GE's 8000 BTU room air conditioner is one of the best I've ever used.  Have purchased others in the past and must say this one far out weighs the others hands down.  The energy saver is always on and I keep it set at 78 constantly; have had no problems with it cooling a 12x30 ft. bldg. thermostatically controled with remote were must for me and as the saying goes, "set it and forget it".  The quietness of the unit was important for me as well; the only feature I don't like is the fact that you can't adjust the air flow as randomly as with other units, other than that its "great".
