Guaifinisen is the a superior product for congestion relief and thinning of mucus . My pediatrician told me about this many , many years ago that " guaf " as she called it was THE product to get for congestion relief. I prefer to just use plain guaifinisen without any of the added products that suppress a cough or provide relief for fever and pain such as acetaminophen , etc. because all I am looking for is just sinus congestion relief - simple . I have never suffered a side effect from guafinisen and it is a very hamless product with few side effects - just remember to drink plenty of liquid when taking these tables as recommended . The water helps to get them into your system more quickly and it helps flush out any after effects . After using these tablets for just a few doses , you will find that you are blowing your nose and sneezing and really getting up a lot of nasty mucus which will the relief you really need . These are highly recommended and safe to use .
