Gerber Graduates Lil' Sticks

The Gerber Graduates Lil' Sticks Chicken and Carrot are great for babies just learning to eat solid foods. They are shaped like little wieners, but they have a softer consistency. When my daughter first started eating them, I would mash them up and feed them to her with a spoon. They were so easy to mash, I could do it was her spoon, and it took very little effort. They are made with chicken and carrots, so unlike hot dog wieners, they are a little healthier. Now that my daughter is better at eating, I cut them up into little pieces and let her pick them up with her fingers. I still don't think it's safe to give her a whole one because of the shape. They are super easy to chew up, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. I tasted one of them just to see what it was like, and they are pretty good. I wouldn't eat a whole jar of them, but it's pretty tasty considering it's baby food. One jar will last my daughter about 3 days. She eats just one or two a day for a snack, so they are worth the price.

Disgusting

Gerber always has very good ingredients, but these are awful. They are like a cold hot dog only worse. I bought these for my daughter when she first started biting off of things and she made a disgusted face with her first bite. I can't blame her. They smell and look disgusting. However, I have known some children that have liked them. I also think they could be a choking hazard.

I am a big fan of Gerber products. I have a young daughter and I go to Gerber over and brand because it is only the best for my daughter. I bought the Gerber graduates Lil' sticks chicken and carrot and I have to say, my stomach was very uneasy just looking at them. I am not a big fan of hot dogs and this is what they looked like. My daughter was very excited to try them. She liked them, but didn't love them. She ate them a few times and then was done with them. I will say that I am a worry wart when it comes to food that is easy to choke on and this product is one of them. I would say if your child doesn't have a lot of teeth or is used to eating soft foods, I would watch them closely when eating them or I would break them up in smaller bites so it will be easier to chew. The Gerber Graduates Lil' sticks have healthy ingredients in them and I know would be a good snack for your child. I am sure if your child is a big fan of hot dogs then they will sure like this product. Quality of Ingredients Very good ingredients in them. Safety I would watch your child closely. They could be a choking hazard.

My kids loved these when they were little. They were so easy to just pop in the diaper bag for a snack that didn't have to be refrigerated or heated. They enjoyed all the flavors. The portion size was just right. It's nice that it has a resealable lid. I love that it's in a jar too because they come in handy for projects.

Gerber Graduates Lil' Sticks have been a family favorite for years. I remember loving the Gerber meat sticks even as a child myself, so it's no surprise that I turn to them when I need a quick snack for my kids.  I usually buy the Gerber Graudates chicken & carrot flavored sticks. Neither one of my children are big fans of any meat other than chicken, so this is a safe choice for us. I love that I can open up a jar of these and both kids, who can be fairly picky eater, will gobble them up! They are fairly nutritious, and cheap, so it's a snack I buy often.  I also like that these come in small jars that don't need to be refrigerated until opened. While on vacation this summer, I was able to keep these in my car to feed the kids during our 20 hour road trip. I also stashed a jar in the diaper bag to take for a snack while we were at Disneyland.  My only complaints would be that the glass jar could break (I've never actually had that happened, but it would be nice if they came in plastic, just in case), and that the meat sticks can be a little tricky to get out of the jar if you don't have a fork handy. But all in all, this is a great product and I'm sure I'll be buying it for years to come!
