Not worth the money

3

I do not get the rage about these. I had a cotton one and a fleece one and all 3 of my kids hated them. They are a waste of money just buy some nice blankets instead. Also I never felt comfortable using the fleece one on a newborn baby with the risk of SIDS so high.

A must have for safe sleeping!

We used the Halo sleepsack wearable blanket for my three year old daughter when she was an infant, and are now using them again for my three month old son. I absolutely love these sleepsacks, and feel so much more comfortable knowing that my baby is warm at night, without having to worry about loose blankets, etc in his crib. The sleepsacks with the swaddle feature are also wonderful for babies who like to be nice and snug at night when they are sleeping. The velcro keeps the swaddle portion firmly in place so there are again no worries of loose material while baby is sleeping. They come in a wide variety of sizes, so these blankets really grow with your baby until they are old enough to begin sleeping with a blanket. These blankets are so soft and comfortable. My son loves them, he goes right to sleep after he gets swaddled in his Halo Cotton Sleepsack at night. They come in fleece, cotton or even velour I believe, so you have options depending on how cold your house is at night.

must have for new baby

I love this product!  I had a baby in April and these sleep sacks were the perfect solution to the cool nights.  I had the fear of SIDS from sleeping with a blanke yet I didn't want my newborn baby to be freezing in the middle of the night.  This sleepsack is the perfect solution.  I never put my baby to be with out it.  It's great that you don't have to worry because your baby will be safe and warm.  I like that the compay offers these in all sizes and different weights.  We used the cotton for the spring/summer and them moved on to the heavy fleece for the cold wisconsin winter.  Paired with a footed sleeper, I knew my baby was nice and toasty.  They are very durable and wash up nicely as well.  My little one did a lot of spitting up and these halos were washed a lot.  There was never any wear down of the fabric or piling.  No threading came undone and the zipper stayed in tact.  Excellent quality product.  These are also great for middle of the night diaper changes.

Halo sleepsacks are the best out there

We tried a few different brands of sleepsacks, these were the best by far.  We have the NB, small and medium in cotton and fleece.  They are on their second child now and still great.  Love the zipper ending on the bottom and the fact that they are so simple.  We also had the swaddling one for our secnd child and it was awesome too.  Don't bother with others.  Watch for the sales and get Halo.

Cuddle Bug!

When our fourth child was having trouble staying asleep, but refusing to stay swaddled, we were at our wits end! He obviously preferred the secure feeling and warmth of the swaddle, but was ready to move on from the constrictive nature of a nice, tight swaddle. Enter the Halo Sleep Sack! He stays nice and toasty all night long, and the sack makes him feel very secure. We love that the sack is soft but breathable. that it reduces the chanes of SIDS, and that is has a great zipper function that zips from the bottom up so diaper changes are easy peasy.  The only drawbacks I see are the expensive price and the fact that the fleece material started pilling after just a few washes.  These drawbacks, however, are small potatoes when compared to the fact that our son is now sleeping soundly through the night! I constantly suggest the Halo Sleep Sack to my friends that are expecting a baby, and will definitely continue to use them myself!

a great safe alternative to blankets

One thing that I fear, among the many now, with my Little Bit is Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Little Bit slept in his swing for six months so we did not have to worry about things in his sleeping area that would cause him to suffocate. Now that we have moved him into the crib I have started using Halo Sleepsacks instead of blankets. I have a variety of sleepsacks. I have a light one for day sleeping, a cotton one for warmer nights, and a microfiber one for cold nights. My baby is very snug in his sleep sack. He is able to easily move around and make himself comfortable.  The sack is fitted enough at the top that he is unable to wiggle out of it. It is loose at the bottom so that he can kick his legs or roll around. Another neat attribute of the sleep sack is that is zipper is upside down. This is nice because my baby is not able to unzip himself. The sleep sack comes in a variety of colors, fibers, and sizes so it is appropriate for every baby.

Shocked that more people don't use these!

When our son was born 2 years ago, we were, like many first-time parents, concerned with the possibility of SIDS.  I had always heard not to put a blanket in the crib with a baby, so we were at a loss as to what to do to keep our son warm (he was a small infant during an extremely cold winter).  We found the Halo sleepsacks and they were just what we were looking for.  They come in fleece and cotton and the fleece ones were perfect for sleeping when worn over a onesie.  Our son loved them because he was quite a kicker, even during sleep, and he stayed warm and cozy while kicking his heart out.  We never had to worry about a blanket in the crib or worry if he was warm enough.  As more of my friends have had babies, I have been shocked that more of them have never heard of a sleepsack before.  I always share with them our experience with them, but remarkably, some don't seem to listen and still put blankets in the crib.
