I discovered flip key through my mother, who is very travelling savvy when it comes to finding really cheap stuff. When she came to visit me for Thanksgiving, she booked a beautiful apartment with 3 bedrooms off of flip key. I was impressed. The next time I was travelling, I decided to look into flip key while also searching on air bnb. I found that they both had a nice variety of apartments and rooms and such in the greater NYC area in which I was searching. I found the site easy to use, streamlined, simple, etc. On top of that, it is through tripadvisor so it links up with their site and offers all the cool stuff that you can read about and see on tripadvisor. I did not end up booking my room through flip key, instead I went with air bnb, but I still liked using the site and comparing the stuff with air bnb. I would really like to use this to swap places with someone sometime!
