Great for gamers!

Gamefly is basically Netflix, but you can rent video games as well. You pay a subscription of around $16 and you can rent unlimited movies or games during the month, but only one disc is allowed out at a time. We wasted a lot of money buying video games and deciding that we didn't like playing the game. But now we pay $16 and if we decide we hated the game we send it back and get a new one. So instead of paying and wasting $60, we only waste $16 in the process of deciding if we like the game or not. We love the idea that if we did decide that we like and want to buy the game, we can buy and keep that game at a discounted price! I highly recommend all video game lovers to try and buy a subscription to Gamefly.

Rent games for cheap.

New video game systems have a lot of new an different games coming out all of the time, and these games are very expensive. Gamefly.com has made it to where I can try every game that I want for one low monthly price and save myself a lot of money. I would buy a game before and end up hating it, but you can't ever return video games so you were stuck with it and out a lot of money. With this I get to have a thing called a game-q where I am able to search for games and put them into it if I want to try them. They then send me a game from the list so that I can try it at home. I can keep the game for as long or as little amount of time as I want. This is awesome and makes it so nice to be able to try so many different games and if I really love one I can even keep it and pay a discounted price for it. Shipping is always free for these games, it is even pre paid for you to be able to send the game back to them. This is easy to use and the best selection of video games out there.

Not Great Deal

I recently started using Gamefly for game rentals, starting with a free trial and then moving to a $15 per month account that gave one game at a time. I used it for awhile, but it wasn't as good of a deal as I hoped for. I found myself paying for some months where I just didn't spend enough time playing games to make it worth the time. Product Selection Gamefly does offer a wide variety of games on a wide variety of platforms. I was renting Xbox 360 games, and it was nice to try a few games (such as Lego games) that I was considering buying but wanted to try first. Product Pricing $15 per month wouldn't be bad for someone who played games nonstop but didn't want to buy a lot, but for me personally, I do not play often enough to justify the cost. Shipping and Returns Gamefly's shipping policy is as good as it gets. They offer free shipping and returns on all games. With my single game account, I would order a game, have it sent to me, and when I was finished playing, I would send it back, and they would send the next one that I ordered. There was usually only a two-to-three day turnaround from when I sent one game back until I received the next one, which is pretty good for them coming out of Seattle and to me in central Utah.

Rent any game for a low price each month

When it comes to video games, I have always been a big kid at heart. Gamefly.com is perfect for me because I can try many games before I buy them. I have been a member for over two years and I love it. I started off with a free trial, after that my membership automatically continued. Here's how it works: I pay a monthly fee, pick out the games I want to have shipped to my home, play them and if I want to keep them I can buy them if not, I can send them back to gamefly.com in order to choose more games to play. I can keep them as long as I want. They even have a game list preselected by me that are shipped out one by one after other games are returned. It is very similar to Netflix, but for games. Also, as a member I receive discounts and deals with gamefly.com rewards. This has been one of the best investments I have ever made and will continue to be a member as long as the price doesn't go up. Ease of Use Very easy to use and fun to navigate through games. Product Selection Any game you are looking for, I am sure you will find it. Product Pricing If I want to buy games, it may be costly but for renting the games it is a low monthly fee.

Nice service

I tried a free 30 day trial at Gamefly.com because we have a Wii, Wii U and a DS XL at home. My younger son loves to play video games but sometimes I am disappointed when I spend the money for the games and he doesn't play them very often or for long because they are not as fun as he thinks they look to be. I thought I would try out Gamefly service since it was free to try for a month and we could try out new or slightly newer video games and then if we liked them buy them ourselves. The service was easy to sign up for and the website was easy to navigate and pick our selections. I was a bit discouraged you could only try one game at a time for the price, but there wasn't a time frame to use the games once you received it so that was nice. I liked that it only took a few days, maybe three at the most from the time I put a game into the mailbox to get another game we had in que to try. I really liked that they always sent you an email confirming that they received the games you had sent back as well. At the end of the monthly trial there was a game that was sent to us to try that was on our que but I did not think it was worth paying for the service as there wasn't that many games that my son was interested in for the Wii U yet on Gamefly's site. I cancelled the service and they sent me a friendly email that the game I received the same day I cancelled was to be returned within 10 days or they would charge me for a month for the service. I thought this was very fair of them and returned the game the next day. I did not get charged as the game made it to them a few days later and an email confirmation was sent saying they received the game which put my mind at ease. I would recommend Gamefly completely for serious gamers, but perhaps not someone who is just looking to rent a few games for younger children here and there. All and all great service on their part! Ease of Use I had no issues signing up for a free trial and selecting the games we wanted to try. No problems at all getting the games in the mail and returning them in their envelopes they came in. Product Selection I did not think they had a lot of selection for younger kids for the wii u games. Product Pricing If you are looking to rent one or maybe two games a week, it may be cheaper going for redbox or something like that. If you are a more serious gamer or have multiple devices to use I think it is worth the money to use Gamefly instead. Customer Service I did not have to call them or deal with their customer service. To me that is a 10 in itself because most times there is always something wrong with your billing or when you cancel a service. I had no issues what so ever. Shipping and Returns I thought their shipping time for the games was reasonable, and I loved that they send you an email each time they ship a new game to you and they received a game sent back to them confirming they received it.

It's like Netflix but for Games

4

Gamefly is a video game by-mail service. It's similar to Netflix but it's solely for video games. On their website, you select the video games you want to rent and they're added to your queue. The first available game in your queue is shipped out and you'll probably receive it in 1-2 days. You can rearrange your queue if needed. They give you the option to keep the game permanently if you want for a specified amount. Otherwise, you return the game and get your next one shipped out when they receive it. Like Netflix, return shipping is free and you can hold on to the game for as long as you want. It's a monthly service fee and pricing is based on how many discs you want out at a time. Their video game selection is very extensive but new releases will generally have a very long wait. You also can purchase games directly from the site: new or used. The pricing on some of their used games can be very good at times. My main issue with Gamefly is the pricing and the monthly fee may be too much for some to bite. However, there really isn't an alternative to their service. You can rent video games from a public library, but selection is usually sparse. Redbox also offers rentals but you have to return the game at a specified time. If you play a lot of video games, then Gamefly would be a viable and possibly money saving option.

Gamefly - An innovation! as long as you don't mind waiting!

4

I was a member of Gamefly for many months. My children, who like most kids of their age, loved to try new games, particularly ones that had been recommended by their friends. We had a long list of games that they were wanting to try, each in order of preference and at the very top of the list was the most recently released games. I noted over the months that we were never sent the most recently released games, but rather games which were perhaps 7th or 8th on our list - I should imagine that the most popular games were already out being used by other gamer addicts. Secondly, we always seemed to be waiting an endless amount of time for a new game to arrive. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of Gamefly in itself. It is totally innovative and my kids, 6 and 8 then, who had not played many types of games before trying Gamefly, had suddenly become totally proficient at chosing their own games, knowing without any doubt which ones they would like. This is so much better than spending $60 at the store only to find the game is not right for one reason or another. All things considered, if you're not sure which games you might like and you don't mind waiting, this game rental site is for you. On the occasion that we really liked a game, we bought it from Gamefly at a drastically reduced price.

Quick and easy service, but not a good value for most

4

I recently signed up for a free one month trial with GameFly.com, just to test the service out. The sign up process was easy enough, though they do put a temporary hold on a one month fee in your account, which I find annoying and unnecessary. The site required that I add three games to my 'que' before shipping the first game, which I believe is so that you are unable to cancel unless you remove those extra games before the first shipped game is returned.. but what do I know. The game I chose to receive first was fairly new, but they did have it in stock and it arrived within a few days. I kept it around a week, plenty of time for me to get a feel for the game, and plenty of time for a serious gamer to finish most available campaigns or features. They provide a envelope for the game to be shipped back for free, and the process is very simple and easy. I removed the extra games from my que, waited a few days, then canceled my free trial online without any problems. I received an email confirming my cancellation, as well as an email a few days later confirming that the game had been returned. The process was a little more complicated than most free trials, but it all worked out well. So why did I cancel? The service costs $16.95 a month. The fairly new game I ordered through the trial doesn't cost much more than that through online retailers. The only way I could see the service being valuable is if you were someone that just had to have the brand new games as soon as they came out, but never kept them afterwards, therefore lost money when you resold them. It still seems as though you would have to go through a few games a month to make up that loss, though. We generally wait for games to lower in price after coming out, and unless it is a total flop, we keep them around, so the service is of very little value to our situation.

Great Service to play some fun title games.

Gamefly is a very good game service to enjoy games by renting them or just try to them out to see if you would like to purchase the game in the future. You can sign up online and once you reach their page they give you the option to start off with the one month free trial introductory offer which I believe is a great offer. If you dont like it you can cancel it but it has to be before the the one month trial is up. With the one month free trial you are able to have one game deliver to your home. After the month is up you can choose from either having one game delivered to your house at a time or two. For the one game out at a time the charge is 15.95 a month and for the two games out at a time it is 22.95. They have a wide variety of games to choose from and they also have games for the new console systems like Playstation 4 and Xbox one. They also give you the option to buy the game from them if you enjoy it alot. If you want to enjoy playing videos games you should give it a try, you have nothing to lose after all you get a one month free trial.

Play as many games as you want and never have a late fee.

I play a lot of video games, I would prefer to rent instead of buy because a lot of times I end up not liking the game I've bought. Since I just got the new Xbox One I thought it would be a great idea to sign up for Game Fly. Game Fly is great because you can rent any game you want, whenever you want without having to wait for it. You can keep them as long as you want to, and you only have to pay $22.95 a month. They don't even give you a limit of how many games you can rent. If you like a game and want to keep it, you can buy it at a discounted price. Game Fly has games for every gaming console you can think of like Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation, Wii, and more. You can even download the Game Fly app for your IPhone and play games on there as well. Game Fly is completely worth it to me. It's inexpensive considering buying a game brand new nowadays is about $50, and I can play as many games as I want for only $22.95. It's especially great because there's no where around me that you can rent games anymore besides Redbox and they only have a few choices. Game Fly ships games out to me really fast as well. I usually get them within two days, so I barely have to wait at all to play them. If you're a gamer and don't want to buy a video game every time a new one comes out, I would definitely recommend to at least try out the free trial and see if you like it. I think it's completely worth the money, and ended up saving me a lot of money as well.
