People kept raving about how great an elliptical machine was for you and how I just had to get myself one. So I ended up and gave in to all of the hype and decided to buy one and add it to my home gym. The great thing I have found about an elliptical machine is that it is very low impact and is an easy work out to complete, it does not make you sore or hurt for days like others do, it is very easy on your body. That being said, I have found that it really did not do anything for my health and fitness, nothing changed and I was in no better shape after using it for an entire month than I had been before. I think that the low impact and ease of this workout also makes it far less effective on you overall, it does not get your heart rate up as high as you want so then you are not burning all of the calories and the fat that you want to be burning. I think this is a great option for someone who is just starting out and wants to gradually increase their momentum and workouts, but for someone who already does a lot you are just wasting your time and money on this.
