My advisor ordered this notebook for me so that I could run program faster and have the work done more efficient than using my aged desktop. Of course I upgrade the UPS and momery capacity so that it could work fast. It's quite heavy compared to the laptop I owned before but there is always tradeoff between the weight and power and to have my work done comes first. I accidentally poured some tea on the keyboard about several months after I got this laptop and some keys doesn't function. I dissembled the keyboard but can't fix the problem. I even broke one key when I tried to dissemble the keyboard. I was so frustrated, and thinking about buying a new keyboard to replace it. I finally contacted our media service department and they helped me send the laptop back to HP and HP fixed the problem and replaced a new keyboard for me without any charge. I have nothing to compain about this laptop w.r.t. quality. Have been used for several years, it still runs perfectly and quietly.

The HP 6730s far surpassed any expectations I had for a new laptop. I just retired and this is the **first** laptop **I** have purchased, having had one available me for use at work and home for 30 years. So, I was looking for quality, price, and something very mobile and lightweight. I got so much more than that! Lightning fast, amazing resolution, full-screen image, loads of storage. The tech at work helped me through the process as I am not the most knowlegeable about the specs of a computer, but I do know what I want to do with it: upload and store digital photos, word processing, email, Facebook, Google Chrome, calendar etc. This does it all!
