I have been wanting to upgrade my camera for awhile but didnt want to pay the crazy high price of a DSLR. My mother in law had recommended this camera as she has it but only with the 24x zoom. I figured what the heck...lets give it a try. I have to say that I could NOT be more happier. the picture quality is amazing! I get crisp clear shots no matter how far I am zooming in. I love that it has many different settings so that I get the best photo out of any scenario that I am in without the hassle of figuring out which shutter speed to use and such. Ever since I have gotten this camera in my hands I could NOT put it down. No matter if I am taking a still shot or an action shot they always come out great. I could not of asked for a better camera. Image Quality The images come out crisp and clear. They have different settings that you can choose from to help enhance the quality and image of your photos so that you get the best picture every time. Performance Overall performance is great. The only thing I would recommend is that you get a grade 10 memory card. It will save your photos faster so that you can not miss that great shot. Ease of Use Nice an easy to use. You can use the auto setting that will automatically choose the best setting for you. There are also additional settings that you can save so that you can just turn the dial and be ready to take some photos! Durability Its durable! I accidentally knocked it off a restaurant table with my elbow. It hit the floor pretty hard and is still in perfect condition. Battery Life I can take about 300-500 photos with rechargeable batteries. It depends on the settings that is being used, if the flash is being used, etc. Portability Nice and easy to carry. Fits nicely into the case that came along with it. It is light to carry around the neck too

Having used this Fujifilm FinePix F30 digital camera off and on for two years, I can wholeheartedly say it is a fantastic picture taker. It has amazing ability to capture great shots in various lighting. This camera is perfect for people who want good photos at night time or inside. It expertly works at high ISO speeds. The low light performance and color therein are in a class by itself. Though it would be nice to have at least more than just three times zoom and a zooming option during video record, the picture quality that comes out of this compact digital camera more than compensates. Another really great quality about the Fujifilm FinePix F30 digital camera is its battery life. You can go off on vacation for a whole week, take pictures practically every single day, and still not need to use the charger. That is pretty impressive. Still there are a few criticisms. First, the moving lens: the FinePix F30 lens cap can be sensitive to dust, hair, lint. Second, the view screen picks up finger prints a bit too readily. Third, and perhaps the only real nagging issue, is this Fuji digital camera exclusively requires the use of xD memory cards. Maybe the xD cards are more sophisticated, better quality and that's why pictures come out so great. But it severely limits the camera and taxes the household budget, because the xD are more expensive and harder to find than SD cards (which come in huge memory sizes and you can get at any drug store or super market). Even if you want a larger size memory card you can't get one for the Fuji F30. Apparently the highest capacity xD memory card you can find now is a measly two giga byte. That's fine for stills but simply not enough if you're trying to record a good length of video besides pictures. It still works very well in that limited capacity, and we have been happy with the video clips it has recorded. Then again, the video function is just a bonus here and not what this camera is mainly designed for. Bottom line is: terrific photos. Overall the quality of what this little digital camera does is outstanding, and I am extremely happy with our Fujifilm FinePix F30.

we've had this camera for about 4 years now, it was given to us (used) by my father-in-law when he upgraded to a new camera. we have loved this camera and it has served us so well! i've even dropped the thing a few times and it's taken a beating but kept on working! my FIL told us that this camera is no longer made but used ones now sell for more than he paid for it brand new!!! that tells you that this is a quality product that is still in demand even after it's not being manufactured! my favorite thing is that it uses a special battery, rather than AA or AAA batteries. our old camera used to go through batteries like crazy and it would always die at the worst moment. this thing holds a charge for MONTHS at a time!!! it takes great pictures, has zoom, timer settings, and you can pretty much adjust it however you want! i use the macro setting a lot when taking close-ups of my kiddos and the pics come out really great!

I did a lot of research before buying my Fuji FinePix F30 and have found that it lives up to the information I gathered. It has many picture options all of which work very well. I would suggest a tripod if you are wanting to take mainly night photos and expect red eye to show up in some shots but other than that it is a great camera to use, fun and easy. I love the battery life on this camera as well. It last me about a year in between charges. It is also constructed very soundly and lightweight. Small enough to fit in a shirt pocket. I expect it will last a very long time without any problems. It comes with a battery charger, chargeable battery, 1 Gig picture card, computer cable, instruction manual, and wrist strap.
