the george foreman is a pretty good grill

4

I am a busy mother of 3 and purchased this model, which is the second george foreman grill I have had.  The first one I gave away because I was not using it regularly.  When I decided to start watching my weight....again, I purchased this unit.  I love the sleek stainless steel and black design.  The function of it is pretty good.  I use it mostly for chicken but have also used it for hamburgers.  I usually use it when I am making my lunches for the week and am cooking only for me.  I find in cooking both the chicken and hamburgers it really crisps up the sides quite a bit more than I like. With the double sided grills you can set the food in their and leave it, however because it tends to get overly crispy I find myself flipping it several times and usually butterflying the chicken to get it done.  With that being said, I still definitely like the convienence of being able to cook my meals easily and quickly when I am cooking just for myself.

Great grill for more then one person.

This George Foreman grill is great for cooking for more then just yourself. I had previously had a smaller George Foreman grill which was great but I needed something a little bit bigger in size to make food for more then just myself and I picked this up. The size of it is great for multiple burgers or chicken breasts. It is fairly easy to clean. It fits nicely on my kitchen counters and is easy to store in my cabinets when not in use. This grill, like other George Foreman grills is very easy to use and cooks food very quickly and very well. The floating hinge is a nice touch to allow for the food to be grilled evenly. However like my previous George Foreman grill, sometimes the drip tray does not catch all the grease and it ends up on my counter tops. Overall this is a great grill.

A samwich crushing fizzle

We were given this as a wedding present and had high hopes after seeing it. Then it crushed our sandwiches. They are not absolutely flat but if you want to do sandwiches, the lid for this one is to heavy. There are many other great uses for this. You can make squashed sandwiches for many at the same time. You can cook meats for many at the same time and its cooks the meat really quick. Another great way of using this is with veggies. It cooks them well and they don't stick. Since we were gifted this, we have turned vegetarian. The best thing you can do with this one is bean burgers. Bean burgers are hard to form into patties. You just scoop them on here and let it squash. You may be able to do this with regular burgers too but I wouldn't know. I discovered the patty forming use after turning vegetarian. The other bad thing is cleaning. It is large and awkward. The trays aren't removable. Hold out for one with removable grates.

Love My George Foreman Grill!

This is my second George Foreman grill. We wore out our first grill and I really missed having one. I ordered the George Foreman contemporary grill. This grill is sliver in color and does look very contemporary. It has 80 square inches of cooking surface. While this grill is a bit smaller than our previous one. I can easily fit six burgers or 4 good size chicken breast on this grill. We have used our grill for all sorts of things. As I mentioned hamburgers and chicken breast in additon we have cooked bacon and quesadillas. You can cook so many things on this grill from meat to fish you can even grill veggies on this grill. The grease drains off into the the drip tray making your meals a bit healthier. This grill has a floating hinge meaning that whether your meat or polutry is thick or thin the grill will accomodate many different thicknesses. If you do have something very thin of course it will not grill on both sides at such as bacon, but I love the fact that I can drain off all that fat. This grill is also a wonderful panini maker. We actually own a panini maker and I love using my George better! We have even made grilled cheese on it. My only compliant about the grill is that it only has one temperature. I wish it had a variable temperature control so you could control the temperature better. I will note that I did recieve this George foreman grill to review and did not pay for it. However I love these grills and receiving it free did not cause me to write a favorable review. We love our George!

George Foreman Grill is Difficult To Clean

2

I have heard so many great reviews of George Foreman grills that I decided to buy one myself.  I found the George Foreman Contemporary Grill on a great sale a few years back, so I was anxious to try it out.  I have to say that I am extremely disappointed with it.  Whenever I grill chicken or burgers they always tend to get overcooked on the outside before they are thoroughly cooked on the inside.  Since there is no way to adjust the temperature I have ended up with a lot of meat that is tough on the outside.  It seems that only really thin meat would work well on the grill.  I do think the grill works great for quesadillas though.  It's nice to be able to cook them on both sides at the same time instead of having to flip them over.  I have found that the grill is also pretty difficult to clean.  After the first time I made burgers there was a bunch of stuff stuck on the grill.  The little scrapers that came with the grill didn't help much, and I had to scrub and scrub to get the grill clean.  In scrubbing so much some of the non-stick coating came off a little bit.  The grill just seems to be more trouble than it's worth, so it sits on top of my fridge gathering dust...

The bomb. I use it for everything

I am a single carer man who loves to grill.  I received the george forman grill as a gift.  WHEN I FIRST received it I was like.. thanks a grill (in my head of course), but have come to love it.  I use it to make everything from burgers to quasadillas to chicken to steak and skewers.  The only thing I can't use it for is pasta.  For a busy guy this was the best invention.  Its easy to use and easy to clean.  It also makes a quick healthy meal.  My girlfrined used to have one in college...It beats cup a soups.  For those of you who like camping, there is also a portable version.  I would give this product two thumbs up, who knew a former boxer could come up with such a great invention.  Since the holidays are coming up, keep this in mind as a gift.  They are a great price and usually on sale.  One for every type of person in the family.  They come in different colors too.  Min is the traditional white.  I would recommend black, for someone who uses it as much as me.
