I have sort of wavy hair and only use this product when I curl my hair. When I use this gel it seems to weigh my hair down and straightens my hair. It doesn't have a strong hold whatsover. This product will make your hair stick to everything until it dries. It does dry pretty fast; however you are better off just using hairspray. I like the fruit-y scent and that it does have vitamins in it, but it just doesn't work for me. This gel makes me want to wash my hair and start over which I don't have time for.

I absolutely love this curl defining gel and I'll explain why... I have very curly, kinkly, frizzy hair and when I use this gel it defines every coiled strand. Although my hair looks shorter than what it really is when I use this gel, the curls are so defined and styled. It's not sticky and I can re-use for days without having to rinse or wash my hair. For added moisture I use Garnier Fructis Leave In Conditioning Cream and then follow with this curl defining gel. I highly recommend this gel for wavy or curly hair.

My hair is naturally curly, dry and tough to manage. I've been on the prowl for outstanding curl defining products and came across this at a drugstore. I was out of the mousse I've been using and decided to try a spray gel since gel is so heavy and mousse is so drying. I purchased the Garnier Fructis Curl Shaping Spray Gel and went right into the store's bathroom to try it. I sprayed it all over, underneath and on the sides of my hair. I flattened down flyaways and scrunched my hair up just by pushing it up on each side with my hands for 2-3 seconds total. Afterwards my hair was definitely more defined, curled, less frizzy and had some control. It didn't look like a frizzed out poof ruined by humidity. The spray lasted for several hours. I used it again the following two days and it worked well. This time I towel dried my hair after a shower and sprayed the gel all over, flipping my hair to each side of my head to get the roots and underneath, and then a spritz all over the outside. This gel is much less heavy and sticky feeling than a regular gel, in fact it doesn't really feel sticky right after you put it on. It feels a little stickier after it dries but it's still touchable if you need to fix your hair. Anyway my curls were super curly, extra tight and more controled again and it lasted from 930am until I got home closer to 11pm. I did it again today and the hair was more loose but became curlier throughout the day and once again I ended up with tight defined ringlets, like my hair was when i was a little girl. I like this product and will continue using it, and most likely buy it again. I also added a little tresseme hair spray after using the gel, because I worried it would go flat.

I love this product!! But keep in mind - for best results add to wet hair let dry a minute and then dry the rest of the way with a diffuser. Scrunch out any crunchiness but don't over work hair. I use this on my daught and I. Have used this product for years and hope fructis keeps making. Nothing I have found does what this product can for my curls and I get so many compliments for it!!! Also they are great to put out coupons regularly!!

I have wavy hair, but it favors straight hair more than curly. I cannot curl my hair with a curling iron, or give it any sort of curls at all, unless I use Granier Fructis Style Curl Shaping Gel. It is a wonderful product, not sticky at all, and you spray it directly on your hair, not on your hands. It works on all types of hair, and doesn't leave you with any frizz. It smells fantastic, and doesn't leave your hair hard and crunchy like many products I've tried to. I have used this product for years and would recommend it to anyone who wants to have pretty curly hair that can't manage to do it. It leaves your hair looking beautiful, with a nice shine and people will compliment your hair when you use this!

I first used the Garnier Fructis Style Curl Shaping Spray Gel in high school and I was immediately hooked on this product because of its smell! I can't describe it, but it smells SO good! I didn't realize this for some time, but it smells just like the tanning salon I went to (for a week in high school). This scent lasts in your hair for a long time too! Yum! I have naturally slightly wavy hair, not curly. This product is definitely probably meant for people with curlier hair than me, but I just love the smell so much I'm on my third bottle. If I spray this in my hair, then twist my hair up to dry it helps me to create more waves that last longer than if I hadn't used this spray. What is great about this product is that it is a spray, so you don't get the gel on your hands. But it also doesn't leave your hair sticky or crunchy at all. I absolutely recommend this product for everyone! I'll say it one more time: It smells AMAZING!

Garnier Fructis style curl shaping spray gel really works great with my very curly hair!! You see products advertised that claim to keep the curliest and the frizziest hair in place and all I can say to that...and usually do when I see the ads! is, they haven't seen my hair yet!! I have extremely curly, frizzy, unruly hair and there isn't much out there that helps it. My daughter has curly hair too, not as crazy as mine, but curly and she blow dries and flat irons it and bought the curl shaping gel spray so I decided to try it too. My hair did not frizz up or anything all day long! I couldn't believe it! Even hour later when looking in a mirror in the mall, it was still very curly and in it's place instead of it's normal all over the place style! The one downfall is you have to use it sparingly because it does tend to make your hair quite stiff if you use too much. You'll have to do trial and errors to figure out the right amount for yourself, but this stuff really works!

The major downside to this product is that it is sticky.  Not only can it make your hair feel a little sticky/ crunchy, but I've had a lot of problems with this particular product with getting it to actually come out of the bottle.  It seems like the spray-hole gets clogged and the product won't come out.  If you can get the product to come out of the bottle, though, it is a good, effective product.  I have had better results when my hair-stylist friend has used it on my hair than when I've used it myself.  It's kind of a combination between a gel and a hair spray, since it's a spray gel.  It has a nice smell.  It is best to use on wet hair, and best to use when you want an extremely curly,"wet" look.  It's a nice spray to use when you are looking for a fancier, more formal style.  You might still want to put a little hair spray on afterwards, but you won't need too much.  But I wouldn't recommend it because of the clogging issue.

I have been using Garnier Fructis Style Curl Shaping Spray Gel-Curl Defining for years. I have thick, curly hair so I need a product that will shape and hold my curls all day long. A good and bad aspect of this product is that it is a spray. Sometimes I would rather apply gel with my hands but other times, the spray is so convenient. When the gel gets low it gets very difficult to spray though. Garnier Fructis Style Curl Shaping Spray Gel has a great smell. It does not leave my hair crunchy or greasy. I apply the gel after I towel dry my hair after a shower, then I let my hair air dry. I find myself having to spray a lot of this gel to make sure it covers all my thick hair. I love Garnier Frutis brand products, and this product does not disappoint me. The price is not bad and sometimes the bottle will come attached with a trial size product. All in all, I like this hair gel a lot. I don't know if it will help straight hair curl, but it is great with my curly hair.
