shaped something like a UFO, this clock radio/sound machine has an alarm clock with three different sound options:  a beeper, radio, or one of the nature sounds to wake you up.  A wide snooze bar is on the front of the clock's LCD screen.  The radio dial tunes to both AM and FM stations.  The time display on the clock or on the projector is soothing bright blue.  If you just want to use the nature sounds, they can be played for 15, 30, or 60 minute intervals on the timer, or just left on until you turn the power off.  Six sounds are available: thunder, rain shower, ocean waves, Summer nights, and rainforest sounds.  The volume control allows you to set how loudly the sounds play. **What I like about it:**  I use only select features on my clock.  I have a really hard time falling asleep without my rainfall sound now!  It's my favorite, because it's a steady white noise.  Some of the other nature sounds have ebbs and slows in the volume, which makes it harder for me to rest.  I use the nature sounds or radio as my alarm, since it's significantly more gentle than the beeper...especially since I hate mornings anyway!  It's a really easy clock to learn to use, and each button is self-explanatory.  The radio has a small wire antennae to get the best reception, and I have no problems getting right onto my stations, even with the turn dial.  I love the blue light of the time display as opposed to ugly red on other clocks!  Much more peaceful! **What I don't like about it:  ** My big complaint is that this machine has terrible feedback if you have a cell phone nearby!  When I'm on call for my job, I can't use the sound machine to fall asleep, or the feedback startles me awake when the phone is just resting beside it!  I haven't used the time projection feature, mostly because I have terrible eyesight and can't see it on the ceiling clearly anyway.  Plus, the light is really bright, and I prefer a dark room.  They might as well have left the beeper feature off this clock, because it is SO obnoxious, I only used it one time, and learned my lesson!   In all, this is a great clock and I love the nature sounds.  I fall asleep faster and sleep more soundly when I use the sound feature than when I sleep in a quiet room.  While it's not perfect, it has enough features that I believe everyone can find their favorites and can just ignore the rest.  Four stars!

The HoMedics SoundSpa Clock Radio With Time Projection is very much worth the money. This clock is just awesome. It has several sound effects to go along with the projection. The projection can be moved to about any angle. I would buy this again and again. I really like this clock. The projection part is great. I do have two small critiques. First, the lights on the clock are entirely too bright, even with the dim switch on. I have put electrical tape over it, so that I can sleep at night. the projection part also blew out within the first month, so that feature was useless, but everything that was important still worked well enough...Another issue is strictly a personal preference but I wish there was a sound like wind or something not related to water (if you know what I mean) and that doesn't have some sort of animal noise. Other than those two things, I really do like it. and overall, it is worth the money.
