Here in this set are all of the knives that an average person needs for cooking and dinner time. I have owned my Ginsu set for over a year now and I use them almost daily. I am pleased to say that they are still as sharp as the first day of use! Comfort The handles are comfortable in the hand and the weight of the knife is good. I have never developed hand fatigue from excessive use and I do put a lot of hours into cooking. Performance Wow! These knives never get dull and I use them to cut everything from cardboard to tomatoes with. I need to add though that I have never washed them in a dishwasher, so I can't report as to their durability in a dishwasher. Durability I have cut just about everything with these knives and they have never gotten duller. The handles have also stayed shiny and blemish free. Design The size, shape and weight of the knives is just perfect for everyday use without having to worry about the knife slipping out of your hand or developing hand fatigue from excessive use.

Mu husband and I received this set for Christmas and I love them. Their best feature by far is the fact that all of the knives except for the Santoku knife are serrated and, thus, very effective. Comfort I have no complaints about the comfort of using these knives. They're very easy to grip and use with their long and heavy handles. Durability All of the knives seem to be very sturdy, heavy, and durable. The only exception might be scissors which have a plastic handle, but so far even they have held up well (especially seeing as how I use those most often in cutting up our small children's food several times a day). Design Really the only disappointment with this set has been the block. I'm not sure whether this is standard with these blocks or if we just got a fluke, but the bottom layer of knives (the steak knifes) are packed too tightly together as if they didn't make the block big enough to fit them all. It's an annoyance that we're willing to deal with, but it's an annoyance just the same.

These knives are extremely sharp and very sharp with style. The various knives that come with the set allows you to do any kitchen task that you need to do. The steak knives are extremely sharp and will cut any peice of meat. The pairing knife is easy to handle and slice with ease. The cutting shears are great for boning chicken and other meats. The value for these knives is extremely well and I wished that I had bought a few sets for gifts. The storage block is also sleek and the color contrast with the stainless steel finish matches well. The other knives in the set such as the carving knife, bread knife and pairing knife along with the others have all proven themselves. This item is one that every home should have. Comfort The design of the handle is great but could have been thicker or had no slip grip Performance These knives cut everything with ease and they are always sharp Durability They have been very durable and they have kept their finish well Design The design is okay but the handles should have a no slip grip to make it easier to hold.

I really love my Ginsu knife set and they knives are really sharp and you dont have to put much pressure into cutting a steak either. The other night I used my Ginsu knife and cut my steak with ease where as before it took great effort to cut my steaks. So I said goodbye to my other steak knives and Hello to my Ginsu steak knives for good.. They are truly amazing and wonderful

I recieved a set of Ginsu knives to review for my blog. I was eager to use them because good cutlery is costly, and we were in desperate need for a good set of knives. I chose Ginsu based on some product reviews, and the fact that their prices were mid-range. We have never placed any of the knives in the dishwasher, and yet they have all managed to get rust spots on them. This happened within the first two months of using them. Each time we use them, we hand wash them and dry them right away. We do not understand why a stainless steel product would rust in the way in which they have. It does not seem right. Also, the scissors are constantly getting stuck together and you have to use great force to open them to use them. Don't waste you money on this set.

i bought a great ginsu knife set in blue with the block about a year ago .i use this set for a lot of different task in the kitchen. anything  from peeling veggs to cutting meat.it has always been sharp from the first time i used it to the last time i used it. i liked it so much that i bought the same set as a gift for my mother and my mother n law .their sets are still sharp as well and they seem to really enjoy the set .it is one of four different block knife set that i have but it is used alot. i would recommend this set to everyone..

Lets just start off by saying my husband and I have bought our fair share of knives, and sharpeners over the years.  Our last knife block set was just okay (Chicago Cutlery).  This particular Ginsu knife block set was "won" you could say from a rewards program on my debit card.  My old knives were dull and not cutting very well so I took a chance with the GINSU brand and ordered it.  The knives are heavy weight with contoured handles and look great.  They cut thru just about anything (food, plastic, toys, paper, aluminun cans) with the ease of cutting butter.  I love the different size and widths of the knives.  There are many types of knives in this block, including kitchen scissors.  The block is very heavy, but tall so it does often fall forward.  That is really the only complaint I have with this set.  The knives do not fall out of the block when it falls forward, but still it is a negitive.  I think that the ginsu is a very trusted well known brand and would defiantally reccomend it to a friend.
