I have had it for a year now i don't bother with the autotimer. It brews pretty quick. I love the bold setting i really like Strong coffee if you use that setting expect it to take longer. I don't like how much condensation drips all over wooden i open the top after brewing. Is not fancy but it does what i bought it for.
I use it all day long , mornings , breaks and night. My whole family put there own taste like cinnamon , creams , whip cream and even cheese , we are coffee addicts
very nice and esay use

Overall this coffeemaker is okay--but: I don't think it keeps the coffee as hot as I would like and there are almost always grounds in the bottom of the carafe. However, it does make 12 cups which is nice if you like to drink a lot of coffee and/or are not drinking alone. And, it is easy to use.I do recommend this but with some reservations.
Red + Coffee = Love
My 5 year old red coffee maker died on me suddenly and I just knew I wouldn't be able to find another red one for a good price. Luckily, I was wrong, and I stumbled upon this beauty!
I have coffee on, pretty much all day and into the evening, and this coffee maker has withstood 6 months of my torture without missing a beat.
We lice the bright blue light, like a mouth to a flame, pulling me to fresh hot coffee. For some reason it's a bit difficult to get water in the machine without spilling some somewhere, but otherwise, we love it.
Overall, I love this coffee maker. It brews quickly, and keeps the coffee hot enough so that you don't have lukewarm liquid once you add milk. I like my coffee light so many other coffee makers just don't keep the coffee hot enough for me. The only thing that I don't like about it, is that the opening to pour in water is in an awkward position.
I do also like that I was able to color coordinate my appliances to my kitchen decor!

It gets the job done, so overall it's acceptable. A couple things I've noticed:
In order to use the programmable feature, you have to set it up every single night, and take it all back out and refresh it the next morning. Also, you have to poke buttons randomly to make sure your programmed time is still the same...in case you've forgotten what you've set it for.
When you open the lid ANYTIME after brewing has completed, the condensation on the underside of the ENTIRE lid goes all over the place...usually back inside the coffeemaker, sometimes back behind the unit and all over the counter.
It DOES stop dripping mid-cycle if you remove the carafe, which I was skeptical of at first, but glad to see it works.
I love the red color. It's spiffy in my kitchen lol.
The blue light to let you know the unit is on is INCREDIBLY BLINDINGLY bright. It's like it stares into the depths of your SOUL. Ridiculously unnecessary. But the clock digits themselves are rather quite dim...they could have balanced that out a bit.
It has either regular or BOLD brew options. I usually always set it to bold. And we use the boldest brew coffee, too, so it's always pretty strong. I haven't tried the 1-4 cup setting yet...not really sure what that one does...figured that's what bold did, but what do I know :-P
The 2 hour automatic shutoff feature is helpful, because my hubby and F.I.L. take FOREVER to get around to actually pouring themselves a cup once it's ready, so at least it's staying warm while it's sitting there for so long unattended.
Overall, though, again, I still like having the unit around.
We got it per hubby's request for coffee that was already ready to go straight out of bed, so they could just grab and go...pour into mugs and take them to work. And it works for that, so I consider it a success :-) Hopefully it lasts a LONG time, but we'll see!
Takes about 10 minutes or so (when putting in approx 5 cups worth of water) from setup to actually being done with the cycle and ready to pour.
Ease of Cleaning
I haven't gotten too fancy with it yet, at this point. I simply rinse the carafe, swish it around, pour it back out, and put it back in the unit. I've had to wipe down the underside of the top flip-up lid several times, though, because there is SO much condensation that pours all over the place if I don't. And sometimes the grounds splash up onto there, too.
It's cute? :-P
I won't be able to really gauge this aspect until I've owned it for a decent amount of time. At this point, it's only been about a week.
Works Great and Looks Great
We received a Red Hamilton Beach Coffee Pot for our wedding, and we have been married for over 2 years now and this coffee pot is still going strong and works perfect just like when we first got it! My husband is a coffee drinker and drinks coffee every morning, so this coffee pot gets a good amount of use!
One of my favorite things about this pot is you can set the timer to go off and it will start making coffee. I get it prepared each night so when my hubby wakes up he can just pour himself some warm rich tasting coffee!! He really loves not having to mess with filling it full of water, and putting in a new filter and coffee grounds each morning!
For the price of this coffee pot, it is really worth the investment. Like I said we have had ours for over 2 years and it works great, and to some that isn't a long time frame but for me it is! I have had coffee pots go out after a year or less, and it would get really frustrating, so I am really impressed with this coffee pot for sure!!
Great coffeemaker for the price
The Hamilton Beach Hamilton Beach 12 cup coffee maker is one of the best coffee makers I've purchased in a long time. This machine is very easy to clean as the mouth of the carafe is very wide. This makes it easy to get inside and get stains out. No overly complicated buttons so its easy to program. The brewing speed is really fast and the unit light and compact. The color stands out and is perfect for just about any kitchen decor.
I love my red Hamilton Beach coffee maker!!
I am a coffee maker lover. I have had multiple ones through the years that I have tried. I saw the Hamilton Beach red coffee maker on line. I wanted to buy it but didn't have the money at the time. I ended up seeing it at Kmart for sale and they were out of stock!! I waited until they had them in and paid regular price because I wanted it so much. I specifically wanted a red coffee maker. I saw other brands that were the red color but this one had the programable feature. In the past I had coffeemakers with this feature and never used it. I do now. It's wonderful to set it to start each morning about 15 minutes before I get up. No more spilling water or coffee because I am still half asleep!! I live alone now so I can make it as strong as I want too!! If this ever stops working I will definitely buy another Hamilton Beach red automatic coffee maker. If I had the money I would buy one now to keep on hand. Just in case they stop making them or something.
