GE appliances are generally solid, reasonably priced machines, and this range is no exception. While it is not the top of the line, it works well, and it looks nice. Temperature Control Gas ranges in general are great for temperature control. Unlike electric heat, you can control the height of the flame very specifically, so the range adjusts to your preferences. Heat Distribution This is not particular to this stove, but particular to gas stoves in general. I very much prefer gas heat for heat distribution. Durability GE appliances last long, and with very few durability issues, in my personal experience. Design Burners are well spaced, and knobs in the front of the range like they are here are easier to work with when you have large pots on the stove. I do a lot of canning, so the stovetop gets filled with pots and pans, and it is much easier to reach the knobs when they are in front. Ease of Cleaning Flat top ranges are easiest to clean, but the grates come off well enough for cleaning.
