Outstanding photo quality

5

Great print quality and paper feeds through one at a time unlike most of the printers I've owned which grab several sheets at a time. Ink is relatively inexpensive and easy to find. I've owned it for about a year and a half and had no problems with it. Supported flash memory is as follows:  CompactFlash , Memory Stick , MultiMediaCard , SD Memory Card , xD-Picture Card , Memory Stick Duo. Supported media types are  cards , labels , envelopes ,photo paper ,plain paper , transparencies , iron-on transfers.  I have truly been satisfied with this printer.

Great Printer for Everything

5

I've used this printer to print documents and even colored pictures. This printer really does everything without having to put in much effort. I can scan documents and the software that comes with the printer will automatically archive each scan and save onto my computer. Making a copy is simple and give great results each time. I'm able to print color pictures using regular paper or photo paper, the result is good with both types of paper. One difference is regular paper will not be thick enough to absorb the amounts of ink that is printed on the sheet. It only has USB connection and would have been a plus if it had wireless connectivity too. The size of the printer is compact so it can fit under the desk or anywhere that has room. The printer has a small LCD screen where it shows the status of the printer. I've used this printer daily and never had a problem.

Pretty decent printer

I could get a free printer with the purchase of my mac and I chose this one because it was the cheapest option I had. What do I say, for a free printer it worked well, I am happy I didn't have to pay 100 bucks for it. It did have some good things like it was compact and could be easily stowed away when not in use. It was white so it did go well with my mac products but on the other hand it did get dirty and collect a lot of dust so that was a major turn off. I would say it was a decent printer reliable and affordable. It was a all in one printer so it did have features like scanning which was an added bonus. Now moving on the the drawbacks of the printer. The ink provided would dry up really quickly and getting a replacement ink cartridge is pretty expensive. You could probably get another printer at that price. It lasted me a couple of years after which is just died on me and I didn't care too much because I wasn't too frequent in printing stuff so it was a decent printer overall.

Gets the Job Done

4

I have had this printer, or the older version of this printer for about five years.  I think this is about as good as you can get for an all in one printer.  You can print color.  You can print black and white.  I would not recommend it as a photo printer, although that is listed as one of its features.  The pictures are not that great, though, and it is just as cheap to print them at the drugstore or online when you factor in the price of ink.  I also use the scanner all the time.  The software for the scanner takes a little bit of getting used to, but once you do it is really easy to scan pictures in and you get pretty good quality.  This printer really is a good little everyday printer for a single person or small family.  If you do not have heavy duty printing needs, it really get the job done.  The ink cartridges can be a little pricey, but I think that is true for all printer.  I really ought to investigate refills, but they are not so expensive as to be worth bothering with all that. . .

This printer was not bad at all

I used this printer for one semester and was able to print everything that I need without the need to refill for more ink. This printer gets the job done. I simply press the on button, print and then press the button to turn the printer off. This prints out really fast too however, I don't like how this printer can get noisy and moves too. I guess I shouldn't really mind too much but it does get annoying when I had to print more than 10 pages sometimes. I love how it's an all in one and I can also scan things. I haven't used the scanner yet or the copying function but I'm sure it wouldn't be too bad. The pictures that I printed weren't such a good quality but I don't need to print that many pictures for my classes. The paper can get jammed and I had to take my time to take the paper out of it and reprint it which is a pain. The ink might be costly for me I was so used to my other printer where it was only black and white. But this one is color which can sometimes use up the color ink that I don't necessarily need.

Not all I thought it would be

I got a good deal on this printer when I bought my laptop several years ago and have been using it ever since.  It prints quickly and when it wants to prints good quality images. I find that after printing for awhile the black cartridge gets 'dirty' and starts to smear the ink.  If I take it out and clear it with a little rubbing alcohol the quality improves again,  but not ideal.  The printer is suppose to print 2 sided, but generally ends up eating the paper if I don't do a manual feed. It's scanning and copying capabilities work great.

A great All-in-One printer for the home!

My husband and I bought the HP Photosmart C3180 All-in-One printer a few years ago when we bought our first computer.  I really love all the features that come with the printer such as the scanner, the copier (color or black), the ability to print photos directly off my memory card and the memory card readers for easy downloading to our computer.  For the most part I have not had any trouble with the HP Photosmart C3180 All-in-One printer.  If you print a lot it can go through ink semi-quickly but in my opinion the ink is not so exspensive that I could not afford it.  One of the problems I have had with this printer is sometimes it does not pull the paper through correctly and will jam.  However, I blame most of this on the fact that I have small children who are constantly messing with the printer.  I have always been able to correct any problems that I've had.  I believe this is a great printer for anyone who does a lot of printing at home.

HPC3180 Printer not too bad.

I received this printer from my in-laws for Christmas one year. I really wanted a printer that would copy and print and easily print pictures.  I have to say it prints and copies with ease, the printing pictures however leaves a bit to be desired.  It took me a long time to figure out how to print picture the size I wanted them.  The picture quality is not great even when you have it on the highest setting.  My husband hates this printer because he thinks it guzzles ink, but I assure him that most printers guzzle ink, that is how they make money.  If we could find a printer that doesn't guzzle ink we would probably trade it in.  We mostly use it for basic printing and really don't use it for pictures anymore.  I think the print quality is really good however and it is pretty easy to collate documents.  I love the copy feature, very easy to use and love to be able to print recipes for people or make copies for my lessons.  I don't know that I readily recommend this product for pictures but for everything else I really like it.

Basic Printer for Anyone

3

I've had this printer for approximately 2-3 years. I must say it almost broke a couple times already, but I was able to fix it. I mostly only print documents that are school related. Few pictures here and there.**Pros:**Prints quite fast. Fast to power up and use. When your done simply turn it off. The printer is detected on your computer pretty fast too. The quality of prints are good. Not really a photo printer, but photos that come out looks good too. The printer is quite cheap, the ink also. And they usually come in bundles so more money saved there. Letter sized paper is the only paper size that can fit which is enough. You can scan stuff and photocopy which is another plus for a student like me. **Cons:**The setup is quite tedious. At first use, I couldn't set it up, even with the CD. Then I just forgot on how I did it. When I got a laptop, I needed to set it up again. But without the CD, I had to go through an online source. I think I should've done that from the beginning. Using an online source for the installation is much faster. Not to mention the printer doesn't have to stay connected with the device. Just plug it in whenever you need it and it's ready to print. Another con is that the paper does get stuck at times. The ink toner runs out really fast! And soemtimes, when printing it takes two papers instead of one.Bottom line, multi-purposeful printer that is useful for the average student.

Best printer I have ever had!

I am very impressed with this printer! I am currently a college student; which means Iuse my printer more than others! I love the scanner and the copier as well! I had to scan my drivers license and I set the paper on my desk; I am not exaggerating, I tried picking up that paper five times because I thought t was my license! I make copies of my notes for my friends in class if they miss a day of school, they are even impressed by the quality of my printer. I could not ask for anything more out of my printer!
