This product is only three years old and the ice maker does not work, and also above the freezer compartment, in the actual refrigerator, water stands in there somehow and every few months it leaks all over the floor. It will cost very much to fix the problem Please reconsider this beautiful piece of junk!

We love our GE Profile french door fridge! - The integrated ice and water are great, and the ice makes doesn't take up too much space.   - There is an alarm on the door, for when the kids don't quite get it closed all the way. - The shelves are very adjustable - one slides in/out, and another can flip up to give you more vertical space. - The full-width drawer holds even my biggest platter! - The freezer has a large main storage area, and a smaller top drawer that slides out.  There is even a slot towards the front of the drawer for your frozen pizza.

We purchased a 10 year old home and decided to renovate the kitchen.  We were pleased with  the quality of GE products in our previous home and decided to have them installed in our new home to replace our Whirlpool Gold appliances.  We purchased a total of 6 GE kitchen appliance products which included the GE Profile Refrigerator - Model: PFSS9KYASS.  This refrigerator provides an abundance of refrigerator and freezer space and is perfect for our family of five, however, even the convenience of having this space would not persuade me to purchase this refrigerator again.  The compressor makes a loud, high pitch pinging sound which is irritating and annoying.  I have had a GE Service Repair Technician look at the refrigerator twice and both times he has confirmed that the compressor sound is normal and nothing needs to be adjusted or replaced.  Our 2001 Whirlpool Gold Refrigerator was "Whisper Quiet."  Do not seduced by the interior size or beauty of this refrigerator.  Beware . . . It's a lemon.  If you have the means to purchase "Quality" - DO NOT choose this GE Refrigerator.

My husband and I just bought a new GE refrigerator with a bottom freezer and French doors. What a fantastic refrigerator! There's always room to put away all the groceries, store leftovers and even put a full cookie sheet inside. The bottom freezer works great too. It keeps things really frozen and I love the slide out top shelf for smaller items. All of the shelves are adjustable which makes it easy to fit even gallon jugs of milk or tall beverage bottles. The French doors have lots of storage space as well. I fit all of my condiments and salad dressings on one door. I think my favorite feature is the ice and water in the door. It's so convenient to get a class of cold, filtered water and add either crushed or cubed ice. My iced tea never tasted so good!
