this dishwasher is an average dishwasher, it cleans the dishes but like most dishwashers i have had over my 20 years of having dishwashers they do not dry very good. they say to add the liquid to help streaks and help with the drying but i have added this and i still don't think they dry like they should. it is not just the ge brand i have had other brands and have had the same problem especially with plastic items. out of all the  dishwashers i have had over the years they all seem to clean well depending on the cleaning agent you use but after awhile that seems to go down hill, i have found that you need to rinse your dishes if you are not going to be washing or running the dishwasher that same day. the controls seem to be easy enough to understand and run but to get a good wash you need to use hot water and run on the heavy cycle. i like the look of the front of the dishwasher and it blends in with my kitchen as i have other ge appliances.

We bought a new house in 2009 and it had a basic stock dishwasher in it which just didnt work for us at all. We bought the new GE dishwasher and had it installed within 1 week of moving into the house. We love our new dishwasher and it gets put to the test everyday, I usually wash 2-3 loads each day. I have 3 children and cook a very homemade menu so plenty of dirty dishes, pots and pans, etc. My only complaint on the dishwasher is that one of the buttons peeled off and now is missing and it doesnt look very pretty. I am not sure what happened or if one of the kids tried peeling the button but it did come off completely with no way to reattach it. I am pleased with the quality of how the dishwasher cleans my dishes and it does dry them very well. The bottom rack has plenty of room for tall pots and I am able to fit my large plastic cutting boards in there as well. Overall it has been a great dishwasher and I am pleased.

I purchased this product in October it is great.  Normally I don't like to use dishwashers because they don't clean well and leave residue, plus the noise.  This one is quite and loads well.  There is space for all the dishes without having to over stack, and once the cycle is done my dishes were clean  no residue.  Sometimes dishwashers leave water in the bottom and as of today none has been left.  I recommend you rinse all the food off your dishes before loading just to ensure you keep your machine running properly.  I have six kids and we go through a ton of dishes I highly recommend this product I simply love it and my oldest kids are glad they don't have to get fused at anymore about half washed dish's.  Even though I love my new dishwasher I still hand wash my pots and pans.  I have tried them in the dishwasher and it does a fine job, but I prefer to hand wash them and immediately hand dry them and put them away.

This GE Dishwasher works really well if you invest in high quality dishwasher detergent, otherwise it leaves unwanted residues on all of your dishes. Pre-rinsing dishes is also a must otherwise you again have food particles adhering to all of your dishes. I have had this dishwasher for two years now replacing another GE dishwasher that was original to my house which was built in 1992. Sixteen years is pretty great appliance longevity and when it finally stopped working, it was the motor that eventually gave out (totally replaceable, but it turned out  to cost considerably less to replace the unit than get a new motor). This dishwasher is not the quietest, if you want a quieter dishwashing machine you are going to have to spend considerably more money, but it is definitely a great value dishwasher. The dishwasher is also not super energy or water efficient, but again it is a low cost washer. Great value over all.

We bought this dishwasher to replace our broken, bottom of the line builder's dishwasher.  We were specifically looking for a washer that would remove all food residue and work quietly.  We selected this one based on the salesman's recommendation.  We haven't been disappointed.  This machine cleans thoroughly, even when overloaded.  It isn't near silent, but the noise is tolerable, especially when compared to our old one.  My only complaint would be that it doesn't dry thoroughly, but otherwise and incredible dishwasher.

I love my GE built-in dishwasher. Being busy changing diapers and cleaning toddler messes,I don't have time to stand around and hand wash dishes. I couldn't be happier with the level of cleaning from my dishwasher. i am a big neat freak and used to prewash my dishes before we got the dishwasher, but now i don't have to.   I can put plates with dried on ketchup, mustard, or any sauce on them in and they come out clean, which is not the morm with most washers. it has taken some time to get used to not having to soak my cups and plates before loading, but it is a change worth getting used to. the jets are very srong and will tip over some cups if the top rack is not full. you should be mindful of silverware in the holder, if the area that needs to be cleaned is not placed in bottom of basket you may have a few bits left on them. i does make a good bit of noise but can be ignored. We've had our dishwasher for over a year now and have yet to have any problems. all in all a good dishwasher for the price.

I love this dishwasher it is the best one I have ever owned. My two kids were always bad about putting the dishes in th washer without cleaning them before hand. It used to take hours to finish dinner time dishes. The kids would put them in the sink and I would scrub for hours to get all the greasy nasty stuff off the plate. I tried different detergents thinking that it will help get th dishes clean. Dawn helps but still takes a lot of time scrubbing. I just don't have the time and I enjoyed having more time with my kids. Now that we have gotten our new dishwasher we have made up for all the nighs of scrubbing both of my boys just throw the dishes into the spacious washer and put in our detergent and set it for a full wash and the dishes come out looking as if I had hand washed them. This is a great buy for all single parents out there who like having time to spend with their loved ones. Don't pass this up it is great.
