Ragweed is my most severe allergy trigger. The pills that I was taking had become ineffective. However, I did not want to go the route of the prescription strength. From the label these seemed to be what I needed for my multiple symptoms. Indeed I did get great relief within an hour. Effectiveness For a store brand allergy relief, I found these to be quite effective. I have to say that the 24 hour label is a bit of a stretch. I did have to take an extra dose when I was outside during ragweed season. However, these pills did treat my multi-symptom issues of itchy eyes, throat and sneezing. Ease of Use The tablets were nicely coated. They are a tad larger than the Chlortabs and Benedryl type tablets. However the coating did help them to go down easily. The 24 hour dosage is a bit of a misnomer. With it being ragweed season I did have to off label dose after being outside all day at work. Immediacy I took the dosage right at the first sign of my itchy throat and nose. Within the hour, my eyes felt better and the sneezing had stopped.

These pills are small, so in an emergency I have even taken one without a drink. The non-drowsy part is also a huge plus since it is hard to find allergy medicine that relieves you without adding the drowsiness part. So these are safe to use day or night, on the job or not. They come in a small package that is handy to have at work, home or in your purse. Effectiveness Really helps to alleviate all the irritating symptoms of allergies. Ease of Use Simple to take just like all allergy pills as they are small.

These are the ONLY allergy meds that work for me. I have tried EVERYTHING. Benadryl makes me sleepy, zirtec doesn't do anything for my specific allergies, allegra is not over the counter (doesn't work for me anyway) and the list goes on. I love the fact that you only have to take one pill a day. I noticed that when I take that first pill I do get a little sleepy, but if I have to take the pill everyday for seasonal allergies, then the sleepiness wears off after the third or forth use. I love that the pills are small. So if I have a food allergy I can just pop one in my mouth and swallow it without water - not adviseable but it works for me. Not all allergy medicines are created equal. Why Claritin works for me it may not work for you. I started purchasing the cheap generic version and it works just as well as the name brand Claritin. I would recommend that if you have allergies to try this medicine!

Loratadine is a great alternative to the way too highly priced Claritin. It is what you would call the generic form of the drug. Loratadine is the name of the active ingredient in Claritin, and when it is sold under this name, it is significantly cheaper. All you have to do is take one per day and you are set. Sometimes, I just use it as needed, and it also works wonders against all kinds of everyday allergens. It clears up itchiness, stuffed noses and coughs quickly. Some people have said that this drug causes drowsiness, but I haven't found that to be the ase for me or my family. We all live by Loratadine during the allergy season. You can even get the doctor to write a perscription for this drug and it will be free, so if you can do that, then I suggest you ask your doctor about this because it will save a lot of money. This is a great anti-histamine and i recommend it for anybody from children to the elderly. Get it today!

I've always had horrible, consistent allergies throughout my whole life. Seasonal, indoor, pets, etc. you name it! They seem to stick around year long.. I've tried many upon many types/brands of allergy medicines. Among the over-the-counter allergy medications available I think these Loratadine 24 Hour Allergy Relief Tablets tend to work best for me, at least in most cases. They're non-drowsy too, which is a big plus in my opinion. I know Benedryl works wonders for me, but unfortunately that medicine knocks me right out, so I can only take it at night. I'm glad I have an over-the-counter allergy relief medication I can take during the day, especially when I'm working, since my job is physical and I can't just sit down and rest when I'm tired. I usually buy mine at a local drug store, sometimes a local grocery store, either way, it works for me! I'm glad to have something I can depend on. If you are in need of an allergy medication that works and wont make you tired, give this one a try, I can't guarantee it'll work for everyone, but it definitely works great for me!

I use this product on a daily basis and have found it to be a lifesaver. I have a medical condition which causes me to have an infected sinus tract throughout my whole body not just in my nose. It is a very horrible condition which causes me to have sinus infections almost year round and those usually lead to bronchitis and eventually pneumonia. My doctor and I decided that taking one of these pills daily would help as they do help with drainage. And I faithfully take one daily. I prefer this brand as the Claritin brand is just too expensive. The results are fabulous. I also have my son who taking one per day as he always starts out with allergies and drainage which leads him to severe earaches and step throat. But we have found if he takes one of these pills daily we can many times head off the earaches and strep throat which saves him from so much pain and misery. Not to mention how much better his attendance in school is. We love this product and swear by it. We've had ZERO side effects from this pill.

i suffer everyday with pain, and with allergies. It seems to me that the "store brands" do not work as weel as "brand name" meds. I only use the store brands because the brand names are to expensive, and since i live on disability that's all i get.

I have tried many over the counter products!!! Loratadine provides all day and night relief from all my allergy symptoms.  Pollen, dust, dander and itchy watery eyes are no longer a problem when taking this product!

I used to have off and on allergy problems, so I started taking claritin for them. It was very expensive and gave me weird side effects like sleeplessness (I've been told it has since been reformulated) so I stopped.  For several years, I had on and off problems mostly with mold and seasonal allergies in years taht were particularly bad. When I had a year where I was having random problems, I was delighted to find the generic for a decent price and tried it.  It kept my mild seasonal allergies at bay for a few years. However, this past year was a bad year and I had to also take sinus medicine and Benedryl at night to control the symptoms.  It also does nothing to help with my allergy to my cat- just mild seasonal allergies.  Again, it does nothing to help with my allergy to my cat, so I will just have to suffer that one gladly and deal with teh benedryl hangover:-) So, I think if you were like me and didn't suffer a lot, and wanted a mild medication that is now inexpensive, this one can't be beat.

I have used Loratadine 24 hour allergy tablets for three years. One tablet completely removes my allergy symptoms of stuffy nose, sneezing and post nasal drip. It is cheaper than brand name products which are the same in content as loratadine tablets. The tablets do not make you feel drowsy at all and they are safe for me and my family, who are all allergy sufferers. I have sleep apnea an depend on Loratadine to keep my nose clear so that I can Use my CPAP at night, and breathe thru my nose. I foresee that I will be using Loratadine 24 hour tablets for the near and distant future, this product works!!
