I belived the hype and for the most part, they were right.

I tried a pre-loved Goodmama fitted diaper with a cotton velour snap in soaker. At first, I was so disappointed because it didn't fit my baby girl who was about 4 months old at the time. I tried flipping the rise down to snap it but it was just way to bulky and stiff. Sadly I put it away and decided that Goodmamas were all hype. Then one day, when baby girl was about a year old I pulled out that ol' Goodmama and put it on her because I had run out of diapers on wash day plus she had a rash. (I'd moved, water changed, and I was still figuring out our new wash routine.) Lo and behold the thing fit! And it fit great! I put it on, added a wool soaker and let her run around. A couple hours later I remembered I should change her diaper and the thing was barely wet at all. Wow, this thing was a super soaker! The next time we used it, I tried it with no cover and it lasted a few hours without soaking through. Crazy. I had no idea what a great diaper this was. I'm sad we missed out on the early months but I don't think that could be helped since the diaper has so many layers, it's just too stiff and bulky for a tiny baby. It's great for larger babies and toddlers though. Ease of Use It is easy to use but I keep reading posts online about people instructing others to baby their Goodmamas. I don't have time for that. It was harder to figure out how to use it for my baby when she was small but things got better once she got older. Leak Prevention Awesome absorbency prevents leakage. Leg elastic is a little stiff but I've never had a problem with leakage. Comfort Well, once you get past a certain age, it's no longer thick and bulky. Absorbency Super absorbent.

Not worth the money or the hype!

For the price you pay for these you would think they are made of solid gold. I'll admit I succumbed to the hype and decided to try a few. Honestly I was disappointed. While they do come in a variety of really cute prints and colors aside from that they are nothing special. The material while silky and soft new gets crispy and rough after a few months of washing and the surged elastic part of the leg holes left red indentations in my children's thighs. Also the snaps were hard to get a good fit with (it was either too lose and gaped at the stomach area or too tight and the snaps pressed into their bellies and were uncomfortable (especially for stomach sleepers). They were also bulky especially between the legs and never seemed like a comfortable fit. They also took quite a bit of time to dry after washing. I like that they are made in the USA by moms working from home but some of the ones I got had stitching that was unraveling and didn't seem that high quality to me. Honestly save your money, you can get fitted diapers (with just as cute prints) that work better for a lot less.

These are the best-fitting, softest, most absorbent dipes ever!

The Goodmama One-Size Fitted Diaper is simply the best diaper ever! Whether or not you have used cloth diapers before, you should definitely give these a try! You will LOVE them! We use ours under wool, or sometimes fleece pants or soakers - but these are actually SO absorbent, most mamas I know say they can let their little one go coverless with these! The bamboo velour is about the softest thing you can put next to baby's skin, and is also organic, so that's a plus! They are just adorable, and the fit can't be beat! They are tiny bit bulkier on younger babies, but get trimmer as baby grows - my 13 month old looks adorable in his! Now, I didn't want to put this as an actual "con" against these diapers, but they are a bit pricey. The thing is, if you stop and add up what you would spend on cloth diapers when buying small, medium, and large - it works out the same, since your baby can wear this from about 10 pounds up to about 40 pounds! Totally worth it!! And if you use disposables and have been considering switching to cloth - please, please do! It's the best thing for both your baby and the environment! You don't wear paper underwear (filled with chemicals, etc.), so why should your baby have to?Thanks for reading my review! :o)

Goodmama Fitted Diaper is a Rip

We never had good experiences with Goodmamas compared to other fitteds we use. I mean aside from functionality, I am turned off by their business practices. They price their products way too high and have horrible customer service. The function of the diaper is subpar. They got soaked so fast when our baby wore them. With our other fitteds, if baby pees and there is no cover on, it does not leak out and feel soaking wet. But with these Goodmama fitteds, they can not go without a cover. I was once holding our baby with the fitted and no cover, and the pee went right through the diaper and all over me. That does not happen with our other fitteds, where I could leave her without a cover for some time and it would be awhile before the outside was damp. I will not buy any more, especially at their prices. I don't understand their appeal.

feeling like a goodmama!

These dipes are very absorbant, nice tight fit and cute to boot! They're pricey, but once you feel how soft and squishy they are you know why, and they last forever! These dipes ARE a fitted diaper, which means that they aren't leakproof, you WILL need a cover of some sort. I live in a hotter climate and during the summer we can "get away" with just wearing the dipe and a teeshirt, you just have to watch/know when you baby goes and change them before it has a chance to wick onto something (like furniture, clothing, etc). This is one of the only fitteds I have that doesn't feel soping wet after a toddler potty. It absorbs a TON. The biggest downside to me is that there are a range of snaps, but once your child gets a bit bigger, it leaves "male" snaps exposed on the skin. GM does selling hip snap covers to get around this though, which is nice. Overall, I love the look, feel and performance of Goodmama dipes and I feel like a good mama using them!

goodmamas are my favorite

goodmama diapers are definitely my favorite cloth diapers.  they are size adjustable and durable so they get a lot of use out of them and they end up paying for themselves very quickly.  the many snaps are perfect for quick and easy changes, and are far superior to velcro style pocket diapers and covers.  they are also very soft and abundantly padded without being too super huge like some.  perhaps the coolest thing about goodmamas is that they come in so many different patterns and colors.  it's a really surprisingly varied spread.  once we sytarted getting some it became a collection and we wanted more, which was cool because they work so well and last so long we could get a bunch and pass them down or trade them with other people.  we have had a couple goodmamas lose their elasticity after being washed alot.  however i'm pretty sure those goodmamas were used because we have gotten a lot that way.

Goodmama One-Size Fitted Diaper

Goodmama One-Size Fitted Diaper are all the rage in fitted, cloth diapers. When I first started using cloth diapers on my daughter I heard a lot of hype about Goodmama diapers. So I stalked the web site and finally purchased one. A Goodmama one-size bamboo velour diaper. When I received it I found that it was very soft plush. And it fit very well on my 4 month old. At first it wasn't as absorbent as they claim to be, but with more washes it did get much more absorbent. Later on I purchased a printed Goodmama (printed fabric over the bamboo velour), and I have to say my printed diaper was much, much more absorbent than the plain organic bamboo velour one. In fact, it was so absorbent that I would usually let my daughter use it without a cover. As much as I love this brand of diapers, I do think they are very over priced. There are many other, comparable one-size diapers that are just as good in quality and are just as cute looking as these.

Goodmamas are okay, not my favorite

I suppose I'm just not a fitteds person.  I kept reading about these and how great everyone thought they were.  They are so expensive and people were crazy for them.  I decided to buy a couple used GMs and try them out.  I don't really think they are for me.  While they do come in some great patterns, you don't end up seeing them at all because they need a cover.  Which to me is another minus.  I don't like having to put on multiple things on a squirming baby.  Give me a pocket and I'm good to go.  On the plus side they do seem to have a great resale market if you are meticulous and keep them in great condition.  Another minus was that they didn't seem as trim under clothes as I had been led to believe from other reviews I had read.  My daughters pants were tight around the diaper area and since she seems to have shorter legs going up a size isn't really an option unless I wanted to hem the pants.  Glad I tried them but also glad I didn't like them since I'm sure I would have been one of those people who had to have all the fun patterns!  I can't really speak to the absorbency since my DD isn't a heavy wetter and has yet to have many leaks.

Goodmama One-Size Fitted Diapers are the softest diapers`

3

I have mixed thoughts about the Goodmama One Size Fitted diapers.  I love that they are so super absorbant and soft.  I feel good about putting such a soft diaper on my baby and knowing that it is made out of organic products.  The diapers can be adjusted very easily for small babies as well as large babies, and they were very stretchy.  However, these diapers do require a cover, and when using a wool cover, my baby's bum was huge! I had to 'size up' in clothes to accomodate the diaper.  They seemed pretty bulky in my opinion.  Even when I used a super thin PUL cover, the diapers were still pretty bulky on baby.  For my larger baby, the snaps on the inside of the diaper would leave marks on her skin.  Although this did not seem to bother her, it did bother me a little.  For the price, I would opt to purchase an organic diaper that is All-In-One, so I don't have to purchase a separate cover.

Goodmama: great, but for the price maybe not

I started cloth diapering my children right around the time that the Goodmama brand was born.  Like many, I jumped on the opportunity to try a one-size diaper with such an innovative design, and I will say that it is an incredibly good one for continuity of fit throughout you baby's diapering years.  It is also hands-down the softest thing I have ever touched, so I don't doubt for a moment that my baby's bottom was spoiled silly in it.  However, I bought them back when they were quite a bit cheaper than they are now, and even then it was quite expensive for what I believe the diaper does.  It still requires a cover, which is extra cash, and eventually the softness fades and the diaper becomes very scratchy at the edges where the surging is.  They are beautiful diapers and very well-made, but I can't say that the prices they go for now are worth what you are getting.  There are equally good options for better prices out there.
