I purchased the Chikara 8-Piece Stainless-Steel Knife Set for my mother because she her previous knife set was made cheaply and was not very sharp anymore. I don't consider myself a knife expert by any means but I did plenty of research on finding a set that was both quality and affordable and this was the set which won me over. To be honest I was shocked how good these knives were considering how little I payed for them. These Japanese style knives are not only very sharp but very beautiful as well. The handles are very sturdy and the blades can cut through meats and other foods with very little effort. The scissors that come with the set are also quality. Our last scissors in our knife set couldn't cut anything while these scissors easily cut through bone and other difficult food objects. The knife block that you store the knives in is one of the prettier blocks that I saw from doing all my research. I would recommend this block set for anyone who likes working around the kitchen. I can't say if there are many other knife sets of this quality and price elsewhere. Overall these are the greatest knives my family has ever owned.

I think its a good idea because usaully knifes get peeled off if its buy a stove,or it breaks easily and its stainless so no dirty marks on it and you can pass it on and it will become the new thing out!

Prior to introduced to Ginsu i had a basic knife set.  With it i had a simple knife sharpner, it wasn't the best but, it did the job.  It worked horribly for bread though...Then ginsu came into my life!  I mean, wow!  The blades are so sharp!  I had no problem AT ALL cutting my produce and meats since.  My thick chicken breasts are sliced in half so easily and it looks so professional!  Steaks and deer meat, no problem.  Me and my buddies had some great 1" deer steak fillets thaks to ginsu.  I never knew i would have so much fun cutting up fruits and veggies.  If i want my strawberries thinly sliced over my icecream it gets done asap.  Bread!  Yes finally my freshly baked bread doesn't get ruined.  Now i have those perfect slices for the perfect sandwich.  I cuts good for bruschetta too.  I even found a bonus with ginsu thatnks to its superior sharpness.  I can design my produce into exquisite gourmet designs!  Orange curls for icecream, heart shaped watermelon bites. Thumbs up ginsu!

I Personally Like The Stainless Steel Ginsu knife set with the Bamboo block.For  one it is really sharp and isn't flimsy like some knifes.It dosn't rust.I also like how it comes with the siccors so I can trim the fat off most my meat.It could have been made a little smaller for me the block seems just a little bit to big and takes up to much space.But I like the fact it is made out of bamboo.
