Loved My Green Mountain Prefolds for my newborn!

5

I had my baby six months ago and started out the cloth diapering experience with the Green Mountain prefold diapers. The fact that these have a perfect score says it all! They work so well and are a breeze to learn how to use. There are a lot of different techniques for folding them that you can find on line. They are definitely diaper service quality and held up so well. They come perfectly clean and sun-bleached white when I washed them and let them dry in the sun. You cannot even tell that they have been used. I like the different colors for the different sizes so you can know which size you have. The newborn ones worked so well on my little 6 pound baby, and I used the Thirsties and some WAHM covers. I did not have any problems with the Green Mountain prefolds. I would highly recommend them if you are interested in cloth diapering. With the Snappis diaper fasteners, using the prefolds is so simple. It's not hard at all!

Green Mountain Diapers Prefolds: Top of the Line

5

Green Mountain Diapers makes amazing Prefold Diapers. They come in multiple sizes, so you don't end up with too much bulk and get a great fit. I have the orange edged newborn size, yellow edge infant, red edge mediums and brown edge large. You can buy in organic cotton or nonorganic cotton, with a slight difference in sizes. After prepping, which includes 6 washes and dries in hot water with cloth diaper detergent, these fluff up and shrink to a perfect size. Compared to other prefolds I have bought, these are not too long. You can test the absorbancy by dropping a bit of water on the surface and seeing if it absorbs. You may need to boil them for 20 minutes if they are not ready. They wash super easy and dry relatively quickly. The newborn sizes make great inserts for pockets later on. Their workhorse fitteds are the same material and work great too!

AMAZING prefolds!

I pretty much exclusively use cloth diapers on my baby, so I did a lot of research on what kind of diapers to buy. I decided on using prefolds and waterproof colors. Prefolds are an excellent inexpensive but practical choice. Green Mountain Diapers have a great reputation in the cloth diapering community so I bought some. I bought the sized small yellow edge diapers. You have to prep them a few times in the washer and then they come out so fluffy and quilted! This means they can absorb a lot of liquid. I have never had a leak with these. I started using them when my daughter was about 1 month old and the fit was a little bulky then but still fit great. Now, at 4 months they fit PERFECTLY and are so so trim. They wash up great and don't stain easily (will breastfed poop). I love having cotton next to my baby's skin rather than all sorts of chemicals. These diapers are a GREAT choice for budget concious mamas who want to cloth diaper!

The best prefold cloth diaper available

5

Green Mountain dsq Prefold Diapers are the best prefold out there! They come in many sizes from preemie to toddler with the most widely available selection available in my experience. GMD diapers come in organic cotton, unbleached cotton and white cotton options. These diapers are extremely absorbant once they have been prepped properly, are inexpensive yet easy to care for, all natural  and super soft and even have great resale value in the cloth diaper world. You do need a cover with these diapers but you can fasten them with diaper pins, a snappi or even trifold them in a wrap style cover. GMD prefolds are extremely versatile and a frugal yet green option. They can last you through several children and even be used as cleaning rags when your children are potty trained. You really can't go wrong with this sort of old school cloth diapering option ~ very simplistic yet with a modern twist.

Green Mount. Diapers are some of the best cloth dipes ever

Cloth diapering is obviously a great choice to make for your baby.  However, with all the choices, it can be overwhelming.  GMD diapers are one of the best choices and one of the easiest to use.  They are basic 4-8-4  prefolds that pack a huge punch.  They are 100% cotton so only natural fibers come into contact with your baby.  They are soft, absorbent,  and lint very little.  They quilt beautifully after a few washes, but can be used after the first; just don't expect them to be as absorbent until 8-10 hot washes.  These prefolds can simply be placed in a cover or pinned on to baby.  GMD diapers are priced economically and are available in a multitude of sizes to get a perfect fit.  Even if you size up for longevity, they can be easily adjusted by folding the front down.  I have tried many cloth diapers, but will always recommend GMD prefolds for a great, economical and most basic diapers.
