Extremely Very Poor Customer Service

1

Train and provide proper customer service to your employees. Your customer representatives are rude and arrogant!!! Customer Service Big companies like HSBC should invest in training their employees to learn "True Custome Service". Their representative are SO rude, arrogant. First they verify your info (which is great), second, they talk about advertising more products and they DON"T ask you why how can they help you or at least ask why did you call. I have called no more than 6 times in 10 years and every single representative I talked to are consisten with their service -- ARROGANT, RUDE, & RUSHING you.

If there were a way to give it less than 1 star I would! Awful!

The worse mortgage company I have ever done business with.  In the beginning, when we first re-financed, they were great, friendly, but when my husband died, there was no way they would work with me to save my home.  Ended up in forclosure, wouldn't even talk to my daughter about doing a quick sale.  Never do business with them.  I'd love to see them go out of business, but then, they would just start up under a different name, and taking advantage of people all over again. Mean representatives over the phone, not willing at all to work with their customers, only want money, no matter who they hurt. Customer Service Uncaring company

Less than one star for mortgages and all loans!

The worst company ever.  No one communicates with each other.  Everyone gives you a differant answer.  They also come up with fees that are unrealistic.  They sent me a bill with one amount, I called to confirmed the bill was correct and was told yes.  Then  I recieved a late fee because the bill was wrong and I paid what the bill and customer service told me. Who's running this company?  Please stay away!

CAN THEY DO THIS???

We bought our home in 2006. The flood determination was incorrect saying we we're not in a SFHA in which, we were in an "AE" Flood Zone which mandatory flood insurance was required (American Flood Data Services also known as CoreLogics, is who did the flood determination, but I don't think we have a case against them since there was a revision in 2008 which makes the lender responsible). A revision was done in August of 2008 in which the home was still in an "AE" Flood Zone.In May 2010 our home flooded over the roof (luckly my 2kids and myself got out safely). In hiring an attorney and trying to deed the property back to their name (even though the home is a total loss and is pretty much condemed) they would only agree to deed the property back in their name in lieu of foreclosure. They force placed insurance upon us and back dated the policy from September 2008-2009 and the other back dated from September 2009-2010 and told us once the premiums where paid we could make a claim. If I'm not mistaken this is insurance fraud, I'm sure if my house caught on fire I couldn't go get a policy then make a claim on my burnt down home!!! Since they are using their own insurance company and the insurance compnay is not affiliated with the NFIP (National Flood Insurance Program) I can  not report it. We are currently in the process if fighting this. They force placed insurance 2yrs after a revision and we for one didn't get our 45days to chose our own insurance company (in which no insurance company in their right mind would insure a home already flooded!) and two, we wouldn't have bought the house in the first place if we would have known it was in a AE Flood Zone. If any thought or comments please help!! I will keep you updated on the case if I don't lose my mind! I will go down with a fight! This is unethical and they shouldn't be able to do this!!!

I had been happy with HSBC a couple years ago when we had a motorcycle accident and my husband and I were both off work for a while.  I called and they deffered a couple months payments (moved them to the back of the loan).  This past year (aug) my husband was out of work for 4 weeks ( no paycheck for 5 weeks)  I called HSBC and asked them to deffer a couple months payments ( I knew this could be done because we had done it before)  The rep on the phone said that I had to  be "late" on my payment, so I waited until the day after my payment was due and called back.  That rep said that I had to wait until the 2nd months payment was late and that they may have another program that we could qualify for. To make a long story short..... they called every day at least 5 times a day to hound us about our "late" payments and it took me talking to upteen million different people to finally get the payments deffered and a rate modification plan in place.  Had I know this was going to take4-6 months to get through I would have just seen if I could find someone else to refinance my loan!!!!!

I have watched a friends of mind sell off everything they own to keep up with the damands of this company, it started off with little things like extra items in the house to the second car, then clothing jewelery what ever they could sell. The company just kept hounding them calling almost hourly, at the home the job there cell phones, it did'nt seem to matter they even called the daycare provider , and to me this was just too far. The family sold everything they had and still lost there home to this company from hell................................ I truely think someone should put a stop to companies like this , I am supprised they did'nt kill them selfs from the stress alone, all the comstant harrassing they recieved.

When my husband and I refinanced our home due to extensive damage from flooding a couple of years ago, we went through a mortgage broker.  They suggested to get a lower rate we should go with HSBC even though it was an ARM, we could always refi before the ARM came into effect.  We figured sure not a problem, so we got the ARM and went on our way cause our basement had over $15,000 worth of damage that we needed to take care of.  I figured in 4 years we would either be moving or selling our home.   This was the summer of 2004.  Well in the summer of  2005 my son got very ill and we had aquired a tremendous amount of medical debt and missed work so paychecks were smaller when all was said and done our credit was not so perfect any longer.  When we went to refinance in November of 2007 it was not possible.  When I questioned HSBC about all the laws that were being passed to help home owners they said they did not have to follow any of those laws and they could do what they wanted.  So I said to them you would rather forclose and try to sell this house to recover your loss then work with the owners and they said yes.  I was floored.  SO my response was we are going to sell our house.  After much prayer and a good agent.  We sold our house in 10 days, yes ten days and closed 3 weeks later.  We were set to make a profit of 8,000 dollars on our house.  When our payoff statement came, HSBC said we owed 8,000 in past interest payments for the house.  This came from out of no where.  It was not listed on our statement that came for that month.  When questioned about show us where this interest came from, they could not provide us with an itemized listing of where this interest was coming from.  I was in tears.  We were going to come out ahead and pay things off and have a fresh start.  It is now November and we closed in May and I still have no resolution.  I will never go through this again.  Too many innocent people are getting caught in this sub prime mess.  I pray for them all.
