This is a good dishwasher if you don't have a large volume of dishes every day or if you're just looking for something that gets the job done without taking up too much space or has too many frills. It is really easy to load and it handles a decent volume (my family of three uses it once a day most of the time, and that's generally enough). It does a pretty great job cleaning most messes, which is great since I have a small child who makes a whole lot of those! It may not be a good fit if you need a bigger dishwasher or one that cleans especially tough stains, but if you just need something standard, this can be a really good choice. It can be a little loud, but the cycle isn't too long, so thankfully you don't have to listen to it for too much time. Overall, I'd recommend this dishwasher to most people.

Like any product, there are positive and negative aspects to this dishwasher. I should preface by admitting that this is not the dishwasher I would have chosen to buy for myself - it came with the fairly new (3 years old) house that we purchased and it is good enough to keep and not replace "just because" However, there are a few things that I think could be better (or at least, that I would prefer) One - I would have liked a machine with hidden buttons. The buttons on this dish washer are front facing and the lights are enticing to the kids to play with. There is a lock button (hold down the dry button for three seconds to turn lock on or off) that they have not figured out yet, luckily! Two - We typically run the machine every night. Every once in a while it is empty enough that we run it every other day. At least twice a week, there are some items that come out still slightly dirty and need to be washed by hand (usually cutlery, occasionally plates) This is usually when it is filled to capacity, but not overfilled by any stretch. Three - some of the rubber sealing around the door is a little loose. It has not started to leak (yet) but I do have to make sure it's in place before I start the dish washer. There is one GREAT advantage to this machine- it is the quietest dish washer I have ever owned. We live in a fairly open concept house and we can easily still watch television at a reasonably low sound in the evening with the dish washer running in the background. Run time on the normal cycle is just under 2 hours. I can't really say if this is good or not compared to other machines.

In all honesty, this is not one of GE's better appliances. I bought a brand new home with all GE kitchen appliances included and I am very satisfied with all of them except for the dishwasher. This machine is a fair size and has a sleek appearance. It is difficult to keep clean on the outside because it shows fingerprints very easily and I have a 16 month old running around and he likes to touch everything. The cons outweigh the cons with this one. The noise level is ridiculous. You can hear it throughout the whole house when it is running and it makes it very difficult to watch television because the noise takes over. Another downside is that it is very time-consuming using this device. First, you have to basically wash the dishes. Then, you have to put them in the dishwasher strategically because there is not a whole lot of space for the dishes. Then, you have to pour in the cleaning solutions and after you start it, it takes a good 3.5-4 hours for it to stop running. After you open the door, you will be disappointed, as you had the "heated dry" on but the dishes are still covered in water. I'd highly recommend another dishwasher if you do not want to get frustrated.

I trust the GE brand and that seems to be the brand I go to first, but this dishwasher is not a good option if your looking to buy a dishwasher. It is a very loud dishwasher and that is just the beginning of the problems I have with it. The overall look is not bad. It goes with all of my other appliances, but that is probably the only good thing I can say about this GE dishwasher. I have an issue with the fact that it does not dry the dishes when it is done. I have to towel dry all of my dishes. I feel like I might as well hand wash them if I am going to have to hand dry them. Plus, my dishes are not always clean when I take them out. I di rinse them before I put them in so that is not the problem. Also, they are extremely hot when it is done cleaning the dishes, so you need to wait at least an hour before you try to take the dishes out. I would not recommend this dishwasher to anyone. I would still recommend the GE brand, but I would recommend that you do research before buying a dishwasher. I now know for next time. Noise Level Very loud. Cleaning Time Seems to take longer than any dishwasher I have had in the past. Loading Flexibility This is not too bad.

We bought a condo as a new construction and this dishwasher came with the apartment. So, price was not a factor in this review. This dishwasher is quiet and does it job nicely. However it is not build sturdily. We had this machine for over 10 years now and the cover started to fall out. It was because the screws on the side was loosen, and it took us a while to figure it out. The inside of the dishwasher can hold about 2-3 days worth of dirty dishes. It wasn't the best and not the worst either. It gets the job done for daily wash. But you really need to invest in a good dishwasher detergent for heavier duty cleaning (like oven baked pans, crust...etc). You also have to be careful to not load any larger object (like a large baking sheet) that will block the 'fan' in the middle, otherwise, this 'fan' thing will not be able to rotate. If I had to spend money on this one, I probably would not purchase this brand and go with something better.

I bought this dishwasher as part of a GE package of kitchen appliances and have had it about one year. I am very satisfied with the dishwasher and have not had any problems with it or have had to call for any kind of repairs. It is a great deal at the right price. Noise Level Not extremely loud, but I have seen/heard dishwashers that are much quieter, you will know it is on, but will forget about it after its been on for a while. I do wish it was a little more quiet though. Cleaning Time Cleaning time varies on the cycle that you choose, but overall a normal wash cycle is not too long, I'd say about 40 mins or so. Loading Flexibility Good flexibility is available when loading your dishes. I just wish that it was a tiny bit bigger inside, I feel like I am doing loads of dishes more frequently than I would like, but keep in mind that i have two children under the age of 4, so we do go through a lot of dishes in a short amount of time! Performance Cleaning is good, no complaints in the overall performance part of this dishwasher. Design THe design is good. The dishwasher looks good, not cheap. Controls are easy to understand and manage. And I like that it has child locks so you can prevent your children from messing with those tempting buttons on the front! Also, the black color on top is a nice contrast to the stainless steel bottom. Durability Has been very durable for us in the past year with two small children. I do not have major concerns about the durability but the racks inside are not super heavy.

This is your basic generic contractor puts in generic house dishwasher. It came in our house as part of the package. We had a house previously that had a bosch with stainless steel inside... and I didn't think it was so special, but now I realize that it was a better machine. This one does the job, but I have to always be cleaning the mold off the edges where heat seeps to the outside. It is not a big deal, but annoying. It cleans dishes fine, and it good for the price.

I pre-wash my dishes before I ran them through the dishwasher and they turned out horrible. I tried several different detergents and they all not only left spots but turned my pots and pans stained with a black film that I cannot get off. The only thing I use it for now is to drain my hand washed dishes. Cleaning Time This product doesn't clean. Performance Horrible. It ruined several of my pots and pans.

this is a great diswasher.  we built our home last winter and this is the one we chose.  it is very quiet and efficient.  i like to put it on a timer to wash overnight.  even when i run it during the day, i hardly hear anything.  i like the exterior.  it is easy to keep clean and looks nice in my kitchen.  i can load anything in here and it gets clean.  even when i put top rack only items in the bottom, they seem to be fine.  it is great for sanitizing my jars for canning and sanitizing my baby utencils.  our kitchen has all ge appliances, and they all match.  i gives a nice look to our home.  the controls are on the outside, which i don't mind.  others seem to like the "no controls" exterior, but it doesn't matter to me.  i think it is pretty, quiet and a great value for the money.  i don'y spend a lot on my appliances, and this was no exception.  can't go wrong with a GE.  worth the money everytime.
