I have always liked HP products

4

I just purchased the Hewlett Packard HP Pavillion a6110n. I have always liked Hewlett Packard products. What makes this different is the software. The new Vista software controls the computer and I would prefer to personalize more of my personal computer. Vista software is so new, that it still has a conflict with other programs. I am sure this will be worked out in time. This computer (in spite of Vista) is fast and efficient. It gets the job done. It also has a stylish look. I asked the retailer if it was possible to down grade back to Windows XP, they said no. The new computers are made for Vista only. Down grading is not possible. So I am extremely pleased with the hardware and not so pleased with the software. Overall, if I had to make the purchase again, I would. I enjoy Hewlett Packard so much, I bought a printer as well.

One of the best computers that I have ever used

5

The HP Pavilion A6110N desktop computer is the best computer that I have ever used. It is a lot faster than a lot of the previous computers that I have owned. This computer has a 320 GB hard drive, which is plenty of space for all of my files. The 2048 MB of RAM make the computer very fast. I also like that this computer has a total of 6 USB ports. One other really cool feature is that it has 2 FireWire ports. FireWire ports are used for camcorders, and also for external hard drives. A lot of computers that I see only have 1 FireWire port, but this computer has 2. The only negative thing that I can say about this computer is that there is only 1 free PCI slot, for expansion cards. Some people may like to add more expansion cards to the motherboard, and that is not possible with the motherboard that is in this computer. Other than that, though, all of the parts in the computer are very durable and high-quality, and the power supply is very quiet. I would highly recommend this computer to others.

HP Pavilion A6110N desktop computer for all

5

HP has been around for a while, as I grew up with companies like IBM and HP. HP computers were always less expensive compared to IBM computers. Later on, IBM stopped making desktops and HP and Dell took over. I always recommend my friends who could afford it, to go with HP and Dell computers. I've own an old (to me it's old) HP computer with the Athlon 64 X2 cpu, and it runs smooth for how old it really is. Any newer model that HP makes, including this HP Pavilion A6110N desktop, I can recommend to any average PC user to purchase, because I have no doubt that it would be useful for any family. In addition, you are getting your money's worth because if you are not a computer savvy person (know how to build your own PC, or your parents are buying you a new computer) this will save the hassle of having that problem. This is an affordable PC with decent specifications, and HP is a good company, so I trust this HP Pavilion A6110N desktop to do the job.

Good computer

This computer was reluctantly purchased by me since I did not really need it that much. However, my family members were bugging that they had need one. So in response to their needs, I decided to purchase this particular computer. Surprisingly, it worked very good and was fast responding as well. With 360 gigabytes, many items can be stored and saves on it. This is important especially to our family. I suggest you go out and purchase this because overall, I like this computer and feel you will too. The only thing, after all of these, is that Windows Vista is installed!! Out of all the Windows operating systems, Windows Vista is the worst!! It is okay I guess, but I would definitely take Windows XP operating system over it anyday. So all in all, this computer is pretty well performing and for a family in need of it, this is a pretty good choice at not that bad of a price. Overall, I would give it four out of five stars.

HP Pavilion good computer

My husband and I purchased this computer over a year ago when my Dell laptop became overwhelmed with all of these large programs and applications that exist nowadays. Since having this computer for 1.5 years, it has not slowed down at all! I am quite impressed with its speed and efficiency. The screen is gigantic and I can't imagine ever going back to a smaller screen. It's also very clear. We occasionally have had some strange shut-down problems where the computer turns itself off. We have to re-boot the machine to a previous session and it seems odd that this occurs. However, once "fixed", it seems like it never had a problem to begin with. My parents have the same computer and seem to have a few more problems with it than I do, however their virus protection system is not as good as mine so maybe they are getting more viruses? Overall, this is a great unit for the price. I will buy HP again in the future.

An AWESOME computer

It is fast enough for you to run about anything. Unfortunately, it does not have a strong enough graphics card to run most modern games on full, or sometimes even normal graphics. If you are not going to use it for gaming, it will run just about any program you can give it. If you are going to use it for gaming, you have to upgrade its graphics card and, depending on what card you buy, its power supply.

the HP Pavilion is great

I used to have an extremely old and obsolete Dell Desktop. It did its job, but it was extremely slow. I decided I wanted to upgrade because it was getting to the annoying point of taking forever to load a web page. I shopped around and eventually decided on the HP Pavilion Desktop Computer. It was the best technological decision I have made in a very long time. I highly recommend this computer because not only is it fast, but it also is a cool looking, jet black, and it appears to be very durable. The HP Pavilion also has a lot of RAM and memory. I haven't noticed any Hardware issues and Windows 7 works like a charm on it. Some people say that it is not Windows Vista friendly. I cannot confirm or deny this, but I do suggest that you get Windows 7 over Windows Vista. Windows 7 is light years better, and it is a lot easier to use. Case in Point: I recommend the purchase of the HP Pavilion Desktop. It is an incredible computer that you will not regret.

Great for what you pay for

It is fast enough for you to run about anything. Unfortunately, it does not have a strong enough graphics card to run most modern games on full, or sometimes even normal graphics. If you are not going to use it for gaming, it will run just about any program you can give it. If you are going to use it for gaming, you have to upgrade its graphics card and, depending on what card you buy, its power supply.  Just to give perspective for the graphics card, it can run World of Warcraft fine, with only a few graphics options (which make the game look nicer when turned off anyway) off, but can only run Starcraft 2 on low graphics.  I have not had any hardware issues with this product. It has run well the entire time I have had it. The only problem I have is that it is and HP computer, so it has a incredibly large amount of programs and applications that I will never use, or never dream of using. I deleted about 10 gigabytes of programs I did not want that it came with.

love it

i have always been an hp fan. i have 2 hp computers, 1 desktop and 1 laptop and i have a printer that is hp which is a laser for black and ink. and i just love them. my desktop works very very good. i loved hp but i felt a couple of years ago they made some products that were not so great at all. especially the ones with vista. i would buy a new computer and it would be extremely slow. but i think this one is very nice. plus i love the color! i think it looks great in a room and it's very simple. we have our bedroom set and it's black so this computer looks really nice in the corner and it matches the bedroom set. it's just something very simple. it also works fast. i have yet to see it freeze up on me, knock on wood. so i would definately buy this again and really not only this product but always hp becuase i have found them to be the best in the market and they have excellent customer service.

It's a solid product that is easily upgradeable

I am now on my 5th year with my HP Pavilion.     Aside from a few minor issues,  this has been a machine that has far exceeded my expectations...especially considering that I paid very little for mine.     I had two negative comments about it--  the recovery partition (as opposed to a separate Windows installation disk) was more of a nuisence than a help;  and,  I also found the intergrated sound card and NIC did not work properly.      Those are minor issues since the recovery can also be accomplished by creating recovery discs...and I just installed a Plug and Play sound card as well as a network card. My Pavilion was preloaded with a lot of useful software, including a very useful photo editing program...a must in my website design work.   However, the Image Management tool put out by HP seemed to occasionally cause the system to freeze, so I disabled it.  The audio editing software (Sonic) was not as effective,  but I was able to download a program that worked better.       One of the features I like is the ease of opening the case for cleaning and upgrades.   Not needing a screwdriver for the case is a bonus,  and having the clip on Hard drive holder made adding a second hard drive a breeze.     Access to the CD and DVD drives is a bit more challenging,  but still is easier than the Dell I replaced
