I cannot believe that a fresh, brand new box of these failed to seal in EVERY instance!

This little guy has always come to my rescue when it comes to storage. I have used it to store anything and everything possible, both in the freezer and the refrigerator. I very often fill in these bags with leftover food items like curries, pizza dough, sauce, pasta, seal them tight and throw them in the freezer for later use. It is perfect for someone who cooks for many days altogether, you van portion the meal and fill in these bags and freeze them for consumption later. I also blanch some veggies for later use, which I put and seal in these bags. They keep fresh for a long, long time. Same with food, it stays as fresh as on the day it was cooked. I also use it on the go, carrying some snacks, cookies or chopped carrots to munch on. Hefty one zip storage bag has never let me down, and I reuse them often too. They stay as good as new. It is my best companion in the kitchen! I will recommend this bag to store anything and everything, from pizza to soup, from curries to dough!!

I bought these bags because I had several manufacturers coupons for them and I ran across a good sale. I bought one box of the larger storage bags and one of the smaller food storage bags. I have to say that the zipper closure on both of these types is totally not reliable. Every single one I used for whatever purpose ended up ripping open. They were not overstuffed either. My husband finally became so frustrated that he simply threw them all in the garbage. We garden extensively and tend to go through many storage bags in the summer storing vegetables and produce in the refrigerator. These bags ended up with produce all over the floor most of the time. I'll stick with the more expensive brands with different closure methods and stay away from these. I just can't think of any thing they would be good for unless you used twist ties with them instead. I hate to give bad reviews but this product is just not a good one as it is designed.

I love these bags! They are great for everyday life. I use them all of the time. I really like these bags because of their zip closer opposed to a press seal. With the press seal, sometime I don't press it all the way across and it spills. With the zip closer, I am always confident that the seal is tight. I also like the seal itself. I like that the plastic is thicker and stronger. It's great for when I have heavier items in the bags. I can lift the bags up by their tips or not worry that the bag will bust if it tips over. It really widens the variety of items that I can put in the small bags. Another great feature of these bags is the size and shape of the box. It's perfect for dispensing bags without making a mess. It's also great for storing in my drawer. It's fits perfectly and I can still close the drawer. I also like that the bag size is a quart. It perfect for my holding without being too big.

This product helps me allot ,These are sturdy and very stylish little pouches! The Velcro is extra heavy, the fabric of the pouch is strong and durable! My only problem with them is that a sandwich is wont to slide about inside the pouch, dislodging fillings and generally making a mess. My son has 1/2 sandwiches for lunch and those really fly apart in there. I've taken to putting a toothpick through the sandwich, but I don't really like to do that as I'm sure he'll impale the roof of his mouth one day even with the little curly cellophane toothpick identifier. Still, I love the pouches for holding other snacks and I'm glad I bought them, but I'm in the market for a reusable wrap that will hold the sandwich more securely.

Hefty is a very effective brand, but is slightly higher priced that some of the generic or store brand product of the same variety. But it is well worth the few extra cents!! The other cheaper brands of zip lock storage containers often have faulty locking features, meaning you may thing you have closed the bag securing and then your food has gone stale!! Or the bags split and the seem and leave unwanted messes. Hefty is of the more durable of its school of products on the market. Its hefty hefty hefty!! With the Hefty Zip look containers you know that once you have sealed you bag, the food or items inside are secure for freshness. These bags have never split open at the seams when I have used them. Also, Hefty products are readily available and most gas stations, grocery stores, convenient stores, and even some small business mom and pop shops. Hefty has been around for a long time and has been a very trusted product in my household for as long as I can remember.

Hefty is my go-to brand for zipper bags. They have a consistent excellent quality and a huge variety of sizes. First, the One Zip slider is the best thing ever! No more matching up those stupid colored (or not) stripes and trying to squeeze them together and making sure they're actually sealed. Just one zip and you're done. You know your food (or whatever) is securely sealed. The quality of the bags is great too. I use them for storing my garden harvest in the freezer and they stand up to months of being frozen and opened and closed again at least a couple times a week when I scoop out green beans or corn to have for dinner. They never break and they never rip. I also love the wide variety of sizes! The quart size is great for freezing individual sliced bagels or a dozen or so home baked cookies. The gallon is what I use for my green beans and corn. I am able to fill them and then stack them flat on their sides to maximize freezer space. My favorite may just be the jumbo bags. At 2.5 gallons they're ideal for putting pizzas or casserole dishes in. They are also awesome for holding batches of cookies when I bag them a dozen at a time and then put all those small bags into one large bag so one kind is all together. I love these and cannot recommend them enough!

Even though these are easy to close, I don't particularly care for them because they occasionally pop open. The standard zipper seal style bag is more for me. While it is clear when these are open or closed (unlike with the standard, where you have to really make sure that it's sealed tight), they do not have a guaranteed seal. Depending on what you are keeping in the bag, it can either pop open (large items) or leak out of the corner (liquids or gels). These bags are also not ideal for crackers or cookies that are affected by moisture or being dried out. With a standard zipper seal bag, you can be sure that as long as it's sealed, air won't get in. For small amounts of non-perishable solid items, these are pretty good. These also are a solid travel choice for keeping small bottles of shampoos and soaps as long as the bottles are small enough not to force the bag open. As far as food goes, these are hit or miss, but to hold other items, they're okay.

I first bought the Hefty One Zip Storage Bags because of a buy one get one free sale. They were a great price, so I decided to branch out and try a new (to me) brand. Having never used these bags before, I was really impressed at how easily they were to open and close thanks to the slider at the top. It even makes a soft clicking sound when it is closed all the way. These would probably be wonderful for older people to use who have trouble opening things. In fact, I believe that there is a recommendation by an arthritis organization on the box. While these work well in the kitchen of course, I have actually found that I use them most often in other areas. In addition to being great for senior citizens, the easy slider top makes these perfect for children to use as well (older children, obviously). For that reason, we have found these bags to be really convenient for storing children's toys, games, and puzzles. Hefty's One Zip bags are a definite win in my book!
