Fridgedaire air conditioners work very well.
The first hot day of the year, guess what.....our air conditioner died on us.So...after alot of shopping around for a new unit, I purchased my first Fridgedaire brand air conditioner in the spring of 2009. It was replacing a early nineties Fedders model. I really was looking for the most btu's I could find. I live in South Carolina, so our summers can be very very hot and humid. The new Fridgedaire is 25000 Btu. I cools the house with ease, which is about 1300 square feet. It has a touch pad to operate it or I can use the remote. It has a three speed fan. It blows some good cold air and filters out the humidity. It has an adjustable temperature control. It also has a sleep timer on it. The filter is easy to get out when it is time to clean. The air conditioner even has a light that will come on after it runs a set number of hours. It lets you know it is time to clean the filter. I am so happy with its perfomance and would recommend it to everyone who is looking.
