I picked up the Hamilton Beach Belgian Style Waffle Maker after my old waffle maker died. What I liked most about this machine is that it was very portable and doesn't occupy a lot of space on my counter. I find the light indicators that signal when it's ready for me to pour in the batter and when my waffles are done very useful. This waffle maker makes thick crunchy golden waffles every time I follow the appropriate cooking time usually, but if I let the waffles cook an extra 15-20 seconds I found it very difficult to remove the waffles from the grates without tearing. I found cleaning this machine while it's still hot to be the easiest way. I could usually clean the excess batter out of the grates with a napkin or a dry dish towel with a few back and forth wipes. If I let the waffle maker cool down before cleaning it would require me to use warm water and a toothbrush to remove the debris. I definitely would recommend the Hamilton Beach Belgian Style Waffle Maker because it's compact, dependable, and stylish.
