another great product from foreman

4

Overall this product is similar to its smaller counterparts. It is great for cooking on a larger scale. The design is good. Take bit of adjustment to its large size. It still is excellent in it's performance of non-stick and clean up. Cooking food on this product is easy and in some ways better. As long as you have the countertop space this is great for draining fat away from your meal and not having a mess. Doesn't Stick It is exactly like any other Foremans in regards to it's non-stick performance. What makes it better than the gills is it's flat surface. Heat Distribution The food I cooked came out as if I were on a stovetop. What makes it better is that due to its large size you are able to cook more items all evenly. Design I like the overall design of the grill. The size and shape is perfect for cooking large portions and still being able to drain excess fat and grease away. What makes this design better than the smaller grills is that the area where the fat is trapped is less likely to spill.

Makes Cooking Easy

5

Before I purchased the George Foreman Electric Skillet, I was using a griddle to prepare breakfast for my family. Although the griddle allowed me to cook more than one thing at once, I did not like how it did not contain the grease from the food, the drip tray was defective, and I would often notice grease dripping down my cabinets onto the floor. The George Foreman Electric Skillet is the complete opposite of this griddle and has made cooking breakfast so much easier for me. My daughter and fiance love to have any combination of pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, and hash browns for breakfast. We are always in a hurry so I like to prepare everything at once to save us time. When I use this electric skillet, I can actually prepare different foods in different sections of it. While the pancakes are cooking, I can go to another section and fry the bacon and go to another section and fry an egg or two. All of the grease from cooking is contained in one area so I just have to pour it into the container that I store grease in. The surface of the skillet is nonstick which keeps me from having to do any heavy duty scrubbing when I clean it because it is a rare occasion to have food stick to it when I cook with it. The skillet gets hot really fast and you will feel the heat as soon as you plug it in. The heat distribution is the same all over the skillet so I know that everything will not cook too fast and burn while I am working with another item in the skillet.

Very solid product

4

Very well thought out product with many uses. The depth of the skillet allows for liquids to be cooked as opposed to just dry foods. This is a major advantage over other skillets. Very solid non stick coating makes it a very convenient device to own. Doesn't Stick This appliance works well and has a non stick cooking surface that allows your ingredients and foods to slimply slide off with ease. Ease of Handling The handles are heat resistant and can allow you to transport hot foods without any pain to your hands. Ease of Cleaning The non stick surface allows it to be easily cleaned by hand. It isn't worth the time and effort to clean by dishwasher because that is unnecessary, however if you must, you need to remove the probe. Design The depth of the skillet allows for a huge variety of foods to be cooked. What I like especially is that it allows soups and liquids. They won't spill because of the depth, which makes it very worth it. Glass lid allows you to see the food while cooking and there is a steam hole to let the air out. This can give you an insight into how far the cooking processes is.

This is the best electric skillet I have ever used

5

I give this skillet the highest marks based on the design of the skillet. It is twelve by fifteen inches making it perfect for 4 sandwiches or whatever you are cooking but the real selling point is the deepness of the skillet. Doesn't Stick The skillet has a triple coated nonstick surface - should hold up well and based on other George Foreman products I would say a winner. Heat Distribution The skillet is a 1500 watt unit with a variable temperature control Unit heats evenly and does not have hot/cold spots. Ease of Handling This skillet has heat resistant side handles that makes it easy to move a hot skillet safely and the stay cool knobs are a plus. Ease of Cleaning Cleanup is easy - the unit itself is warp proof and dishwasher safe (don't forget to remove the electric cord) Design The real selling point and what makes this skillet different is the deepness of the skillet itself. Most of the electric skillet I found were rather shallow and not good for anything with much liquid. This one is great The skillet has a triple-nonstick cooking surface and high walls. It has a variable temperature control and the unit itself Durability I base the durability of this skillet on other George Foreman products

Have you every wished for a kitchen appliance that could make more than one thing easy in the kitchen?  I did.  First I tried out a friend of mine's electric skillet and while I was thrilled with the pancake results, if I was going to purchase an electric skillet I wanted it to do so much more than just pancakes. My search let me to the **George Foreman SKG01GFB 12-by-15-Inch Electric Skillet with Glass Lid. ** **What I like about the George Foreman SKG01GFB 12-by-15-Inch Electric Skillet with Glass Lid:**  - non stick skillet  - high sides  - large surface - I can cook pancakes and sausage or bacon at the same time  - variety of uses: you can use it as a skillet for things like eggs or pancakes, or for entire dishes, or even to keep food warm for service.  - glass lid keeps food warm  - easy to clean  - handle bar plug and temperature gauge  **What I don't like about the George Foreman SKG01GFB 12-by-15-Inch Electric Skillet with Glass Lid:** - gets hot pretty fast  - adjust about 25 degrees (if it says 350 then use 325)  I like that with the **George Foreman SKG01GFB 12-by-15-Inch Electric Skillet with Glass Lid** I can cook whatever I want, whenever I want as well as keep it warm for service.  Now if only I could find something that would do so many more of my chores for me!   Performance Is there anything this skillet can't do? Durability Still going strong, no matter what I cook in it. Ease of Cleaning Wipe and go. No scrubbing needed. Ease of Use Plug it in, turn the dial. That's as easy as it gets.

George Foreman's Electric Skillet wins by Unanimous Decision

5

Electric skillets offer convenience, but the unfortunate fact is that most electric skillets are too shallow to make them very useful. You can cook pancakes, grilled cheese, hamburgers, and a handful of other things, but you cannot heat up anything with excessive liquid because it will spill over the side. One electric skillet that solves this problem is the **George Foreman Electric Skillet**, model SKG01GFB, an electric griddle for many cooking purposes. **Skillet Commentary:** This George Foreman Electric Skillet is medium in size, measuring about fifteen inches in length, twelve inches in width, and six inches in height, measured from the counter top to the top edge of the skillet. The grill is manufactured with a non- stick cooking surface, a die- cast base, and heat resistant side handles. It offers 1500 watts of power with variable temperature control. The skillet comes with a glass lid with a small, round handle in the center and a small, round opening for ventilation. The skillet is dishwasher safe as long as the probe is removed. I purchased my first George Foreman grill many years ago- one of the classic countertop grills; the "Lean, mean, fat reducing grilling machine." When I went shopping online one day for an electric skillet, George Foreman was one of the first names that came to mind. Thanks to my satisfaction with my other George Foreman grill, I felt very confident bringing another George Foreman appliance into my household. And my hunch proved correct, as the George Foreman Electric Skillet model SKG01GFB met and exceeded my expectations. Starting with the appearance, the grill offers a handsome black base with a clear glass lid. It isn't huge, but it isn't small, either. The size is just right and the skillet now occupies a permanent spot on my kitchen counter.  Performance- wise, this George Foreman Electric Skillet is, once again, even better than I expected. It heats up in about two to three minutes. By the time you gather up the food you wish to prepare, the skillet is heated and ready to go. The surface is completely non- stick and even though the base is dishwasher safe, I find I do not need to place it in the dishwasher because it wipes clean so easily. One of the main attractions of this electric skillet, like I aluded to above, is its depth. The edges on the inside are high, so you can use this electric skillet to prepare foods containing a good deal of lqiuid without any worry that it will spill over the side of the skillet as it cooks. Many electric skillets are flat in design, making them impractical for preparing certain foods. You don't need to worry about spillage with this George Foreman Electric Skillet. It holds food in place and with walls this high, it can be used for cooking many different things.  Yet another positive quality with this electric skillet is the glass lid. It allows you to see the food as it cooks and it makes for an attractive appearance. With most stove- top skillets, the lids are solid metal and that means you can't see the food as it cooks. You can see the food here, so you know what is taking place inside the skillet. And you do not need to worry that the lid will blow off because there is a small, round opening in the top for ventilation purposes.  **Bottom- Line Viewpoint:** George Foreman still knows a thing or two about boxing, but he is equally skilled when it comes to sales of small appliances. His George Foreman Electric Skillet model SKG01GFB is an excellent electric skillet that can be used to fry several foods at once or keep food warm, with high walls to hold foods in place. It offers very easy cleanup, is lightweight, and offers an attractive appearance. It has earned a permanent spot on my kitchen countertop due to its great quality and versatility.    Performance Heats evenly, quickly, perfectly Durability Built to last a good long time Ease of Cleaning Non stick so it wipes clean easily Ease of Use Just plug in, turn the dial, and start cooking

This George Foreman Electric Skillet is amazing

I live in a loft which is equipped with a sink, fridge, and toaster oven.  It was used as a theater room before I moved in, so there was no stove.  I have found that I dont need a stove with this little gem.  I am able to make absolutely anything and everything with it.  I can make stir fry, or even just grill some chicken.  It has a steaming option where you can use the rack to steam buns or veggies, or basically anything that tastes better steamed.  It is large, so it is easy to make an entire breakfast meal on it.  You can fry up the bacon while frying an egg on the other side, and it even has enough room to toast a tortilla to make a delicious breakfast burrito.  It is easy to clean by just removing the skillet from the base (which also makes it easy to just serve food directly out of the skillet on the table).  It has multiple temperature options ranging from warm at 100 degrees to sear at 400 degrees.  It heats up amazingly quick, and is way more efficient than a stove.
