I recently changed over to the Freestyle Lite diabetes monitoring system. I LOVE IT! This is an easy system to utilize and it is much more compacted than most other glucose meters. I can easily put one in my purse and not have it take up the entire inside. It is quick to use, plus it "sucks" the blood into the strip for you. It then "beeps" to let you know there is enough blood in the strip to run the test. No more getting an error message because not enough blood was drawn up into the test strip itself. Another great feature, is if you don't get enough at first, you don't have to throw the test strip away. You just "add" (allow the strip to draw in the blood) more and it will just continue on. NO more having to put in a new strip because the first one wasn't successful. Which means money saved! I HIGHLY recommend this new glucose meter. Having diabetes is enough of a pain in itself, we don't need the pain of testing as well.

About half way through my pregnancy I developed gestational diabetes and my doctor sent me for a diabetes consult.  The nurse sent me home with a Freestyle Flash monitor and told me I had to test my blood sugar four times a day.  Although intimidated at first, I didn't want to jeopardize the health of my unborn baby, so I tested four times per day, as indicated.  To my surprise, this monitor was very easy to use and virtually painless!  Better yet, I could test on my arm or thigh and get my reading, which was so much better than trying to prick your fingertip.  It really saved me a lot of hassle & pain.  I would recommend this monitor for anyone who is diabetic.

The freestyle blood glucose moniter is very reliable. I am a diabetic who lives by her moniter, without it I die.  My freestyle blood glucose moniter has never let me down, no mater how many tests a day I must do. But I think the price is a bit high and the memory needs to hold more testand comments about the test.

 I was surprised how small and cute the Freestyle Lite was. It fits in the palm of my hand. The small meter and its accessories all fit into a tiny pouch. Don't be fooled by its small size, though. This meter packs a big punch in how accurate and easy to use it is. Not only do I not have to code the meter, but the lancets don't hurt me, whether I test on a finger or my arm. I prefer the finger. Arm testing hurts me. The strips are easy to load, and testing is now lots less complicated for me. Diabetes does not have to cramp your style. I carry small purses, and the size of this unobtrusive, "elegant" meter is a definite plus.  Additionally, I only have to provide a tiny speck of blood for testing as opposed to large drops for other meters I've used.

I have used FREE STYLE BLOOD GLUCOSE METER more than 1year and can tell you that it is the best. I have had the disease for the past 10 years and for this long period i had used many different blood glucose meters,but now i am using FreeStyle brand meter and i am happy with it.I love not having to use my fingertips or having a lot of blood for the test,because this system allows you to test on various parts of your body:upper arms,forearms,hands,fingers,thighs and calves-less sensitive parts of our body.Easilly get enough blood from multiple sites without any squeezing,milking or pumping.Less mess. There are only two buttons on the front: CONTROL AND MEMORY.There is no ON-OFF buttons. Its large display provide easy-to-read test results and the monitor itself quitly small,fits perfectly in the palm of the hand.My blood sugar is under control, i check its level after eating meal 3-4 times per day to ensure they do not get too high or too low.There are many benifits of the FreeStyle blood glucose monitoring system,so i recommend this meter for anyone with Diabetes.
